He was the only person there who wasn't a friend of mine, so I felt obligated. Now I regret it--not that I didn't within two minutes, of course

4 - The last couple days of writing have been just for fun.

5 - Novel #5 (I guess; #4 and #5 are in progress at the same time) is also fun, and I'm getting to do my favorite things with it. You know what? I really dig writing.

6 - Talked to a friend last night I had not talked to much in ages.

7 - friends took me out for farewell dinner today, and I had mozzarella carozza, spaghetti aglio e olio (garlic and olive oil), and this cool dessert which was basically a sandwich of Phyllo dough and creme anglaise.

8 - meeting the girlfriend's family this Friday. Whole damn family. Mother, stepfather, father, father's girlfriend, sister, grandmother. First time. At graduation, where girlfriend will for two hours not be present among us. In formal wear, which for me usually means "the clean jeans" and "T-shirts without swears on em," but this time will probably mean "no jeans at all, nor T-shirts neither, dammit." Why am I happy about this today? Cause it ain't Friday yet, chuckles.

9 - lots of email lately from cool people, friends recent and not so recent, and switching to a new account has meant -- so far -- no spam at all.

10 - Bobbins, which I've been re-reading over the last few days.
