Aw!

"Oh St. Angelo of Moore, come guide me in this life to a higher understanding of the way and the one. And show me the way to be the Master of Booty!"

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 15 May 2003 13:55 (twenty-two years ago)

the master of booty....so thats what you guys call me these days huh?

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 15 May 2003 14:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I like how Luna's series of pics (going backwards from #9) goes: hott, way too hott, the bear, the boy*, and back to more HOTT.

*gawsh he's adorable!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 15 May 2003 14:20 (twenty-two years ago)

That was EXACTLY what I was thinking.

Here's me and Sean hangin' here in Winnipeg:
http://www3.mb.sympatico.ca/~bryang/Me%20and%20Sean%20at%20the%20Forks.jpg

And me and Jodi hangin' here in Winnipeg as well (!):
http://www3.mb.sympatico.ca/~bryang/Me%20and%20the%20Jod-ster,%20hangin

We do not normally glow like that (my scanner doesn't like glossy photos, I guess).

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 15 May 2003 14:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Crudders has that scheming-evil-genius thing workin FULLY in that shot! (I believe he's plotting his next bear-photoshopping reign of terror...)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 15 May 2003 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Nick, you think dogs are HAWT? Or did you leave out some steps there?

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 15 May 2003 14:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Crudders looks like Albini in that picture!

hstencil, Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:00 (twenty-two years ago)

*bing bing bing*

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:00 (twenty-two years ago)

tis true, the similarity is uncanny. Sean C always looks so different in each of his pictures, I can't be certain he isn't legion.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:03 (twenty-two years ago)

For he is many.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:04 (twenty-two years ago)

(apparently)

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:04 (twenty-two years ago)

haha!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:04 (twenty-two years ago)

It's true. If Bryan grew a fulsome beard, and then... no hang on, there's no one else on the earth that looks like Todd Trainer.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Luna, I like your slideshow.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:06 (twenty-two years ago)

That top picture of "Bryan" and "me" was really taken during the Steve Albini sessions for the next George Thorogood album. Either that or Ray Romano is about to record a new "indie" comedy album.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:07 (twenty-two years ago)

haha I did a photo search on Albini and found this, this is way funnier than what I was going to post:

http://www.geheime-gesellschaften.de/Albini.jpg

PS Ray Romano/Steve Albini collaboration=ACES YO.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Horace Mann, it's time to show us your true face. Plus, ILX is full of hot chicks who are dying to talk about Meltzer with you.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:09 (twenty-two years ago)

This Ray Romano/Steve Albini collaboration reminds me of how a former horrible roommate of mine who was a lousy stand-up comic now works at Electrical Audio.

hstencil, Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:11 (twenty-two years ago)

What a pretty pic, Erik!

Luna, that clubbin' photo is outrageous. :)

Sarah MCLUsky (coco), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:20 (twenty-two years ago)

That's one word for it.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Here's another...

DAMN!

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:22 (twenty-two years ago)

excuse me...

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I modeled for both male figures in this illustration:

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:37 (twenty-two years ago)

(i.e., the two foreground ones)

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I think that priest is Ned.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:40 (twenty-two years ago)

or Bob Geldof.

ok here's the best interweb compliment ever: Luna, you are so cute that I figured you weren't even real.

g--ff c-nn-n (gcannon), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Allegedly...

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:45 (twenty-two years ago)

What, you look like Hugh Grant being arrested after being found in the back of a bus with Bart Simpson by ZZ Top?

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:48 (twenty-two years ago)

What about this pic?:
http://www3.mb.sympatico.ca/~bryang/Crudders%20lookin

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Isn't Sean just the hunkiest hunk?

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Nordicskillz, is that the first pic that came up when you did an image search on "Jewish"??

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:52 (twenty-two years ago)

People are really gonna think I'm Albini, what with wearing the Silkworm shirt and all.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm so tempted to put up the picture I took of myself last Halloween when I was really drunk and had shaved the top of my head to look bald and was wearing a spacesuit. It is incredibly ridiculous.

slutsky (slutsky), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:53 (twenty-two years ago)

DO IT NOW

Bryan (Bryan), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Nordicskillz, is that the first pic that came up when you did an image search on "Jewish"??

No, that pic was much funnier, but it wouldn't work.Top row, far right. Go see!

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:53 (twenty-two years ago)

This is a terrible pic of me! I been rained on!

http://bitchcakes.topcities.com/images/crappyfountain.jpg

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm so tempted to put up the picture I took of myself last Halloween when I was really drunk and had shaved the top of my head to look bald and was wearing a spacesuit. It is incredibly ridiculous.

You KNOW you want to.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:54 (twenty-two years ago)

No, that pic was much funnier, but it wouldn't work.Top row, far right. Go see!

Actually, it's "jew" .

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:55 (twenty-two years ago)

FYI the Halloween pic is urgent and key.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:56 (twenty-two years ago)

But I'm scared. It's so ridiculous.

slutsky (slutsky), Thursday, 15 May 2003 15:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Give in to our peer pressure, slutsky! How can being coerced into something be BAD?

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:00 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not as ridiculous as the picture of I have of Tracer Hand dressed up as Casper the Friendly Ghost or whatever the hell he was meant to be, I bet.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:00 (twenty-two years ago)

slutsky, how does it compare to that last picture of you?

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I have been online with some of you mentalists for about 6 years(!) without posting a picture, I am not about to start now.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I think that priest is Ned.

I'd have a better cross than THAT.

Meanwhile, I know you like The Matrix and all, Ally, but you forgot the sunglasses.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Which one was that, Nordicskillz?

slutsky (slutsky), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

What does it even mean, Ned?!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Too much talky talky, not enough pictures.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

*looks at photo again* It means you also need a longer trenchcoat as well! What kind of Trinity are you?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Slutsky -

Ummm, it had a candle in it. And you had the expression of a malnourished dog.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:04 (twenty-two years ago)

NED I'M NOT THE GIRL FROM THE MATRIX!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Why don't YOU tell ME how it compares?

http://www.nomediakings.org/~slutsky/Party%20Time72.jpg

slutsky (slutsky), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Shit that's good.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I am teasing. ;-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:13 (twenty-two years ago)

The sad thing is at this point I had lost my vandyke-style beard and square-framed granny glasses.

slutsky (slutsky), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

No you aren't. I'm going to start calling you Morpheus from now on. Actually, like a year ago or something, someone said "Hi Trinity" to me on the street. I thought they mistook me for a real person named Trinity--COULD IT ACTUALLY BE MY COAT? I had on sunglasses at the time and it was when I had short hair. I don't look anything like her, are these your trained lackeys Raggett?

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

are these your trained lackeys Raggett

Trained Raggett lackies = Raggies

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I grow them on ranches in the Arctic and release them to roam wild.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:18 (twenty-two years ago)

If someone doesn't photoshop Ned Raggett's head onto Morpheus by the time I'm done with my lunchbreak, all ya'all mothafuckas are gonna die.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I actually don't mind this designation as it gives me the chance to say, "Wait a minute, what the hell am I doing letting KEANU REEVES save humanity?"

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

No, dude, as Morpheus you have to totally support the Keanu. WTF, everyone knows that.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Time for me to correct the Wachowskis' grave blunder.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

slutsky that picture lays waste.

g--ff c-nn-n (gcannon), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:22 (twenty-two years ago)

No. That's not how it works. I didn't say "Someone photoshop Ned's head onto Guy Pearce in Time Machine so he can go back in time and fuck with the Wachowskis". Ok? When I say that, you can do that. Until then, you're stuck with the Keanu Love, buster.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmm. There appears to be an error in your programming, Agent K****y.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Slutsky is my nu-hero! Best! Pic! EVAAAAAAAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:27 (twenty-two years ago)

(Oh yes, and Slutsky's picture is indeed of the gods.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks. It's from a roll of pictures I took within a frenzied five-minute span at our big annual blowout Halloween party. Most of the other shots are of the back of people's heads etc.

slutsky (slutsky), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish I looked that good when I get rained on...

slutsky looks like someone straight out of Boogie Nights.

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

That actually works very well, Chris.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh my god... Chris, you're my hero.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris, I kiss you.

Does anyone else think I look really tiny in that picture of me? I just passed it again and I'm like, I look like I'm 5'2 or something. It's a bit odd.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 15 May 2003 16:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, you look like a secret leprachaun.

Not exactly as illustrated.

Jodi (Celerina), Thursday, 15 May 2003 17:52 (twenty-two years ago)

he can hear out of his nose, thats his special power.

It's big enough.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 15 May 2003 17:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Nickalious and I share the same saint-look expression in our pictures

Erik, Thursday, 15 May 2003 18:01 (twenty-two years ago)

because someone just mentioned it to me and it grossed me out, that thing on my face in that picture is not a mole, it's a stud.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 15 May 2003 18:32 (twenty-two years ago)

We're like brothers united by holy bliss-from-above, erik!

And geez Luna, that could be a big hairy BEAR growing on your face and you'd still be GORGEOUS, so cheee-il grrrl!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 15 May 2003 18:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Uh oh.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 15 May 2003 18:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't seem to find any pictures of me in which I am not drunk. I fear this says too much about my lifestyle.

C J (C J), Thursday, 15 May 2003 18:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I have just seen the slutsky photo. I am stunned. Paralysed. It's like that episode when Homer catches Apu with the Squishy lady, and walks backwards the whole way home.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 16 May 2003 01:17 (twenty-two years ago)

So I just found this one... it's from last fall and it's in flash so you have scroll thru till you get to "The Turtleneck Collective." I'm on the right.

http://www.thehouseofpr.com/thehouseofpr/viewer/viewer.htm?1

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 16 May 2003 13:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I think someone should make a slideshow of all of these and put music to it.

Chris V. (Chris V), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, we should use "Losing My Edge".

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:10 (twenty-two years ago)

(j0ke!

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:11 (twenty-two years ago)

i like "The Turtleneck Collective" sounds like a good band name.

Chris V. (Chris V), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Aaron yr willingly posting a pic of yrself in a turtleneck?!?!?

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:13 (twenty-two years ago)

It's ok, he probably figures we'll all give up looking for it, what with it being in the dead centre of about 400 pictures of people none of us know!

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno. I think Aaron and I have to reassess our relationship.

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I think his last picture on here was in a turtleneck, too! (he must be a fan)

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I've been living a lie!

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I think Aaron and I have to reassess our relationship

You mean no more fuckmeets?

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:17 (twenty-two years ago)

this is a picture of me when I was younger (what? you mean there are also pictures of you when you're older? thanks Mitch Hedberg) probably '97

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Now, just put a goatee and some big ole feet on that...

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:21 (twenty-two years ago)

You said you were a Kerouac fan.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Does that T-shirt say "Iggy" or "Itchy"?

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:22 (twenty-two years ago)

You said you were a Kerouac fan. what's that got to do with anything? I'm also, sort of, an Iggy Pop fan. Can't a dude be both?

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:23 (twenty-two years ago)

That's right, I did the Iggy!

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:24 (twenty-two years ago)

what's that got to do with anything?

aHA! ;)

Sean C - hahaha!

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey what's wrong with turtlenecks? And sorry you had to wade thru all those other pictures... it's not MY fault you're dying to see me. *brushes hair off shoulder*

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:27 (twenty-two years ago)

cripes.
what am I missing?

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I actually didn't see you at all! I gave up after about 40 pictures!

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Turtlenecks make you look like an uncircumcized penis, Aaron!

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:31 (twenty-two years ago)

He is wearing a turtleneck. His hair looks wet. It's worth the wait.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Yanc3y, that was my favourite post of yours, EVAH.

When I read your magazine, I don't see one wrinkled face or single toothless grin. For shame! To the sickos at 'Modern Bride' magazine!

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Turtlenecks make you look like an uncircumcized penis, Aaron!

Wow. Really? Wow....

Aaron W (Aaron W), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:33 (twenty-two years ago)

You're so funny, Yanc3y, why don't you share with us your Jiggawatts joke again too? And also whatever joke you made yesterday that I told you was horrible. That one was good too.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah!

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:37 (twenty-two years ago)

If I could find a pic of a bear flipping the bird I'd post it right now.

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Like I said, you should photoshop bears into every single joke you make, cos that would hide how lame they are!

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, well you should photoshop a bear onto YR FACE! YEAH!

http://www.animal-lib.org.au/lists/circus/bear.gif

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought the jiggawatts joke was funny, i did read it while looking at a computer screen in a library though.

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:42 (twenty-two years ago)

dammit Nordic, explain the Kerouac thing to my not-fully-awake brain.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I dunno, I swear I've seen JK in a very similar pose.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:55 (twenty-two years ago)

i love simpsons references.

once i get another scanner cable i'll have pics to post. Pics of me with the heathens, pics of me drinking, drawings of my ass, etc.

That Girl (thatgirl), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Don't get all self-conscious about it, was just a random brain-fart.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, well your random brain-fart just ruined his life, yo.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a great picture of myself with some puppets.

Scuse my brain-fart (*opens theoretical window, does wafting motion with hand*)

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

that might make sense, actually. That picture was taken during my most JK-obsessed period. Had just come off the road, was hard at work on my first novel, running around chasing girls and getting drunk, then going to visit my friend Danny who was an overnight security guard at a lonely downtown office tower, where we would smoke cigarettes and drink coffee on the 12th floor (yes, regina has buildings with 12 floors or more) and talk poetry and chicks.
he was a great avoider of work. still is, working on his third degree.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 16 May 2003 15:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Good times.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 16 May 2003 15:04 (twenty-two years ago)

when he knew he would have no visitors, he would sleep on office furniture. of course, security guards have to check in once an hour, so he rigged up something akin to a beer helmet with elastic bands whereby he had his walkie-talkie on one ear and his pager on the other. So he could hear when the other security guards checked in, or if there was any trouble.
Eventually he started doing this from home, and after three of getting paid $12/hr to sleep in his own bed he was discovered and sacked.

I love that guy. He's (one of) my (all too many for it to really be an honour to anybody) hero(es).

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 16 May 2003 15:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't think the turtleneck picture looked at all bad, Aaron. The Cosmo one was nicer though.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 16 May 2003 16:11 (twenty-two years ago)

If you read Horace's last post as a response to Andrew's, it's totally funnier.

Mark C (Mark C), Friday, 23 May 2003 09:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Er sorry, it was a pun, and not a good one.

Frühlingsmute (Wintermute), Friday, 23 May 2003 10:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks Nordicskillz! I really should've looked harder for this thread (or utilized the search engine), but it was far too early in the morning for me and I -- er, this is starting to feel like excuse time.

Warning: Those with weak stomachs should look away.

http://www.ladyinterference.com/deanna/angndee.JPG

This is a picture of a good friend of mine (to the left) and me (to the right), ca. 2001, before I went on a diet and lost 50 lbs. I was told by my doctor that I was 65 lbs overweight and I should really lose some weight. I did -- and now I'm stuck here at this weight. Oh well. At least I look better now than I did then.

Ugh, but that picture -- miserable! Unfortunate that this is the last picture I've ever had taken of myself. Bad, bad, bad.

Wait, wait--are you calling Sean a zombie?!

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 26 May 2003 19:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not calling him not a zombie, but I'm not sure how that would figure with the previous discoveries that Crudders is my New York painter friend and possibly everyone else as well.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Monday, 26 May 2003 19:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I find that highly unlikely.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 26 May 2003 19:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 26 May 2003 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Geoshcities doesn't like direct liking images, usually---best to put up the URL and let people click their way over.

Sarah: i've had my hair loads of colours, but never blue. although i'd thought about it and wanted to---i always get worried about when it'll start to turn that weird greenish colour. bright colours like that always look really nice in the light, though. and thanks! :)

Teeny: i loved that shirt when i had it, but unfortunately i loved it so much i wore it out! :( there's another one i've got that i like even more. it's a half-and-half one; half negative and half positive black-on-white and white-on-black. featuring Death and a coffee cup, and i forget whose drawing of her it was. the coffee cup is starting to develop a tear, so i haven't worn it in awhile because i don't want that shirt to end up like my other Death shirt did. :)

The trick on Geocities is to name your file something ending in ".txt" and then do an i http = "whatever.txt" type thing. It seems to work!

Sarah: that's Eric; he's our drummer. and as he's one of the few people i still am in contact with from my high school days (we didn't go to school together, but that's another story), i feel reasonably safe in saying he never went to school in NC.

that doesn't mean his doppelganger didn't, however. ;)

Agreed. You look very nice, and not even in an evil mastermind way in this picture.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 12 June 2003 13:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Hanging around with Gareth reminded me what a winning sense of humor he has in person as well as on line. The picture captures it just so -- while also, as noted, being v. nice.

Dammit, I always get that Rushmore shit. I need a nose job. Just kidding, Rushmore rules. Wait, are you saying Sarah looks like an elderly Bill Murray? Why I oughta...
I saw Jason Schwartzman here in Richmond because Phantom Planet played at my favorite record store and I came in right after they played and he was shopping for cds, and damn, that guy is SHORT. I'm like 5'8 and he was a good 3-4 inches shorter than me.
I am not twee, I am fucking hardcore.

Number 23434154 in the series of "How Di roxors" photos. And that is indeed Duane, who looks like he's trying to figure out how that one drum part on the Sir Lord Baltimore album goes.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 7 July 2003 02:20 (twenty-one years ago)

what does wibble mean?

Would it be creepy if I told everyone that I already did that one really boring night with a former ILXor?

Ally (mlescaut), Sunday, 27 July 2003 07:29 (twenty-one years ago)

"Visit Chechnya" is my euphemism of the week.

You really do all rock, you know. It's been said time and time again, but we are SO hott. All of us. Especially Mitch and Di, on the above evidence - and Maura, and Laura, and Prude (you were great in "Charles in Charge"), and Layna - I suppose it's not surprising if you get to choose which pics to post of yourself.

Di, I hope you're now having riotous cybersex with a whole heap of ILXor beauties. I can't imagine it any other way.

Sarah, my legs are okay, thanks for asking. Slightly more muscled than in the last one, as I've played a lot of footie since then. They are soon to be tanned on an Italian beach. Rar.

I would take a new picture for y'all but I think i've lucked out on a couple before and it'd only disappoint everyone.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Larcole (Nicole), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:36 (twenty-one years ago)

TIM HO'S!!! yay for that say I.

s1utsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm shocked to shit it took that long for someone to ask that, actually.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Now that the shock has passed, we demand the answer.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, what are you gonna do for me in return?

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:41 (twenty-one years ago)

See, Rudders, maybe it's just coz I was a tourist, but I quite fancied the Maple Lattes from The Second Cup, and can't imagine going to a Tim Hortons for coffees. Perhaps it was just coz they were served with gusto by your poutine-fed Canuck womens you have up there. I don't know what this has to do with anything.

JMMMM, Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, what are you gonna do for me in return?

You have a cartoon of me courtesy of Lolita Corpus that you can cause to suffer any number of fates -- drowning in my own hair, whatever -- and you ask more?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:45 (twenty-one years ago)

SECOND CUP?!!?!?!?!

s1utsky (slutsky), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:45 (twenty-one years ago)

At least Ned didn't quote Gigli.

Larcole (Nicole), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Well it's coffee in general that I have such a personal relationship with, Jimmy, but since you brought it up: when it comes to generic drip coffee I go for Tim's because it's good and much cheaper than Starbucks or Second Cup (the difference between Second Cup drip and tapwater is often just the colour brown). The clerks at the Timmy's I go to are also pretty cool, so it's a winnah.

See Rudders (SeanC), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:48 (twenty-one years ago)

At least Ned didn't quote Gigli.

Thank heavens for ILX threads.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:49 (twenty-one years ago)

I want a Neddy SIM that, when it gets hungry, goes to the CD bar instead of the salad bar.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:50 (twenty-one years ago)

sean goes to evil starbucks. don't let him trick you all. a capitalist till the end!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I want a Neddy SIM that, when it gets hungry, goes to the CD bar instead of the salad bar.

This is scarily accurate.

Donut Bitch, a new project awaits!

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I dunno, when you all were in my SIMS game you set fire to each other and everyone died.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Was I in yr Sims game, Ally?

JMMMMMMMMMMMM, Tuesday, 29 July 2003 16:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Dude, like I'd kill you off purposely.

Um, everyone else ignore that "purposely" up there.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 17:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Look at that li'l fukker!

jmmmmm, Tuesday, 29 July 2003 17:29 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm sorry to say it Nick, but you aren't looking any less like the Rushmore/Phantom Planet kid.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 17:35 (twenty-one years ago)

The Greg Dulli comparison seems to be gaining favor among my friends over the Rushmore comparison. The bass player in my band was drawing pictures of us on the bottom of our set list, and she drew everyone else as stick figures but drew me as having a body (ie, fat), so I took it from her and drew a gun in my hand and me shooting her, then she took it back and made a speech bubble so that she was saying "Why, Greg Dulli?"

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 17:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm like totally in love with your bass player now!

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Nick looks totally stoned in that pic - and he's at work!

Anyway, don't you think ALL of Ned's posts should be accompanied by one of lolita's lil' http://www.grampaslap.com/images/ned.gifs? What are those things called? Those little cartoon people that are supposed to represent you?

Sarah MCLusky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow, Maura looks rather like Maggie Gyllenhaal! that is cool.

daria g (daria g), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Yup! That's what I thought when I first saw her pic too.

Sarah MCLusky (coco), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

i would say we need a pixelised avatar of Gareth now, but i've already played with his head far too much and i think he is suspicious of me

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I dunno. What do you call that feeling? "Taking myself too seriously," maybe.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Jess is either in a Hallmark movie-of-the-week or a tampon commercial from the '70's.

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:49 (twenty-one years ago)

noticed well-stocked bar behind head to explain smile

jess (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I just emailed the "Why, Greg Dulli?" pic to my bass player. I await her response.

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I dunno. What do you call that feeling? "Taking myself too seriously," maybe.

"Emo"?

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 19:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Woohoo! :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 22:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Sean, that's probably the best picture of you ever on ilx.

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Nah, the one where he's all trying to be bad ass while hiking is the best one.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Exactly why this one is better - it's more realer and stuff.

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 00:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Plus, it has Tim! The coffee looked so beautiful.

Larcole (Nicole), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 01:18 (twenty-one years ago)

The coffee was hidden in an opaque cup and therefore you are projecting your whims.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 01:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Fool, if it says "Tim Horton's" you know the stuff inside is ace, even if the writing around the outside is in French. Larcole knows what I mean. (ps thanks sand.y n Kim)

Sarah MCLUsky (coco), Wednesday, 30 July 2003 13:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Mark, to post a pic from geocities, you have to go into yr file manager, rename the file as a text file (with a .txt prefix), and then put the link to it here.

no it didn't at least not on my computer, so I actually registered on friendster specially. Unfortuanately, the notification e-mail with the verification number was sent to the e-mail address that I can't access at work, so unless you repost the pic I'll have to wait until I get home!

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 31 July 2003 08:13 (twenty-one years ago)

hmm.. the pressure is on now!
well it's not working on mine either. I'll find another way..

Fabrice (Fabfunk), Thursday, 31 July 2003 08:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, I don't think you can link to friendster pix. Try putting your photo up on another page and linking to that.

Sarah MCLUsky (coco), Thursday, 31 July 2003 12:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Mark, to post a pic from geocities, you have to go into yr file manager, rename the file as a text file (with a .txt prefix), and then put the link to it here.

His link does work, as long as you remove the .jpg bit, ie.

http://uk.geocities.com/grandpontgenie/DSCF0001

I don't know why this works, but it does.
