Got mine today for $3.50 (plus the $0.30 for sauce, eurgh) but Michel's a bit fancy pants. But it's the only place I could buy them in Sydney, y'know, because it's the only place I trust will have some edible meat in it. (Unlike glorious old Adelaide with VILI'S ruling the pies/pasties/sausage roll/small cakes type things worrrrrld.)

A supplier came in this morning and hooked us with savoury cheese crossiants, sweet custard crossiants, mini cupcakes and chocolate. Had the crossiants early, having the cupcakes and chocolate now.

i have never found a sausage roll as good as the ones they used to have in my school canteen, back in the early 80s. there was something special about the pastry. a certain je ne sais quoi.

I know a guy who's "into" those phallic-shaped pies, it's quite disturbing.

sure to be marked an unpopular challopinion by KBP:

vegetarian sausage rolls are actually nicer than real snouts, hooves and arseholes

THAT'S JUST TYPICAL SURRY HILLS FANCY ARSE ELITIST FOOD WANK!!!!!!!!

Actually, I've never had them. I might try one sometime.

King Boy on Parole (King Boy Pato), Wednesday, 26 August 2009 09:26 (sixteen years ago)

I've never had them in a shop, surry hills or elsewhere. Homemade, like a real crunchy granola hippie wanker.

Have been meaning to make homemade chicken saus rolls for ages. Got the mince and the pastry in the freezer. Must give it a try.
