I think the one with the moustache was Hale maybe. Didn't they always stand in the traditional "Hale - Pace" line-up so you cd tell?

Presumably these guys could have been superstars of avant garde comedy round your neck of the woods in the late 80s.

Obv moustache dude is better anyway.

"What ya do is put a dab of butter in the vegemite jar" is forever classic material.

What's that one where they host a kiddy show and one of them is having sex with the other's wife? I like that one.

What's that one where they're bouncers and they say 'diamond geezer' loads because they don't have any actual jokes? I like that one.

I don't think "actual jokes" were the point of Hale & Pace.

Looks fair to me. Wonder what Pace is doing now. No sorry, wonder what public library Pace is hanging around all day now.

Gareth Halesta ja Norman Pacesta tuli tunnettu koomikkopari 1980-luvun puolivälissä.

We sent you Hale and Pace? I'm deeply, deeply sorry, Australians.

mc banhammer (Pashmina), Saturday, 18 September 2010 12:02 (fifteen years ago)

We're partly to blame for receiving them with such enthusiasm. I believe they even had an Australian special at one point (ie: they filmed a bouncers sketch with one or two Australian references).

H: "If you don't watch it, The Management will hang you upside down..."
P: "...but being Australian, you should be used to that."
H: "hur hur hur"
P: "hur hur hur"
H: "So why don't you throw another shrimp on the barbie..."
P: "...and have a tube of Fosters."

There was a promotion for the "Hale & Pace 10th Anniversary Special" on 7 Two the other night.

The tagline? "Before 'Little Britain', there was...'Hale & Pace'!"
