Unfortunately, the Subway staff gave off an air of indifference towards ROCKTOBER. Instead of offering a ICY COLD CAN OF COKE to celebrate, they asked me to repeat what sauce I wanted on the sub. Where was the celebration, the giddiness, I had to ask myself.

Only a few moments before I wondered how I could shoehorn the cultural touchstone of the day ('Gangham Style') into ROCKTOBER. Maybe a dancing flashmob?? ILX loves those.

if I get up too late to make my own leftover roast lamb and pumpkin sandwiches tomorrow I will have a pizza sub in your honour

unless it turns out that whatever a pizza sub is is disgusting, which tbh sounds not impossible

Basically, our main problem with ROCKTOBER at the moment is that we don't have the capital to pay for fun and exciting ROCKTOBER events.

So basically, what I'm saying is: donate to my Kickstarter and you won't regret it and people might get paid for their services.

actually I might take that back - it was p hilairs how, at teh V festival, his enthusiastic keyboard playing caused said keyborad to fall off its stand, and both keyboards and vocals continued to issue from the PA while he left the mic to retrieve and replace his instrument

NB a): he was not even on the bill at this festival and was apparently added on the day
NB b): this show must have been what got him the Soulwax US tour support (that at least resulted in the captain L. Snak's cameo appearance in their tour doco)
