Tim Buckley - Get On Top (minus the talking in tongues part)
Vaio - Rapture

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 15:47 (twenty-two years ago)

i dunno about stripping, but tricky's "christiansands" always makes me want to give a lap dance. i think it's that sick beat.

maybe that's a little too much information from someone who mostly lurks, if so... uh, sorry.

praying mantis (praying mantis), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 15:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Not at all!

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 15:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Again, not stripping, but I have to admit that a really good bass line makes me want to take my clothes off.

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 15:55 (twenty-two years ago)

*writes note, learn to play bass*

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 15:56 (twenty-two years ago)

James Brown's "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag"

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 15:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Portishead, I can't think of the name of the song.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:03 (twenty-two years ago)

If I stripped to Portishead it would take me like 3 days to get all my clothes off.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Kenny G

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:05 (twenty-two years ago)

imagine the sex afterwards.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Kenny G rocks the striptease, i usually stick a clarinet over my penis for the finale.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:06 (twenty-two years ago)

john tesh and dweezil and ahmet zappa - black sabbath's "the wizard"

Styles From Beyond "Muuvon"
Tom Tom Club "Genius Of Love"
Zoot Woman "Living In (A) Magazine"
Renegade Soundwave "Cocaine Sex"
Anything by Depth Charge pretty much.

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I mean, most of the stuff at above this might be good strip club music at Twee Bingo night.

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Journey - Anyway you want it. Only in a perfect world.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:11 (twenty-two years ago)

And no one's mentioned Frankie Goes To Hollywood's "Relax" yet!

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Motley Crue to thread.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight....I would quite possibly throw up.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Tricky and Prince own. Also: Peaches, "Lovertits." Tailor-made.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

The Black Keys - Thickfreakness, comes to mind...only from a recent experience.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Something sexy about it.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

"More Human Than Human"! It's the only thing that song is good for!! Also I was informed that "New York New York" was a big stripper song at some point over the past week.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Those Crypt records compilations of old 50-60s stripping tunes (all of which have titles like "The Grind", "Do the Mash") definitely sound like songs for stripping or getting good and sleazy.

earlnash, Wednesday, 9 July 2003 16:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Lords of Acid - "I Sit on Acid"

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Strippin' old school style: "Harlem Nocturne" by The Viscounts

Charles McCain (Charles McCain), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:09 (twenty-two years ago)

How about "Sex Swarf" by Soft Cell?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm having fun imagining what a regular swarf is now, much less a sex one.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:12 (twenty-two years ago)

When will people accept that Kenny G does not play the clarinet (he might, recreationally) but he plays the Soprano Sax (which looks like a clarinet, but is infinitely more wussy).

I saw a nice lady in London Ont take her clothes off to James Brown's "It's A Man's Man's Man's World."

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I would love to see someone strip to "Thieves".

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I would take off my clothes to KISS's "New York Groove"

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Kool Keith's "Don't Crush It" OWNZ the pole.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:15 (twenty-two years ago)

"Pink Panther Theme"

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:27 (twenty-two years ago)

"LICK THE BALLS"!!!!!!!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:30 (twenty-two years ago)

"NOT RIGHT NOW, I'M BUSY, MAYBE LATER" !!!!!

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:31 (twenty-two years ago)

"Can You Dig It?"

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm going to have to bring up the Outhere Brothers, aren't I?

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally thats off of Ace Frehleys solo album and I own multiple copies.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Why do you need more than one? You're now my idol.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Saw someone strip to "She's Lost Control" by Joy Division, once. Highly depressing.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:37 (twenty-two years ago)

You lie.

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Did the confusion in...oh never mind.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

when is watching someone strip not depressing?
true story: i cried my first time in a strip club.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

HAHAHA! "Tonight I will be stripping to 'The Sky's Gone Out' by Bauhaus. Enjoy."

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

"This Corrosion"!

Ally (mlescaut), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Anytime I've been to a strip club, one of the performers always puts on "Mother" by Danzig.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:41 (twenty-two years ago)

The Cure - Pictures of You

More than one copy because I have it on vinyl and tape as well as cd.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:42 (twenty-two years ago)

"Peace Sells But Who's Buying" by Megadeth.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I like in that movie "Exotica" when the schoolgirl stripper strips to a Leonard Cohen song.

Mandee, Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:45 (twenty-two years ago)

The only stripper I've ever seen doing her thing (having only been to one strip-club evah) didn't look depressed at all! She was smiling, not like ballet-dancers-"I-must-smile-or-my-performance-is-lost!" kinda smile, but an actual "I like this song and I like to dance and I have a nice body and I'm not ashamed of it and these people are giving me hella money" smile. She was stripping to "Hot for Teacher" of course.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 17:48 (twenty-two years ago)

The Cure - Pictures of You

The Mixed Up version.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:13 (twenty-two years ago)

"We Suck Young Blood"!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:16 (twenty-two years ago)

"how much is that doggie in the window?"

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:17 (twenty-two years ago)

If you're going to strip to The Cure, you chould consider the following:

"Never Enough"
"The Snakepit"
"All I Want"
"Throw Your Foot"
"The Walk"
"Close To Me"
"Fascination Street"
"Fight"
"Let's Go To Bed"
"High"
"Harold And Joe"
"2 Late"
"Babble"
"Wrong Number"
"Just Say Yes"
"Cut Here"
"Ocean"
"Club America"
"Hot Hot Hot!!!"

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Kids, kids, kids -- PEGGY LEE. Her voice was made for stripping.

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:39 (twenty-two years ago)

"Push It"

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:41 (twenty-two years ago)

push it would be a terrible stripping song.

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)

"Touch Me (All Night Long)" vs "Touch Me (I Wanna Feel Your Body)" FITE

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh my God I just saw where Chris suggested "Anyway You Want It". I've never seen anyone more OTM ever in my life.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:53 (twenty-two years ago)

true, i guess "push it" would be more of a lapdance song.

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

"Shoop" is the Salt 'N Pepa strip song.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

If you're going to strip to The Cure, you chould consider the following:

"Never Enough"
"The Snakepit"
"All I Want"
"Throw Your Foot"
"The Walk"
"Close To Me"
"Fascination Street"
"Fight"
"Let's Go To Bed"
"High"
"Harold And Joe"
"2 Late"
"Babble"
"Wrong Number"
"Just Say Yes"
"Cut Here"
"Ocean"
"Club America"
"Hot Hot Hot!!!"

Worst. Strip Club. Ever.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't realize you were a patron of strip clubs, Nicole.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 18:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Patron Saint of strip clubs

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 19:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Ah, all is clear.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 19:06 (twenty-two years ago)

I wanna see someone strip to Miles Davis' "Circle in the Round", but that's just cuz it's like 30 minutes long, and I want my money's worth.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm game. But I'll have to put on everything I own first.

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 19:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Gett Off - Prince
Body Talk - Imagination

I'm sure Rick James has a few 'get your kit off' songs in his catalogue. Oh yeah, and INXS 'Need You Tonight' always made me feel like peeling off, always liked the way he said 'come over here'

Saskia, Wednesday, 9 July 2003 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Any version of "Freak Like Me" and I'm thiking that "Union of the Snake" would work pretty well too.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 20:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I suppose "You Can Leave Your Hat On" is a little obvious

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 20:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Suede - Can't Get Enough

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 21:39 (twenty-two years ago)

(though again that might be more of a lapdance song)

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 21:40 (twenty-two years ago)

The extended version of "Hot Hot Hot!!!" would be k-taste sensation!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 21:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Black Crowes "Hard to Handle" sort of works

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 21:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Um, NO

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 21:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I said sort of. I had specifics in mind.

luna (luna.c), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 21:54 (twenty-two years ago)

"Let Me Entertain You"

rosemary (rosemary), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 22:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Bjork - Venus as A boy

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 22:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris V because of the way that song is used in a certain movie I think that is the dirtiest and possibly the most illegal suggestion ever

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 22:24 (twenty-two years ago)

I think it would be utterly classic to go to a strip club that ONLY played James Bond opening-credits singles. Every single one of those tracks is like solid sleazy Vegas go-go gold.

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 22:26 (twenty-two years ago)

how did n.e.r.d.'s lapdance not appear yet?

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 22:30 (twenty-two years ago)

because it's not a good strip tune?

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 22:30 (twenty-two years ago)

king dick:black flag

kephm, Wednesday, 9 July 2003 22:32 (twenty-two years ago)

big black even

kephm, Wednesday, 9 July 2003 22:34 (twenty-two years ago)

dj shadow: high noon
nin: get dopwn make love
love & rockets: my drug

fad gadget: one mas meat...haha ok no

kephm, Wednesday, 9 July 2003 22:38 (twenty-two years ago)

mas=meat

suicide:diamonds,fur coat,champagne

kephm, Wednesday, 9 July 2003 22:42 (twenty-two years ago)

No, not because of the professional Millar.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 22:44 (twenty-two years ago)

The one time I went to a strip club the DJ actually played Portishead's "Nobody Loves Me" and something by Rage Against the Machine ("People of the Sun"?). He also played REM's "The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight," but that turned out to be effective.

j.lu (j.lu), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 23:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Stripping to RATM = instant limpie

Millar (Millar), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 23:05 (twenty-two years ago)

If it involved stripping away the flesh of Zach de la Rocha, it would be a turn on for all.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 23:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Now that's some adult entertainment I could enjoy.

j.lu (j.lu), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 23:09 (twenty-two years ago)

I reckon this would make a good soundtrack for a strip:

http://www.musicomh.com/singles/goldfrapp-3.htm
Goldfrapp - Strict Machine (Mute)release date: 21 July 2003

DJ Martian (djmartian), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 23:17 (twenty-two years ago)

well if you trust Drunk Di, the Sound of Music is the perfect striptease soundtrack. (see why i gave up booze?)

di smith (lucylurex), Wednesday, 9 July 2003 23:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I am going to admit something that I really should keep to myself.

One night, I went to this gay club with a couple of friends, this was maybe a year or two ago. Closer to two now. On Thursday nights, they serve margaritas and cosmopolitans for $1, no shit. Not terribly weak ones either. So, obviously, we had a lot to drink. Dee-Lite's "What Is Love" comes on for some reason. I was already dancing with the go-go dancer boys (who were so not at all attractive, wtf?) and somehow got convinced to striptease, which turned into real stripping. The bartender ended up paying me about $50 out of his tips for my time stripping on the bar.

This is why "What Is Love?" is my favorite Dee-Lite song.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 July 2003 00:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Let's get back to this brilliant vision of the flaying of De La Rocha.

++The bartender ended up paying me about $50 out of his tips for my time stripping on the bar.

i dont think this is how it is supposed to work.

kephm, Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Why not?

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:07 (twenty-two years ago)

cause you dance better than $50.00?
gay men want to see wang&abs??
benjamins go under g string?

kephm, Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:10 (twenty-two years ago)

These are the questions of our time.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not saying any of it actually made sense.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:12 (twenty-two years ago)

http://www.sierratel.com/robprod/thinking.jpg

Dada, Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:13 (twenty-two years ago)

since we are sharing, when i lost my virginity, dee-lite were on the cd player(maybe there is a connection?). also, a small, white terrier that i had never met before, jumping on & off the bed. then Haujobb started playing.i didn't even like the girl. that night didn't make much sense either.

kephm, Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Did you lose your virginity at the Works?

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:23 (twenty-two years ago)

the works? is that the gay bar?

kephm, Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:26 (twenty-two years ago)

No, it's an arbitrary thing I just made up for no real reason at all!

Ok, sarcasm was unnecessary in that instance, wasn't it?

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:27 (twenty-two years ago)

i just had the image of the bed, terrier, girl etc. in the middle of a gay strip club.

kephm, Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmm, a couple of tracks of Elastica are good for this but I can't be bothered to look them up at the mo'.

Song which most makes me want to shake my ass lewdly in people's faces: "Get Low" by Lil' Jon and the Eastside Boyz.

For the life of me (well, acutally probably b/c of the alcohol consumed at the time) I can't remember what was playing when I got up on stage at that strip joint a couple of weeks ago. Hmm. . .

That Girl (thatgirl), Thursday, 10 July 2003 01:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Dada, Thursday, 10 July 2003 03:46 (twenty-two years ago)

By the Doors? That doesn't seem very sexy.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Thursday, 10 July 2003 03:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm fairly certain it wasn't a Doors track.

That Girl (thatgirl), Thursday, 10 July 2003 04:02 (twenty-two years ago)

"One Tree Hill" - U2

James Blount (James Blount), Thursday, 10 July 2003 04:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Barry Manilow - i write the songs

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 10 July 2003 09:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Aphex Twin SAW II

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 10 July 2003 09:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I agree with Sterling, gotta be lapdance by N*E*R*D.
Or Candy by Foxy Brown.
If you were stripping for your s/o then I reckon Marvin Gaye (maybe let's get it on) has gotta be the one, for that seductress type mood. *i've said too much*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 10 July 2003 09:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Ahh fuck it, any dirty sounding hip hop would do! yep, bring it on!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 10 July 2003 09:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Marvin Gaye - Come Get to This, best.

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 10 July 2003 10:44 (twenty-two years ago)

"Paranoid Android". What do I win?

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 July 2003 12:25 (twenty-two years ago)

You win the biggest prize of all!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 10 July 2003 12:26 (twenty-two years ago)

A dinner and extended philosophical conversation with Thom Yorke!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 10 July 2003 12:30 (twenty-two years ago)

*applause*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 10 July 2003 12:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Imagine stripping to "Climbing Up The Walls"!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 10 July 2003 12:37 (twenty-two years ago)

You are the only one who would, Mr. Perry.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 10 July 2003 12:42 (twenty-two years ago)

beep boop beep boop tits, beep boop beep boop beav.

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 10 July 2003 12:43 (twenty-two years ago)

It would be all forlorn and desolate... yet sexy! And the pole twirls as the music builds to that climax, ending in the stripper prostrate on the stage, tears streaming down face and hands reaching imploringly towards the captivated and aroused audience... MAGIC!

(I think I am now insane.)

(Chris's crosspost completely destroys the point of this one, damn.)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 10 July 2003 12:45 (twenty-two years ago)

What is that Bloodhound Gang song about the lapdance being better if a stripper cries? That's about Dan.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 July 2003 13:04 (twenty-two years ago)

One of my friends is a strip club master, he has a technique down and everything. His favorite thing to do is to "blow in it".

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 10 July 2003 13:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Beck's "New Pollution"!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 10 July 2003 13:08 (twenty-two years ago)

It sounds strange, but it would totally work.

Deftones - No Ordinary Love

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 10 July 2003 18:26 (twenty-two years ago)

Curve - "Coast Is Clear"

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 10 July 2003 18:34 (twenty-two years ago)

The Orb "Fluffy Little Clouds"

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 10 July 2003 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

"Ooh I Like It"

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 July 2003 19:23 (twenty-two years ago)

"Tempus Fugit" by Yes.

kidding.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 10 July 2003 19:31 (twenty-two years ago)

As long as someone's taking off their clothes, it's a good stripping song.

NA. (Nick A.), Thursday, 10 July 2003 19:32 (twenty-two years ago)

The real answer: "Love Like Blood"!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 10 July 2003 19:32 (twenty-two years ago)

"Peace Sells But Who's Buying" by Megadeth.
-- Ned Raggett (ne...), July 9th, 2003."Can You Dig It?" So LoL!

If you mean the H Monday's song - great call
"Can You Dig It?"
-- Dan Perry (djperr...), July 9th, 2003.

Also find Saint Etienne - 'Kiss & Make Up' terminally erotic.

Eduardo (Rivers and a Lighter), Thursday, 10 July 2003 19:33 (twenty-two years ago)

As long as someone's taking off their clothes, it's a good stripping song.

Even "Windowlicker"?

j.lu (j.lu), Thursday, 10 July 2003 19:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Windowlicker would still be better than RATM, or Beastie Boys, or anything like that. Seriously. That music just makes me want to start fights and jump across car hoods in slow motion. Those are the WRONG juices to be gettin' flowin' in a strip show.

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 10 July 2003 19:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Windowlicker is fucking hottt. All those gasping noises and deep bass and shit. Though it should be noted that I've never seen the video, so that may be influencing my thoughts on this matter.

NA. (Nick A.), Thursday, 10 July 2003 19:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Windowlicker really is interesting in the sense that that's exactly what I suppose Aphex Twin thinks fucking ought to sound like. I have to have a couple of whiskies to actually enjoy it. Completely shit EP though. Should've been a single with remixes.

Millar (Millar), Thursday, 10 July 2003 19:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 11 July 2003 13:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I think this is how Paul met Heather Mills.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 11 July 2003 13:18 (twenty-two years ago)

"Darling...you look so good...why don't I put on some romantic music...like 'My Love'...or maybe 'Jet'."

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 11 July 2003 13:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I really have to say this. I really hate the song "Let 'Em In". Nicole has hit upon my most primal kill instinct by bringing up that song. It's sort of like the concept of "Is there a topic so banal we won't discuss it?" in song format. Who gives a fuck if someone is knocking at Paul McCartney's door? The entire song amounts to "Can you go open the door, I think the mailman has a package for us" for like 5 minutes!

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 11 July 2003 13:25 (twenty-two years ago)

And what, pray tell, is in the mailman's package? (hem hem)

EVERY SONG IS A STRIPPER SONG!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 11 July 2003 13:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Dan, don't try your jokes on me cos now I'm just sitting here getting really pissed off at the fact that I have to answer the bloody door. Why can't Paul? Is he crippled suddenly? Fucking hoity toity too good to answer the door bastard shitface fucker.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 11 July 2003 13:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Last night, we saw a woman stripteasing to "Lucretia My Reflection". I'm not kidding.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 11 August 2003 01:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I gave my roommate a lap dance in May to 'One Time Too Many' by PJ Harvey - she's a Big fan, and I love that one too (I got the Batman Forever sdtrk with it long before I knew who PJ was!)

Alexis (Alexis), Monday, 11 August 2003 02:21 (twenty-two years ago)

...and then the song finished while I was still half-clothed, so it ended up finishing to Just Can't Get Enough. Whoops! Next time, I'll cue up a few songs instead of just choosing one.

Alexis (Alexis), Monday, 11 August 2003 02:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't imagine stripping to "Just Can't Get Enough"! I mean anyone here who knows me will tell you that's a lie because I get naked for anything but that song is too fast, non?

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 11 August 2003 02:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't choose it! I sort of ignored the music for that, but I can't say I didn't shake my hips at first - you HAVE to.

Alexis (Alexis), Monday, 11 August 2003 03:38 (twenty-two years ago)

New York, New York - Frank Sinatra

Mark C (Mark C), Monday, 11 August 2003 08:06 (twenty-two years ago)

The music at the "burlesque show" was surprisingly ho-hum. As was the pig-tailed lass who jumped around for like 15 minutes to some half-hearted dance music.

Mary (Mary), Monday, 11 August 2003 08:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Fingertips - stevie wonder.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 11 August 2003 08:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, the music was mainly terrible, who strips to "Smells Like Teen Spirit"? That being said, the usage of "Lucretia My Reflection" freaked me out. I think that burlesque show was way too ironic but otoh I don't think most of our crew was paying it much attention.

If I could convince someone to go on stage and perform a striptease to "Up On Cripple Creek" I would die a very happy person.

gabbneb (gabbneb), Thursday, 4 December 2003 18:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I think at least once in everyone's life, one should perform an elaborate stiptease to the tune of "Symphony No.6 ('Pastoral'), Op.68 by Ludwig van Beethoven, and frolic like the centaurs in Disney's "Fantasia" in the process.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 4 December 2003 18:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Failing that, one should do an interpretive dance absolutely stark bonkers naked to the tune of Modest Mossorgsky's menacing "A Night On Bald Mountain".

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 4 December 2003 18:50 (twenty-two years ago)

you know that song on the twin peaks movie (some sort of indutrial goth type song that this band are playing). that one.

What Christmas songs would make good strip songs?

Allyzay, Thursday, 4 December 2003 18:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Elvis' version of White Christmas...the one where he breaks it down in the middle "ah hi hey hi hey dreammmmin"

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Thursday, 4 December 2003 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

What Christmas songs would make good strip songs?

Surely something from "The Nutcracker Suite".

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Thursday, 4 December 2003 18:56 (twenty-two years ago)

(i meant quotation marks)

gabbneb (gabbneb), Thursday, 4 December 2003 18:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Wonderful Christmas Time -- but it would have to be the Wings version, not the Hilary Duff version (unless you were stripping for charltonlido).

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 4 December 2003 18:57 (twenty-two years ago)

anything by Sinatra...he gets mad ass.

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Thursday, 4 December 2003 18:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:00 (twenty-two years ago)

hopefully this stripping to Christmas music will involve wearing a santa hat?

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:00 (twenty-two years ago)

(gigantic xpost so now I'm mad that someone else mentioned a classical piece but at least I'm the first to mention an opera aria)

Tricky - "Overcome"
Siouxsie & the Banshees - "Peepshow"
New Order - "Rock The Shack"
The Prodigy - "Weather Experience"
Renegade Soundwave - "Pocket Porn"
Stray Cats - "Stray Cat Strut"
Maria Callas - "O mio babbino caro"
Enigma - "The Principles Of Lust"
TLC - "Quickie"
Xtina - "Dirrty"
Madonna - "Erotica"
Missy Elliott - "Pussycat"

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:02 (twenty-two years ago)

If I were doing some Christmas stripping I would wear elf clothes rather than Santa clothes.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:02 (twenty-two years ago)

http://www.fredericks.com/images/9/92118_60_itm_a_3700.jpg

Obviously I'd need to strip to Christmas music? Or is that just overkill?

Allyzay, Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:04 (twenty-two years ago)

HAHAHA that got all fucked up but ou get the idea, they won't let me just link to the damn full outfit. Bastards.

Allyzay, Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:05 (twenty-two years ago)

i think dan speaks from experience with his opera arias...

and that outfit works!

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:06 (twenty-two years ago)

You should strip to "Good King Wenceslas" or "I Wonder As I Wander".

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally, are you Vishnu in hot elf disguise?

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Also, Nanetta's aria from the third act of "Falstaff"! And "Vedrai carino" from "Don Giovanni"!!!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Stripping to Christmas music seems very un-hot. That said, at this dry point in my life, if Phyllis Diller stripped to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, I'd get an erection. So ignore me.

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I need a trenchcoat so I can wear that outfit underneath it with thigh highs and black knee high boots and no one would be the wiser! I just can't think of a sexy Christmas song though.

Allyzay, Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:11 (twenty-two years ago)

i think if a reindeer did a striptease phyllis diller would get an erection.

Chris B. Sure (Chris V), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:11 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't think there is such a thing as a sexy christmas song, I suggested the Wings song just to be perverse (and to make fun of charlton lido).

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:14 (twenty-two years ago)

(Christmas in Hollis)

gabbneb (gabbneb), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:14 (twenty-two years ago)

'Santa Baby' of course

oops (Oops), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:15 (twenty-two years ago)

"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)"?

Fuck it, I wasn't going to actually strip anyway, that's too silly unless it's on top of a bar in a gay club.

Allyzay, Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sorry I ever looked at this thread, now I have this urge to dress up as a hot elf for christmas.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

But I totally need a reason to wear that outfit. I got it for 50% off! Do they have holiday-themed stripshows? Is there a Hannukah equivalent, btw?

xpost Nicole you should though I imagine that if I really do anything I just said I'd do on this thread my boyfriend would just laugh at me!!

Allyzay, Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sorry I ever looked at this thread, now I have this urge to dress up as a hot elf for christmas.

(that's a bad thing?)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, because it's totally ridiculous! But I have completely lost my mind in the past six months so this is becoming less of a problem.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I mean, after this thread I was considering dressing up as a sexy elf and stripping! Or at least buying ludicrous holiday underwear.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Then again, I'm insane.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Dan, did I mention yet that Frederick's of Hollywood sells g-strings for men that feature REINDEER PUPPETS ON THE FRONT? Like you stick yr you-know-what into the puppet and then the reindeer, ahem, moves. Just FYI.

Allyzay, Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:30 (twenty-two years ago)

That sounds very Dan Perry.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:38 (twenty-two years ago)

If you looked up "Dan Perry" in a dictionary, it'd be a photo of Hootie wearing that thing.

They make non-holiday ones involving elephants. I will leave to yr imagination where the bits and pieces go.

I am now totally obsessed with my whimsical idea to wear that outfit outside of my house. It's too cold!

Allyzay, Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:39 (twenty-two years ago)

I have been OBSESSED with the idea of getting one of those g-strings since Saturday, actually.

(haha yeah, like Saturday was the first time it ever occurred to me to dress up like a manslut)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:42 (twenty-two years ago)

By coincidence I bought my vishnu-slut-elf outfit on Saturday. What was it about Saturday?

Allyzay, Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:44 (twenty-two years ago)

We were out doing some Xmas shopping and, while looking for gifts for my family in Filene's, we wandered into the men's intimate apparel section. They were displaying some of the world's most ridiculous thongs/paint-on man-panties/gold lamé boxers. I had to physically restrain myself from buying all of them.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I seriously had to imagine the uncomfortable situation of rolling out of bed late for work and opening up my underwear drawer to see nothing but a comedy thing lying there shouting "HAHA WHERE'S YOUR WHIMSY NOW, FUCKER????" before I could walk away.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:57 (twenty-two years ago)

I got my first lap dance to the Afghan Wigs cover of "Creep".

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Thursday, 4 December 2003 19:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I never manage to physically restrain myself from the ridiculous, hence my sexy pro-wrestler space princess outfit and my white go-go boots and that Santa Claus outfit. I admire your restraint.

Allyzay Dallas Multi-Pass (allyzay), Thursday, 10 February 2005 04:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Allyzay Dallas Multi-Pass (allyzay), Thursday, 10 February 2005 04:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm thinking that Low's new song "Monkey" would be a super HOTT strip song. The song itself is arousing. If anybody is stripping tonight, please do it to this and report your findings back here. In a similar vein I'm thinking Clinic's "Walking with Thee" would work too - something about the overdriven creepy organ sound - but maybe it's a bit goth...

Also Ally, did I mention I got my first lap dance to the Afghan Wigs cover of "Creep"? (I read that as me too when I skimmed this!).

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 10 February 2005 05:40 (twenty-one years ago)

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 10 February 2005 05:58 (twenty-one years ago)

"Ace of Spades"?

Allyzay Dallas Multi-Pass (allyzay), Thursday, 10 February 2005 06:03 (twenty-one years ago)

OK my serious answer is "Party Vision" by Ural 13 Diktators.

Though I might pay good money to see someone strip to "Ace of Spades." By good money I mean the $5 cover at the Slipper Room.

Allyzay Dallas Multi-Pass (allyzay), Thursday, 10 February 2005 06:11 (twenty-one years ago)

The Thin White Duke remix of Mirwais's cover of "Miss You" would be fantastic.

firstworldman (firstworldman), Thursday, 10 February 2005 06:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Sadly, I don't have an mp3 of party vision, so it will have to be ace of spades. I shall return directly to let you know how it works out, though I admit it would probably be better if I wasn't home alone.

However...

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 10 February 2005 06:13 (twenty-one years ago)

hey luna, email me yr address again and I'll send you a mix CD, for stripping.

Allyzay Dallas Multi-Pass (allyzay), Thursday, 10 February 2005 06:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay, ace of spades was kind of a bust, then I tried orgasmatron, which was going well, but cut off after 3 minutes, and random shuffle went to prince erotic city, and that was the best of the three, but it was a dance mix and something like 7 minutes long and now I'm hot.

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 10 February 2005 06:31 (twenty-one years ago)

right now i'd say anything by Relaxed Muscle. there are the distorted, fuzzed-out electro basslines. but i think in general the sound of Jarvis' voice makes women's clothes go away.

lolita corpus (lolitacorpus), Thursday, 10 February 2005 07:28 (twenty-one years ago)

SRV 'things that I used to do' is mildly acceptable, talking heads 'and she was' doesn't really do it, and lovage 'stroker ace' is still perfect.

winamp has weird random play.

I'd say that "Rollin" by Limp Bizkit is probably the greatest strip club song of all time but you'd all just laugh at me.

Instead, I'll ask - what is that "classic" strip song, the one they play in old cartoons, with the big sleazy brass section and the part where the drums go "WHACK a domp, WHACK a domp"? You know what I mean? Does that song even have a name?

ikt makes me think of that scene in Flashdance where Jennifer Beals does that fucked up "interpretive" striptease in front of the television set on stage, with like kabuki makeup on. WTF was that even about?!?!

Allyzay Dallas Multi-Pass (allyzay), Friday, 11 February 2005 01:27 (twenty-one years ago)

a friend says someone always requested "Superfreak" at the club where she worked, without fail. One of the strangest things I've seen is Sandra Oh stripping to "Lips like Sugar" in a movie. (Dancing at the Blue Igauna?)

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Friday, 11 February 2005 01:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I've re-enacted that scene from Flashdance...one of the weirdest/funniest scenes in film history.

My picks...
"Sexy Dancer"- Prince
"Lady Cab Driver"- Prince
"Harlot"-FdH
"Call Me"- Blondie
"Cherry Bomb"-The Runaways

one year passes...
Hey.
If anyone knows, I heard this song once and I can't get it out of my mind. I haven't the slightest clue what the title of the song is, but I LOVE it. I hardly hear it any more.
The last I ever heard of it was when I was watching NCIS, in the scene where a stripper had her throat cut (sory for the gruesomeness, can't remember the episode name). That song during the opening sequence is pure gold, and it bugs me that I can't find it.
If anyone knows of it, please, please, please! Post it or send me a message.
Thanks,
Chris
