Or not. In between writing the title (and getting the idea that I could all the donuts in the office while everybody else is out having a chummy lunch, the fuckers) I took a phone call that pissed me off.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Mmmm doughnuts, maybe I should walk to Krispy Kreme in Harrods tomorrow.

Ed (dali), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:18 (twenty-one years ago)

It's winter, you could use a few more pounds.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Heh, newfound bad mood just makes me want to eat MORE donuts! Heh.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:19 (twenty-one years ago)

just have sex with all the donuts and put them back.
watch your coworkers eat them, smiling on the inside.
it's killing 2 birds with one stone, really.

dyson (dyson), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I used to think that fresh hot original glazed from Krispy Kreme were better than sex. I would get a dozen of them and eat the whole box with a fork. I miss college.

TOMBOT, Friday, 19 December 2003 18:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Because Krispy Kreme is so new to the UK they give a free one to eat in the queue.

Ed (dali), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Though consider: I just ate a plateful of freshly baked cinnamon rolls

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Doughnuts make me puke like a motherfucker. So think about doughnut regurgitation and you are sure to lose your appetite, trust me.

Allyzay, Friday, 19 December 2003 18:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Cos you'll get fat and no one will want to touch your bum again. There.

C-Man (C-Man), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:24 (twenty-one years ago)

eeew, cinnamon rolls makes me think of something else now, thanx to ilx.
eeeeeeeewww.

PIGFUCKER XXXXXXXXXXXXX COCKFIRE #$^$%^&$@#$@$^%!@##$

There are no Krispy Kreme franchises in Washington DC. I hate my life it is a joyless wasteland.

TOMBOT, Friday, 19 December 2003 18:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm on #3

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Good lord, there's a Krispy Kreme in penn station, do you want me to pick you up some on the way to DC? I mean, honestly, "cockfire"?!

Allyzay, Friday, 19 December 2003 18:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Donuts are deep-fried angels.

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm on #3
ha ha, literally¿

dyson (dyson), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Is there a way to be figuratively on #3?

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:32 (twenty-one years ago)

huh?

anyway, up to 4 now. belly not feeling too good, but whatever. I like a good barf as much as anyone. must get more coffee though.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:32 (twenty-one years ago)

You are totally going to be sorry you did this.

Allyzay, Friday, 19 December 2003 18:33 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm just excited that he may actually be taking my advice.

are they timmies donuts, btw¿
if they are the chocolate glazed are hawt¡

dyson (dyson), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Barf back into the donut box, then leave a little post-in note saying "I swear I didn't touch them! --Huck xoxo."

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:34 (twenty-one years ago)

But wouldn't barfing up donuts make you NOT want to eat them for a very long time? That's un-fun.

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:34 (twenty-one years ago)

coffee will only take-up much needed donut space.

dyson (dyson), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Tom & Ally - there is also a 24-hour Krispy Kreme in Richmond. Now we know where the afterparty will be.

NA (Nick A.), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:35 (twenty-one years ago)

rbn's, ass'ted
mowf fuh
cakey wubmah
ooh

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:35 (twenty-one years ago)

DONUT BITCH WHAT HAVE YOU DONE????

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:37 (twenty-one years ago)

This is a science project, isn't it?

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:38 (twenty-one years ago)

it is--urrrrrrrrrp!--now.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:40 (twenty-one years ago)

My friend whose family is from Chicago always says "doe-nitz". This is crazy talk.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:45 (twenty-one years ago)

oooooo, room spinning. four more to go. must soldier on.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Doughnuts just remind me of church. Why do people like them?

Ally, is this some kind of universal Catholic thing? Is Krispy Kreme the fault of Sunday-donut-forbidding Protestant mommies or something?

Ann Sterzinger (Ann Sterzinger), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:54 (twenty-one years ago)

My pants have never felt so tight. I'm like Jim Morrison on the day after Thanksgiving!

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 18:56 (twenty-one years ago)

WHAT THE HELL IS POSSESSING YOU TO DO THIS????? I DO NOT ENJOY DOUGHNUTS THUS FEEL VAGUE ENVY PIERCED BY THOROUGHGOING DISGUST!!!!!!!

Not to mention confusion. I mean, the fuck-the-donuts-and-put-em-back suggestion sounded like a wonderful idea, why would you reject it?

Ann Sterzinger (Ann Sterzinger), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:06 (twenty-one years ago)

If you'd fucked the donuts, you could have taken a digital pic of yourself as you violated them and then forwarded to people as picture mail in a zany, madcap takeoff of those T-Mobile ads.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:07 (twenty-one years ago)

you're right. I'm only punishing myself.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:07 (twenty-one years ago)

well? did you do it?

luna (luna.c), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:08 (twenty-one years ago)

WTF is wrong with you people? Krispy Kreme donuts are SO GOOD!! They're not even really heavy, you can eat a whole box in one sitting and not even feel that sluggish!! I used to do it all the time when there was one near me! You are all SPACE ALIENS FROM HELL and I claim my $5.

Also the coffee at Krispy Kreme is excellent. Why oh why did I move to a Dunkin part of the country? No Krispy Kreme, no Sonic Drive-Thru, and no In-N-Out Burger. Washington DC can go fuck itself, god.

TOMBOT, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I got to ten. The fuckers are back from lunch. And I'm feeling not so hot.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:12 (twenty-one years ago)

How in the FUCK are they not heavy? Doughnuts make me PUKE MY FACE OFF. I'm sorry that this is a BIG HUGE ANOMOLY MAKING ME A FREAK. Jesus christ, guess who is NOT getting fucking Krispy Kremes NOW.

Ugh even thinking about ten doughnuts makes me want to throw up. Seriously, I salute you, Horace. I miss doughnuts sometimes.

Allyzay, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I applaud your efforts nevertheless. I can't get past about 4 before the sugar fairy wallops me in the head with 'ooooh I've just eaten enough sugar to power a smalltowninNewHampshireIthinkI'llgorunamileandthendosomejumpingjackshey,Ineedazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz', so I'm duly impressed.

luna (luna.c), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:15 (twenty-one years ago)

There's a Krispy Kreme at Union Station, Tom. Used to go there when I worked across the Street from where you do now.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Dude, you colon is seriously going to fall out.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:17 (twenty-one years ago)

And here I thought I was in for just another dull weekend at home!

When I was in high school, we (the gang) used to sometimes go buy big bags of day olds and have races.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Why oh why did I move to a Dunkin part of the country? No Krispy Kreme, no Sonic Drive-Thru, and no In-N-Out Burger. Washington DC can go fuck itself, god.

Krispy Kreme is coming to Dupont Circle, and they're already on Rt. 1 just down from Alexandria. And we don't need no steenkin' In-N-Out Burger; check out Five Guys.

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:23 (twenty-one years ago)

In Union station? I had somehow not noticed it before, that's strange. Anyway I don't work there YET, they have to finish staring at my paperwork and slowly walking hard copies back and forth across the hall or whatever they do that takes so damn long to figure out that I am cleared to know BIG FANCY SECRETS.

The Krispy Kreme website acknowledged no such franchise in the train station though, that's odd and disappointing. However the result is that I have given the word "COCKFIRE" to this world and that is kind of awesome.

TOMBOT, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Everyone needs In 'n Out. Everyone.

Also, I just said cockfire, and it was well-received. Thank you, Tom.

luna (luna.c), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:27 (twenty-one years ago)

My friend whose family is from Chicago always says "doe-nitz". This is crazy talk.

It's just a regional thing. When my Chicago relatives say "pop," it always takes me a second or so to member that they mean soda. I suppose that's a positive thing, that in spite of Clear Channel and McDonalds and other national homogenizing forces, there are still some regional cultures out there.

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

It's kind of second in my heart to "pocky cock" to be honest but "cockfire" is pretty good.

Allyzay, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:30 (twenty-one years ago)

When I was in high school, we (the gang) used to sometimes go buy big bags of day olds and have races.

not only is that very gross, huck - it is also considerably sad.

dyson (dyson), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I've heard much grosser. Spinktor to thread immediately.

Allyzay, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

How in the FUCK are they not heavy?

KKs may be caloric as hell, but they are featherly light in the mouth. Maybe when the Dupont Circle KK opens I'll see how many I can eat before I bug out from the sugar overdose.

Tom: Also check the Giant grocery stores. The one near me on Wisconsin Ave. has started carrying Krispy Kremes.

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:34 (twenty-one years ago)

hmmm, teenage boys engaging in very gross and considerably sad behaviour...
I have some friends who played Junior Hockey who, um, take the cake in that category.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:36 (twenty-one years ago)

The only things I like from the grocery store selections are the crullers really. I need the real thing, hot light, fresh original glazed, a cup of coffee and a fork and a couple napkins, OMG.

I'm actually a little worried that it's been so long and I've kind of lost a lot of my sweet tooth - what if I do this and it's not as enjoyable as a I remember? I suppose nothing lasts forever.

KK donuts are really not that heavy at all. Anyway YES, RICHMOND.

TOMBOT, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:39 (twenty-one years ago)

two left mmmmm

(nickalicious), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey tom, there's going to be a new Krispy Kreme in Dupont. Not sure when it's scheduled to open, but it's going in that space that used to be a music store near Kramer's.

I'm meanwhile reveling in the fact that a KK just opened minutes from my office in Rockville. Ummmmmmmmm. . . donuts.

quincie, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:42 (twenty-one years ago)

The process of cooking used to make doughnuts does not compute with my body and never has. "Featherly light" is not the phrase I would use to describe the way doughnuts treat me. It's not even a calorie thing at all because you give me a pint of ice cream and I will give you back an empty carton in about 5 minutes flat.

We even tried to make our own doughnuts when I was younger, my parents were like "I'm sure it's some chemical they use for cooking" (!!! fucking hippies) and nope, puke-o-rama.

The moral of this story is that my body hates me, particularly since the ice cream thing isn't entirely true because I'm starting to notice an increased tendency towards lactose intolerance. Someday soon, all I will be able to consume is hot sauce.

XPOST sigh I have EATEN KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUTS BEFORE, PEOPLE THEY ARE NO KINDER OR LESS HEAVY FOR ME PERSONALLY THAN ANY OTHER TYPE OF DOUGHNUT

I'm sorry I'm getting mad but this is an issue that has brought me a lot of upset over the past, oh, 23 and a half years of my life!!!!!!!!! I really like doughnuts! I cannot eat doughnuts! It is like Romeo and Juliet ok???

Allyzay, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Duh, j.lu already pointed out the Dupont thing upthread.

*slinks off*

quince, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:44 (twenty-one years ago)

some minor G.I. issues, but otherwise my binge seems to be consequence-free!

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:45 (twenty-one years ago)

We should start a new thread about things you love to eat/drink but that are horribly terribly bad for you and end in disaster.

TOMBOT, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:47 (twenty-one years ago)

cashews

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Duck.

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I have some friends who played Junior Hockey who, um, take the cake in that category.

junior hockey stories are alway a bizarre blend of funny + scarry.

or

i bet they "took the cake"¡

dyson (dyson), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:52 (twenty-one years ago)

the average american male dies with 60 lbs of waste in his colon,
so have an apple fritter!

Vacillating temp (Vacillating temp), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Sour cream & chives creullers. Mmmmm.

andy, Friday, 19 December 2003 19:58 (twenty-one years ago)

When we ate dinner in Medicine Hat there was a Junior Hockey team there from I think Edmonton and I'm just going to stop posting right now.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 19 December 2003 19:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Edmonton!?!

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, it's this town in Alberta near the rockies, they have a big mall, it's nice.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:14 (twenty-one years ago)

hmmm, a mall you say?

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, it's huge, and they have some famous old boat, or a replica or something, it's weird, here's a pic:

http://www.theminorthirds.com/pix-santa-maria-in-edm.jpg

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I got wicked drunk in the WEM in '97 all alone and depressed. On a $12 JUG of wine.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Krispey Kreme donuts are mostly air it seems. You can like stick 3 in your mouth at once.

Carey (Carey), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:20 (twenty-one years ago)

The KK's are near the book store down by the entrance to the MARC trains. Anyway, having experienced Carlson's Donuts on West Street in Annapolis, KK's show me nothing.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Krispy Kremes are unholy and not all that tasty. But none of the chain donut shops are all that good. People who come to Portland and request it will be taken to Tulip, the best donut shop in town.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:22 (twenty-one years ago)

"tulip" isn't really a donut-y name.

dyson (dyson), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I think I seriously should start a chain called Donut Bitch. The employees will all be surly dominatrix types.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:24 (twenty-one years ago)

It could be like a goth Hooters that serves donuts instead of burgers.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:25 (twenty-one years ago)

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, it's Tulip Bakery. But I love the fact that it doesn't have a "donuty" name.

Ally, come to Portland and go to Voodoo Donuts and get the donut with the Pepto-Bismol topping and the crushed Tums on it, maybe it'll work for you.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, then punch the person who came up with that donut-from-Hell in the nuts.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Inexplicably, I'm in the mood for a donut.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:31 (twenty-one years ago)

"The magic is in the hole"!!!!! DAMN STRAIGHT

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Now I am imagining a bunch of girls in too much makeup wearing black plastic outfits and walking around with donuts impaled on strap-on dildos in between tables with Vegas-drunk looking scruffy college boys and yuppie slime who are looking really happy to be there while the girls look all super-glum.

TOMBOT, Friday, 19 December 2003 20:33 (twenty-one years ago)

BEST DONUT SHOP EVAH, TOMBOT

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:33 (twenty-one years ago)

They also have apple fritters that are like 2 pounds, it's madness there.

Tom, while that is a beautiful vision, Voodoo is nothing like that -- it's a hole in the wall next to a medium-sized rock club run by Portland-style not-quite-hipsters.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 19 December 2003 20:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I would like to work at that doughnut store.

Allyzay, Friday, 19 December 2003 20:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I NEED A DONUT.

Kingpin Donuts on Durant, @d@m!

There's a KK right by my favorite comic book shoppe, yet I never patronise the joint.

Leee Marvin (Leee), Saturday, 20 December 2003 00:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Huh?

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 20 December 2003 01:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Ignore all the drooling over KK and if you want a bang up donut, go to Kingpin on Durant b/w Telegraph and College.

Leee Marvin (Leee), Saturday, 20 December 2003 04:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Also if I had business acumen I would absolutely steal the donutworship store idea.

Leee Marvin (Leee), Saturday, 20 December 2003 04:11 (twenty-one years ago)

This looks to me like an infinity donut. Maybe that is just my wish.
http://www.dreamchimney.com/donuts/nuts/0.gif

That pic is from Bust-a-nut donuts, which seems to be a virtual donut place. They have a heart-shaped "love nut" too.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Saturday, 20 December 2003 04:53 (twenty-one years ago)

God, I could so be a gothy donut bitch.

Kim (Kim), Saturday, 20 December 2003 17:49 (twenty-one years ago)

ugh, i once participated in something known as the donut challenge in which was supposed to consume a dozen in half an hour. seemed easy at the time, i think by donut 8 was feeling queasy and hit the wall at 10 with the thought of eating another just making me feel sick.

this thread is bringing back horrible memories.

H (Heruy), Sunday, 21 December 2003 10:00 (twenty-one years ago)

I ate a box of Freihofer's chocolate frosted mini donuts yesterday. Ooops.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Sunday, 21 December 2003 16:45 (twenty-one years ago)

My sister used to have an amazing metabolism when were teenagers. She could eat a whole box of donuts, no problem. She always beat me when we had eating contests, which annoyed me because I was the chubby one (comparatively).

oh, how I love all you sick, sick people. best. forum. ever.

I ate 7 KKs once in like, 10 minutes. I really didn't want anymore after that. They do have a very cotton candy like texture that makes them easily consumed in vast quantities though.

Alan Conceicao, Sunday, 21 December 2003 23:29 (twenty-one years ago)

last spring i stayed with my donut buddy for a couple days before we went to a wedding. we bought two dozen krispy kremes on the first night. and, aside from wedding food, that's all we ate for two days! yum.

colette (a2lette), Monday, 22 December 2003 00:14 (twenty-one years ago)

There are 3 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts at my work this morning. Tomorrow is my last day working here. What should I do?

NA (Nick A.), Monday, 22 December 2003 13:49 (twenty-one years ago)

EAT THEM

TOMBOT, Monday, 22 December 2003 14:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Krispy Kremes just melt in your mouth. Hot, sticky, sweet Kripsy Kremes. Yeah, at the one in Richmond you can watch them making them and then they pick them right up off the tray as they come out of the oven and stick them in your box. That's right - your BOX! Sexy.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 22 December 2003 15:16 (twenty-one years ago)

(ha Sarah)

NA--Three dozen? Is there any way that you can distract everyone and sneak them out? While, leaving, say, 5 at your desk for the day? Because you'll be leaving soon enough, and what's stealing a few dozen donuts? It's much better than post-its.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I am fat. I think I'll have pizza for lunch.

NA (Nick A.), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I want doughnuts!

Aja (aja), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:16 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm debating having lunch or smoking a cigarette.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:16 (twenty-one years ago)

My friend whose family is from Chicago always says "doe-nitz". This is crazy talk.

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I think my brain is broken from drinking too much on Saturday.

NA (Nick A.), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I've got two hands, I could do both!

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I need to eat.

Aja (aja), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:22 (twenty-one years ago)

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:22 (twenty-one years ago)

haha

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I got neither.
I could still go buy some cigarettes, but I got to the cafeteria and they were like, just swimming in the reeds.
And I'd like to know, once and for all, what the hell is so special about paying $2.50 for a grilled cheese sandwich?

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Get a drink.

Aja (aja), Monday, 22 December 2003 17:39 (twenty-one years ago)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 22 December 2003 18:21 (twenty-one years ago)

damnit, I'm going to have to go to Harrods now.

Ed (dali), Monday, 22 December 2003 18:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I like rice too. It's pretty good, even plain. However I don't like to eat a lot of it cos it is so filling. Like you know how you get the sushi and there's all that rice in it? I feel like they're screwing me out of fish!! You know???

Allyzay, Monday, 22 December 2003 18:23 (twenty-one years ago)

BTW I went to Union Station this weekend and explored it thoroughly. The Krispy Kreme is no longer. That one in Dupont Circle better not be a pipe dream.

TOMBOT, Monday, 22 December 2003 18:25 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't like susi and I like a lot of rice.

Aja (aja), Monday, 22 December 2003 18:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Allyzay, Monday, 22 December 2003 18:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, so?!

Aja (aja), Monday, 22 December 2003 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

The thread that broke ilx (probably).

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Monday, 22 December 2003 22:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Everyone in California eats sushi.

Allyzay, Monday, 22 December 2003 22:26 (twenty-one years ago)

That one in Dupont Circle better not be a pipe dream.

ILX has f*cked up my head so badly that this statement caused me to imagine a circular burgerpipe with glazed donuts for a bun...

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Monday, 22 December 2003 22:27 (twenty-one years ago)

This is why you get shot full of miniature Eiffel Tower replicas.

TOMBOT, Monday, 22 December 2003 22:31 (twenty-one years ago)

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 22 December 2003 22:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Allyzay, Monday, 22 December 2003 22:37 (twenty-one years ago)

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 22 December 2003 22:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Monday, 22 December 2003 22:38 (twenty-one years ago)

horraco mannington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 22 December 2003 22:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 05:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I wonder if Dave Grohl likes sushi?!

He said he likes meat so you be the judge. I do know that the other guitar player for the Foo Fighters, Chris Sifflett, likes sushi. And yes, he is from California.

Aja (aja), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 22:24 (twenty-one years ago)

i had no doubt that dave grohl liked to eat fish ... he's a rockstar, after all!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 22:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Really?

Allyzay, Tuesday, 23 December 2003 22:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 22:27 (twenty-one years ago)

and i note that it only took four posts before this thread turned dirty. which is par for the course in this place.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 22:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I never said he likes to eat fish. I said he likes to eat meat, mostly beef.

Aja (aja), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 22:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Hot beef??

Allyzay, Tuesday, 23 December 2003 22:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 23 December 2003 22:36 (twenty-one years ago)

You can read this and see what you can find out about her.

He is funny, but he isn't a professinal clown.

Aja (aja), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Someone should tell him that being funny without being a licensed, professional clown is going to get him in trouble with the clown union.

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Who cares about the clown union?!

Aja (aja), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:41 (twenty-one years ago)

'ben kinsley; clown union'
'ohh, Coco'

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, the Clown Union has close ties with the Moped Repairmen Union, so if Dave pisses off the clowns, he's not going to be able to get anyone to fix his moped when it breaks down.

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:47 (twenty-one years ago)

He rented the moped. He doesn't have it anymore.

Aja (aja), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:48 (twenty-one years ago)

he was sad to have to return it. he just sat around and moped for awhile.

I apologize on behalf of this post (Oops), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:49 (twenty-one years ago)

No. They were on tour. He had plenty to do.

Aja (aja), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Aja, you're obviously not up on the latest Dave news. He bought a moped yesterday. It's made of gumdrops and spun sugar and it runs on rattlesnake eggs. Also it can fly through the 5th Dimension.

NA (Nick A.), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:52 (twenty-one years ago)

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's at home. (I don't know of anything else)

Aja (aja), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Really?

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:53 (twenty-one years ago)

What is that?

Aja (aja), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:54 (twenty-one years ago)

What is what?

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:55 (twenty-one years ago)

The picture.

Aja (aja), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh that.

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Who's on first?

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Well what is the picture of?

Aja (aja), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:58 (twenty-one years ago)

The 5th Dimension.
If you right click on a picture and look at its Properties, it oftentimes gives you a clue as to the nature of it.

oops (Oops), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 02:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, ok.

Aja (aja), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 03:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Ed your huge box of Krispy Kremes made my night yesterday. But they are neither crispy nor creamy, and their very name alone made me want to hate them and launch off into a huge 'Americans are stupid and tasteless rant' but of course they are SO NICE, far more so than I expected.

I am TOTALLY UP for opening the second franchise in London. They need to be in every major train station in the country, instead of Knickerbox. Like, who the fuck buys vaguely kinky underwear during the rush hour anyway?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 03:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Krispy Kremes are great.

Aja (aja), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 03:05 (twenty-one years ago)

No, they kind of suck.

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 03:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Whatever!

Aja (aja), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 03:10 (twenty-one years ago)

No way, eh. Take off you hoser.

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 24 December 2003 03:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Eisbär (llamasfur), Monday, 29 December 2003 23:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Can I have a doughnut?

Aja (aja), Monday, 29 December 2003 23:25 (twenty-one years ago)

not before you get some coldplay

Eisbär (llamasfur), Monday, 29 December 2003 23:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't want any coldplay.

Aja (aja), Monday, 29 December 2003 23:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Eisbär (llamasfur), Monday, 29 December 2003 23:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 18:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 18:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Lucky!!!

Aja (aja), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 18:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Random Co-worker: "Uh, hey Huck. Say, were these cinnamon buns iced when we left?"

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 18:31 (twenty-one years ago)

do you have a stick at your office? see if you can set up a net and get some distance shots in. Leave the buns outside to freeze, first, tho. Take pictures.

Kingfishee (Kingfish), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 18:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Chris 'Knuckle Deep' V. (Chris V), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 18:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Aja (aja), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 18:53 (twenty-one years ago)

This is a thread about gluttony, dammit!

Huckleberry Mann (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 19:12 (twenty-one years ago)

aja?

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 19:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Aja (aja), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 19:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 19:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Eisbär (llamasfur), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 19:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Aja (aja), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 19:50 (twenty-one years ago)

one month passes...
now there's a bunch of cookies out.
nobody's eating them. everybody's here though, so I can't just grab them all like I did the donuts.
but I had one, and I want another. what's the etiquette here?

My Huckleberry Friend (Horace Mann), Monday, 16 February 2004 20:57 (twenty-one years ago)

depending the cookie-to-person ratio, you could probably get away with it

Kingfish Beatbox (Kingfish), Monday, 16 February 2004 21:12 (twenty-one years ago)

there are about a dozen cookies left, and no one's touched them for 2 hours.
I'm about to leave for the day. I'm gonna grab 'em! Cookies and cable for me tonight!!!

My Huckleberry Friend (Horace Mann), Monday, 16 February 2004 21:13 (twenty-one years ago)

glide past and scoop up a handful nonchalantly. Noone will notice if you keep looking straight ahead as though you're on your way to doing something else.

ipsofacto (ipsofacto), Monday, 16 February 2004 21:13 (twenty-one years ago)

U&K: stick the handful of cookies in your underwear.

teeny (teeny), Monday, 16 February 2004 21:16 (twenty-one years ago)

two months pass...
Low-carb impact affecting Krispy Kreme

Eisbär (llamasfur), Sunday, 9 May 2004 18:16 (twenty-one years ago)

j.lu (j.lu), Tuesday, 24 August 2004 16:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Krispy Kreme is in a lot of trouble, eh?

Land Ho (dymaxia), Thursday, 11 August 2005 15:19 (twenty years ago)

I'm really disappointed that Ally and I have yet to dress up in latex and have donuts.
