so, is it unanswerable/unaskable? let's hurt people. or tell em you love em.

take that, pinefox, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

oh, don't think i'm goin' first.

jess, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

My fave posters in no order : Mark S, Pinefox, Omar, Billy Dods, Norman, Ned, Tom, Dave Q, Tim H, Sundar, Robin, Tom.

Dr. C, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I wuv Mark S.

RickyT, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

mark s ruined my life

mark s, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

okay, and it's violating the rules or the geneva convention or something to post your favorites and not at least one person who you don't like. (so far, mark is the only one who has followed the rules.)

jess, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I can't answer this thread because a moderator should be above such petty preferences. I do have a handful of leasts and a good few handfuls of mosts though. I will just say that I like the fact that Dr C wuvs me so much he listed me TWICE though.

Tom, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

he WUVS you. he wants to have a thousand of your BABIES.

jess, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i'm sorry. sleep deprivation has obviously eaten away at my mind.

jess, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Jess is my least favourite ILE poster ever. Also a ho.

Tom, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Naturally I liked Stevie T. But he has gone. Oh, Stephen, Stephen / You have gone / and we don't know where / or why / ohhh-ohhh [etc]

I still think the question has some unanswerability about it (cf. answers so far).

A thing about Tom E: he combines quality with quantity. Some of my favourite posters post rarely (but well), some people post a lot (and I don't find them so interesting) - but Tom E posts a LOT, but is almost always interesting too. So he wins something for that rare combination.

the pinefox, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

obviously it would be grossly inconsiderate to list myself as my favourite poster, but I do think the dunedin contingent is doing well. throw us a friggen bone here

Menelaus Darcy, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

dunedin = the hackney of the southern seas
i am rainy's stalker, constrained only by oceans and extreme laziness

mark s, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i knew i would end up SOMEONES least favorite. i just...didn't..::choke::...think it would be you, tom. ::sobs like a jane austen character alone on the moors. or something.::

jess, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The Dunedin crowd is awesome if only for almost always proving me with something mad to read in the mornings. They post while we sleep and hopefully we do the same for them.

Tom, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dunedin = ??

the pinefox, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dunedin is a place in New Zealand which has the highest posters-per- capita ratio of anywhere on Earth. Maryann, Duane, Rainy, Lady Di, Menelaus Darcy, and several others who I've forgotten because they don't have names as memorable as "Menelaus Darcy". How big is Dunedin actually?

Tom, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

mark s, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Always feel a touch uncomfortable with these faves/non-faves lists. Everyone not mentioned feels left-out/ignored. Nonetheless Dave Q gets most on my tits (music-wise), but I like the fact he makes me think/re-think. Ronan's 'Dutch cunts' comment annoyed me, but I've grown to like his 'I'm still 18 + your not' style. I miss Kate whose honesty + openess could be reckless but she could really write and was excellent fun. Robin Carmody's thoughtful posts always intrigue me, as do fellow Yorkshire man Gareths. Ed's photo left me gobsmacked, and I was surprised no one commented how beautiful madchun is. Fellow Weimar-fan Anthony is adorable, Omar is lost soul brother, Melissa W's refusal to like 'Vespertine' only troubles me because I have great respect for her taste, Tom asks by far the best questions, suzy is well cool + everyones favourite mark s. well deserves his popularity for his total lack of aloofness for one so gifted with words.

Actually there are not that many here I don't like

stevo, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like: Katie G, Ricky T, Chris/Cabbage, Tom, NY Ally, DG (well... he's an Ilford boy!) Jess, Menelaus Darcy, Rainy, all the ILE LINYC cru. Sarah Starry.

I tell the worst jokes on ILE, so I'll put myself down as worst poster. Just to save any fights.

Will McKenzie, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Melissa W's refusal to like 'Vespertine' only troubles me because I have great respect for her taste

Reminds me of how troubled I get when someone I think has good taste doesn't like Radiohead.

Melissa W, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

>>> I was surprised no one commented how beautiful madchun is.

Only Ally C is allowed to do that.

the pinefox, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like Cabbage and Madchen best. But then I would. None of you know who I am, do you?

Markx, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I do.

RickyT, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

But do you wuv me, Richard?

Markx, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Stevo, you old smoothie. You are my second favourite, after Ally C.

Madchen, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I only wuv you when you play Ray Of Light.

RickyT, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i wuv you all cos you make me larff!

katie, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

>>> Stevo, you old smoothie. You are my second favourite, after Ally C.

Obviously I was wrong.

the pinefox, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I don't wuv you when you play Ray of Light... unless everyone keeps dancing of course. I actually wuv everyone - don't have anyone I dislike. The LINYC posse rock the proverbial house. All of them!

Dry Eyes, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Other really good AND prolific poster = Nicky D.

the pinefox, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I do, Tom, I do.

Dr. C, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

babies...i knew it!

jess, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm in love with Nude Spock.

toraneko, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm in love with Nude Spock.

I was kind of hoping someone hated me.

toraneko, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

PF, do you think there's any way you could work your Betty Blue joke into this thread? Stevie T been and gone? I feel like an outcast at life's Stevie T convention. My favourite is whoever recommended beard trimmers. I haven't got one yet, but I've been ogling them in shop windows. My other favourite is Starry Amazingness.

Peter Miller, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Which joke is that?

I know what you mean - you are always following in his flaming footsteps.

the pinefox, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oi, Will - I tell the worst jokes on ILE - everyone knows that. My favourite poster is either Anthony - for spelling hilarity - or RickyT for tube based info.

Anyone who knows me will know who my least favourite poster is....

Pete, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Wheeler and Mike "Tim Curry" Hanley are both my favorite and least favorite posters, all at once, the tarts. Actually they're just my favorite.

I'm not going to list my least favorite but let's say he gets my fucking goat just by existing and if the anthrax got him I wouldn't be sad for a second. That's how strongly I feel about it. Everyone else I like though, even Ethan.

Ally, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Pete said: 'Oi, Will - I tell the worst jokes on ILE'

I say: 'check out the 'nice guys finish last' thread. I warn you, it isn't pretty...'

Will McKenzie, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The only person I truly hate is pretty obscure and has probably only posted about 10 times, so I won't mention him.

As far as favorites...I know I'd leave somebody out so I won't bother listing them.

Talk about yr cop-out posts, eh?

Nicole, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like Stevo (of course), Dr C. Weller, Nathalie natuurlijk, Ethan, Suzy, Gareth, DJ Martian, Nitsuh (if he keeps his post within reasonable length ;), the Polish bastard son of Zappa and by law Mr Sinker. Ah well and countless others really.

I have no intense dislikes. After awhile one gets used to everyone's style, likes and dislikes.

Omar, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

My favourite IL* posters would be either Nitsuh or Pinefox. They always seem to know a lot more than they're letting on.

I don't have a least favourite IL* poster. I find it irritating when people post with the sole purpose of showing how much cleverer/better connected/more cutting edge they are than other people. No names, no pack drill.

Andrew Williams, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's OK Pinefox, anyone can say she's beautiful. It's undeniable fact. I really do make myself sick sometimes.

Ally C, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

So I've heard. But I think you can get help, now that you're owning up to the problem. That's the crucial first stage, really.

the pinefox, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I love you all.

DG, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i hate yas all

Geoff, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Damn it, Omar! My cover's blown. How did you know I was wearing a Peacock suit and white socks. I'm off to polish my scooter now. (Sings) "Uh-huh, Oh Yeh..."

Dr. C, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like DG because he likes the Strokes.

bnw, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

damnit! why dont you people hate me more?!

jess, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Right now, I'm all about the brave poster who coined the term "fuckknuckle". Of course, I'm polyamorous - gimme some sugar!

David Raposa, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Awww, Jess is so cute when he's angry.

RickyT, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

awww shucks. ::kicks dirt::

jess, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well Dr.C I spotted you in the crowd on that inlay picture of the new acoustic live Weller cd, you were playing air-guitar, dude...erm...yeah, I had to get it my self 9 out of 10 in NME, must be good right? :)

Omar, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i am rainy's stalker

You bastard! I challenge you.

Fave posters -- I loves ya all except for the ones I don't. Ha. Actually with the departure of D**mp****l my focus for ire has diffused...

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I love reading Nitsuh's writing. I would read a book if he wrote one. New York Ally is very amusing. I won't say who's my least favorite; it's just not nice.

Sean, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Don't worry James, I like me.

I like everyone!...

james, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

thank god for that last sentence in ally's post.

ethan, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Don't I get any respect for providing lots of questions?

james, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You would've had to have killed yourself otherwise, Ethan.

Ally, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Nitsuh (if he keeps his post within reasonable length)

Look, when are you people going to understand that logorrhea is a disease??? Plus, I wouldn't have to be so prolix if you guys would just quit talking about things I liked thinking about.

Nitsuh, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I cant be arsed to think of a nice sit on the fence type answer but I'm still going to sit on the fence. Will that do?

Btw, Stevo that comment I made was in hindsight pretty rash. I apologise but I guess I deserve what I get.

Ronan, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

ronan reminds me of holden caufield.

ethan, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

He said lets hurt people, not maim them.

Ronan, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like Ronan. He has good taste unlike you pop loving freaks!

bnw, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like the fact that his name is Ronan.

Ally, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

He has good taste unlike you pop loving freaks!

Oh, give in. You know you want to.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

these dumb-ass frat boys were renting a bunch of movies at the video store the other day and just like, scouring the place for the absolutely worst shit and complaining about the director-based organization system ('who like, even fuckin knows who made these movies?') and the only good movie i heard them comment on was john frankenheimer's ronin, which they referred to as 'ro-nan', rhymes with conan. how do you even get a short 'a' sound out of '-nin'? they ended up renting tomcats and the godfather.

ethan, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I can see Ned now groaning "join us".

I have some thoughts re pop. not really negative ones, but certainly ones that I need to think about during the day when I'm not tired and then post on ILM. I bet you can all hardly contain yourselves.

Ronan, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm too polite to pick anyone above anyone else but I'd like to see Robin C and Michael Bourke resume posting, they seem to have dropped off the radar.

Billy Dods, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I am amused by Ronan, Momus, Ally, Hanle y, jess, Nude Spock, and Emma. I like Anthony, Ethan, and the Rainy Maryann duo. I am also irritated by Momus, Ally, and Nude Spock.

Maria, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's very hard for me to dislike somebody in this medium. I have a LOT of complimentary things I'd like to say to various people but right now I feel shy, what with being stalked, albeit lazily.

rainy, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

oh go ahead rainy, mark is constrained by, um, his love for steak and kidney pie (aka botulism.) he'll never leave the motherland.

jess, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, I'm not afraid, I'm flattered. Okay here goes then: Ally has the X-Factor. I want to be brothers with you, jess.

More later, I am late for something.

rainy, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ally has the X-Factor

Yow! A truer statement was never spoken. :-)

Mike Hanle y, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've never much voiced this sort of opinion here but I think maybe a time has come, so... I think Dan seems incredibly well balanced and cool while Ally is very entertainingly unbalanced and cool. James and Jess both seem to possess a certain quality that I can really realte to. Nitsuh says great things constantly but seems a bit of a mystery. Ditto for Tom, except that he's clearly an open book. Suzy is swanky. Ethan is intense. Hanley acts all cute and stuff. Ned is benevolent. Dave q is deliberately malevolent, yet I don't quite buy it. Mel is really thoughtful. Kerry seems so strong and self sufficient. I think I like Sean a lot too but don't know enough about him. DG is a great host. Anthony has admirable focus. I think it's kind of neat that in the entire nine months plus that I've been around these boards that I still know *nothing* about the pinfox. And of course there are many more that are escaping me at this second, but since this is I Love Everything I'll go out on a limb and say that this loving is for all y'all. yeeee haw... well all right.

Kim, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

...nothing about the pinefox including how to spell his name. Sorry stranger.

Kim, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

but am i intense...to the EXTREME!?

ethan, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Mel is really thoughtful.

I don't know how to interpret that, leaving me with the possibility that I am thoughtless. Explain thoughtful? Not that I think it's a slight, just that I'm not sure whether to take that as "considerate and kind" or "introspective," and I'm not entirely sure I'm either. :)

Melissa W, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm not quite sure myself Mel, I think reflective or emotionally analytical would be more accurate - I was thinking mostly of some of your music comments on ILM which struck me at the time as having a lot of depth to them. It's not an attempt to summarise you in one word - just a good thing that came to mind. :)

Kim, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I am beyond categorization. And, damn it, that's a GOOD thing. (No one likes me because I'm seeking approval. That's why. I knew it.)

David Raposa, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

My favourites, not counting people who have already been named lots, cause I like all those guys too, are Maria, I think she's the coolest, Duane, Di, Menelaus, Elizabeth, Hamish, Cameron even though he doesn't really 'get' the internet, lurkers I know.

And as for Rainy, she's the biggest slag on the internet, I wish she would stop posting. Her spelling and grammar is really bad, and she doesn't ever pay any attention to me even though everything I write is better than what she writes. And why does everyone like her so much, why don't they pay attention to MY art? It just goes to show that true genius will always go unrecognised while it's being produced.

maryann, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Plus she eats way too many sweets, and she always fools me into eating them just from spite. She sneezes too much and she has eyes like buckets of paint and she steals my funny lines and doesn't credit me for them. Her bangles jingle annoyingly and sometimes she says just what I was going to say and doesn't credit me for it. When she wears a skirt her legs look like toothpicks and two of her front teeth are chipped. She dictates to me when I'm typing and ... what ... makes me go back and correct things just because the meaning is slightly ambiguous and any fool could tell what it was supposed to mean, like if I said 'her front teeth' instead of 'two front teeth' she goes 'that makes me sound like I have a mouth full of broken teacups' and I think she is trying to make me fat so she can steal my boyfriend.

maryann, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Boyfriends are for fools. Keep your dumb boyfriend, you old ghoul. You're no oil painting yourself, by the way. In fact I've seen prettier hippos. And by the way, you don't need my help to get fatter than you already are. Lay off my grammar, you piece of rubbish thats too dirty for thy rubbish bin.

rainy, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

thats right, "thy rubbish bin".

rainy, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

At least I'm not a rubbish bin that's too dirty for rubbish.

maryann, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And by the way, you didn't even insult me, because actually MY rubbish bin is too full to fit rubbish in, it's not because I'm too dirty for it. So next time maybe you won't try to make out like you made such a clever spelling mistake like you have an MA in English or something. Artist.

maryann, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Egg-head wants her booky wook.

rainy, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The course of true love ne'er did run smooth, they say. ;-)

Ned is benevolent.

Gosh. I have to admit that's not a quality I would have immediately ascribed to myself! But I thank you, and everyone else who has made nice comments. :-)

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

well, of course i'm gonna say the dunedin people RULE! Except cheezwhizz who was just plain rude. Damn it, folina, ina and beth, you guys should NOT lurk. come out, come out wherever you are!

i also like mike hanley (that rotten dunedin-hating bastard), doompatrol, suzy and the person who i have a crush on whose name i am too shy to reveal (yer hot hunny) and anthony.

di, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ned, face it. You're the IL* daddy.

Kim, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I am? Er, okay! Now you kids settle down and go help your mother.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

tee hee!

rainy, Thursday, 18 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

why are you laughing fat face?

maryann, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

because I read your Blog, you psychotic lump of melted plastic. By the way, your petticoat is showing.

rainy, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I heard you quoting my blog to Matt Couch the other day. Busted!

maryann, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

listen here you overrated pile of old wet towels, your blog sucks shit and we were merely discussing that FACT.

rainy, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

oh yeah was that before or after you prefaced your quote with 'so what d'you think of this, I wrote it this morning'?

maryann, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You must have misheard me you poor fool. I said, "what do you think of this, I used it to wipe up some old soup this morning". stop bothering me and go back to bothering someone else.

rainy, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yeah right I 'misheard' you. I'm the ONLY one who can hear through that speech impediment. And you didn't seem to mind me 'bothering' you last night when I found you walking backwards along the motorway with no shoes on.

maryann, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well thats nothing compared to the time I had to come and fetch you from the Britney Spears cd sale, when you were crying cos they were sold out and you'd lost your bubblegum lip-gloss and a boy had said, "out of my way, fatty".

rainy, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Actually, he said that to YOU

maryann, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

DREAM ON, YOU WHALE. Stop projecting.

rainy, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

When you get out of therapy I'll stop 'projecting', Oprah

maryann, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

and when you get out of overeaters anonymous, I might start returning your fat headed calls. fat head.

rainy, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You didn't say that last night when you called me up crying because you'd lost your copy of 'The Road Less Travelled'

maryann, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And you wouldnt be acting this way if knew that I might 'accidentally' tell everyone about the time that your feet were too fat for any kind of shoes and you had to wear newspapers taped to your fat, ugly, bloated, groaning feet.

rainy, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Actually I made that up to console you for losing your copy of 'Getting Beyond Codependency'

maryann, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm tired of you trying to live vicariously through me.

rainy, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

and so is Matt Couch, he asked me to tell you.

rainy, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Did you guys learn 'vicariously' in co-dependents anonymous this week?

maryann, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

By the way, it's true that I want to live through you vicariously. That way I won't have to worry about catching all your STDs.

maryann, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Nothing you can say will change the fact that you're whats wrong with society today. And I'm not.

rainy, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm wearing your underwear.

maryann, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

yay!

rainy, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

ARE you two sitting next to each other in a computer lab or whot?

Sarah, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

surely they are in each other's laps by turns

mark s, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Cold shower for Mark S.

Tom, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

honi soit qui mal y pense, bustah

mark s, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I wanna hang out with Rainy and Maryann, they're my type of people.

I have X-Factor and I'm entertainingly unbalanced, btw? I don't know if these are compliments or not, but I'll take them as such, even if they're meant to be backhanded. You all don't get to see my real life behavior, it's far more entertaingly unbalanced, I spent an hour and a half last night walking back and forth about 3 feet on a deserted block, spinning around, and giving Ramon crazy glares while asking him why he's so unbalanced, and then went to Citrus and proceeded to have a complete raging panic attack over what I should wear to Otis's hippie Halloween party. Then these two guys were talking about the soap opera Passions, which was just a little weird for me, so I had to go home. Home to my hot, hot apartment. It's the hottest apartment in the world, it's making me a little insane I think.

Ally, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I love Passions! That's the nuttiest soap ever!

Samantha, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

oh, I do have a least favorite poster but she doesn't come around anymore so I don't see the need to invoke her name. It's like Candyman if I say it, she'll appear.

Samantha, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Don't mention Candyman! It'll make me want to watch it again and I can't because I'm going out of town for the weekend.

Nicole, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Candyman. Candyman. That makes four. Anyone?

chris, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

If I hear my name once more I'll........

Ronan, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Nicole, for the squirrel episode
Ricky T, cos he's opposed to infinity
Tracer Hand, for the Christy Turlington episode and more
mark s, but sometimes he reads like a math book, i.e. too many equations, too little text

honorable mention: Michael Jones and g in tandem on the audiophile thread

youn, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ricky T, cos he's opposed to infinity

I thought that was Pete. I'm fairly unopinionated when it comes to transfinite numbers.

RickyT, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

That was just an excuse. The real reason was that you answered my silly question about MPs, councillors, etc. and then I noticed you were helpful like that to other people as well.

youn, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hurrah for RickyT! Answers on a postcard to all.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Awww shucks.

RickyT, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I wuv RickyT and thort of him last night when the badgers were running the golf sale. Hooray! I dislike Anthonys art threads because I am sure he makes them up. The people who I like will know the people I dislike anyway, not that I do, wuvly chaps that you are.

Sarah, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And today has seen AN END to that "Tunnicliffe" moniker, surely deed poll is not far from sight.

Sarah, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like that Dirty Vicar fellow. He doesn't post much, but when he does he's on the money.

I furthermore declare that I am in no way associated with the Dirty Vicar, nor has he encouraged me in any way to send in this post.

ian moore, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

(beams)

Tracer Hand, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Nathalie natuurlijk
>Well, Omar, I wuv U 2. ;-) I was a bit let down when I heard you weren't coming to A2A. Bollox, I said. Then I continued to question Alex what you looked liked. "A real Hollander." hahahah So *poof* there went with my image of you the exotic androngynous 20something yuppie. ;-))))

nathalie, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

that fatnick is a very funny chap!

Mr incognito, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ally is reminding me an awful lot of Dominique Francon. Frightening and funny at the same time.

Maria, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Who?

Ally, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I wuv Starry too.

RickyT, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The main female character in The Fountainhead. The author made her out to be this ubermoral woman but she was really just crazy.

Maria, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Surely I'm someone's LEAST favourite!?

JM, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

that mod fellow i think hes a bit dodgy

anthony, Friday, 19 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

---------- Then I continued to question Alex what you looked liked. "A real Hollander." ----------

Infamous lies!!! Oh boy, shortie is gonna get it next time. :) Your initial fantasies are quite correct Nathalie.

Omar, Saturday, 20 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I R liking fatnick, too.

di, Saturday, 20 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

No! Don't encourage him!

DG, Saturday, 20 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think Kim is cool!

james, Saturday, 20 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I don't like this thread anymore.

Ally, Saturday, 20 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You're just pissed because you're like an Ayn Rand book.

Otis Wheeler, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

If I was compared to an Ayn Rand book, I'd be pretty pissed too.

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Tadeusz Shrugged

mark s, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

you people all have no taste. it truly wasn't meant as an insult.

Maria, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Your initial fantasies are quite correct Nathalie.
You look like an extra out of a Spanish rework of Trainspotting? ;-)

nathalie, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What, Omar as a Spanish version of Begbie? Godverdomme!

stevo, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Everytime this thread comes up on new answers I expect to see someone saying they hate me or wuv me. I get dead paranoid.

I am an egomaniac it seems.

Ronan, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i like people from europe and america but dislike people from antartica.

kevin enas, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I R thinking Di has best taste on these boards!

SmugNick, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'll bet more people would love me if I'd gone with my first impulse and been known as Swizzle...

Kim, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I R thinking more people would be liking you if u joined fatnick fan club!

extrasmugNick, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

One more anyway.

Ronan, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

yay! somebody likes me!

di, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

-------- What, Omar as a Spanish version of Begbie? Godverdomme! --------

heheheh getting better & better. :) Donde esta el puta caballo, coño!

Omar, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Didn't I say you were a goddess Di?

Menelaus Darcy, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

you mean a goddeth, matt middleton?

di, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I do not have a speech impediment. I R being normal.

Dammit Fatnick/smugnick I want to talk like you but that would be unoriginal

Menelaus Darcy, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

oh yeah. i'm just reminded what a loudmouth i am. there i go paying out matt when i know folina lurks here. duh!

di, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I hate Ronan.

Nick, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like Nick's bile and the way he's hard on the modern interweb

chris, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Folina! come out, come out where ever you are... you need to bask in the glory of Di's four hundred or so posts.

Menelaus Darcy, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I agree Chris. You'd never think he'd be so easily succeptable to a beating in real life.

Ally C, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You're just pissed because you're like an Ayn Rand book.

Well, at least I haven't been compared to emo and Jules et Jim, Wheeler. UNLIKE SOME OF US.

Ally, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

But Nick I thought we were...................................forever.

Ronan, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like you all. I'm trying to think of who here annoys me, but I think it's miscommunication that annoys me, not people. Ethan's "nude spock is dave q" thing makes me curious, but does not piss me off. Dunno.

Nude Spock, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I enjoy reading David Q. I think he's funny.

the pinefox, Tuesday, 23 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You do realise he isn't David Quantick, don't you?

Nick, Tuesday, 23 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

He's probably shagging him right now seemingly safe in that knowledge.

Ronan, Tuesday, 23 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

ronan that doesn't make sense

mark s, Tuesday, 23 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

ILE in 'not making sense' shocker!

m jemmeson, Tuesday, 23 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It made sense to me.

Ronan, Friday, 26 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've gone off everybody.

Nick, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Aw...I will have to tear down my thin Nick Dastoor shrine. Rejection is a bitch.

Nicole, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

anthony is a bitch.

Geoff, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Nicole: is the shrine itself thin, or is there a fat Nick Dastoor? Oh wait, THAT guy..

Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

ally...yer on my shitlist.

di, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I don't hate anyone, just occasionally get cranky with all of you, in fact the ones I get cranky with are probably the ones I like anyway.

Ronan, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Geoff is jelous that i can keep a man

anthony, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'd go on the piss with Ronan, he'd probably drink me under the table tho'...I'm quite rusty

m, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Lets face it ..without Hanle y there is no ILE

Mike Hanle y, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

He speaks the truth, sire!

DG, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

silence bat-arsed boy!

Mike Hanle y, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I was talking to David on the bus today heading to get a haircut and he asked me about this board. I said it amused me and made me think, it gave me a transnational glam contact high. Then i remmebered Ronan. I love Ronan , he has more of his shit together at 18 then i though was possible.

anthony, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I try not to like Rainy.

Mike Hanle y, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

well try harder then :)

Menelaus Darcy, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i have liked Mark S's posts lately, oh and I think Will should post more. He likes(liked) my name. He's my new favourite.

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i have some new faves to add to my list too. such as mark s, maria and katie. i'm not just a bundle of hatred.

di, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I am beginning to think I am. I probably need to eat some chocolate or something. maybe watch a movie

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

oh don't be silly menelaus, we all know you love me.

yeah, maybe cruel intentions would be a good idea. lets stop at the 2-4 on the way

di, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

yes, excellent idea. But really Di you have to do something about that ego, it is becomming quite unmanageable and casts me quite in the shade.

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, and I do admire the mystique that mr smythe maintains. It's ever so stylish

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

menelaus you have more fans here than me. i have to make up for it by uber-loving myself.

yeah who is mr smythe?

di, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

one of life's little mysteries isn't it?

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I find a certain amount of anger to be creatively enhancing. expand your vocabulary etc

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I love Di ever since she stopped liking me. I don't know why I always do that. I guess I hate rejection but I can't handle the expectations that go with affection.

toraneko, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

anthony's men only hang around cos they're tied up in the basement.

Geoff, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

why does hanle y try not to like me? Does he succeed?

rainy, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

there is no try, only do.

rainy, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Rainy has won me over too. She's like the beloved homecoming queen or sumfin'.

Kim, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i would be having a crush on rainy if she wasn't a. a name and an email address and b. a little too big to comprehend.

jess, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You SO should have a crush on Rainy. She isn't big, her neck is as thin as a blade of grass.

maryann, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

big in a metaphorical sense; i'm sure rainy is quite the pixie.

jess, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

xxx I wuv you guys.

you can snap my head off if you like.

rainy, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"like something underwater turning ten fathoms deep/and swimming after and you and me…
is the hangman like a sandman?"

mark s, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i like kim too. she seems pretty on-to-it

di, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I hesitate to even participate in threads like this becasue they seem clique-y, but having said that, Rainy makes me laugh. She seems like a good person. People who hate Rainy for no real reason=dud.

turner, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

owfa, arf, meep - dats so nice!

rainy, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You know what? I don't like any of you, with the exception of like 4 or 5 people. Oddly, though, I don't have a problem with rainy. I say oddly cos apparently she's the source of much irrational dislike lately, or something. So big ups, rainy.

Ally, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I am probably my least favorite ilx poster, because I get bored with the way I'm wittering on about everything. See, this is why I need to get laid off, I need something better to do than discuss Brett Anderson's builder's crack!

Nicole, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Brett Anderson has a crack now? I thought he was thinner (or, as they say in the movie, THEEEEENERRRR). I'm so out of touch.

David Raposa, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You don't need to be fat to have a builder's crack, you just need baggy-ass trousers. But he's one of those Luther Vandross dramatically fluctuating weight types anywhow.

Nicole, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

ten months pass...
I'm scared of Sterling cause he called me, or my thread, "kinda shallow". the Pinefox scares me cause he's so wilfully enigmatic. Ethan scares me cause he seems pretty raucous and if y'ever did bad words in his News jotter, he'd pee in yr pocket. I'm not scared of jess, but why does he hate me? Who else? I'm a bit scared of Angry Tom, like when Ronan inadvertantly pissed him off and it felt through the pixels that e-wing was gonna lop his little Irish gelled hair off. Grey Ham scares me cause he has a delete button for ilxor.

Sometimes I get a bit sighy when I see the same people always replying to the same people: david h to mark s, david h to ronan, david h to some other people, without, say, david h to ethan/mitch/josh/rainy/pinefox [this happens with other people too, name names? ok, the sinister crew tail a tight slipstream sometimes, and others]. Sometimes I get a bit sighy when I see other people not acknowledging other people. Ie does Dunedin exist?

But I do read a lot of your posts. All of yous. And my favourites: gareth, josh, sterling [cause he's so elliptically flippant, but y'know he's a little beaver of intelligence under his hub of insouciance so y'have to think abt what his flipglib mark means, eg tossoff # 1 "Pop = punctum!"], Marcello, mark, Tom, Tim F, Tim H [esp, on football], i'm sure i'm forgetting some of you, oh yeh, Nitsuh rocks boats too. And others.

david h (david h), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 22:13 (twenty-three years ago)

It's weird how you gain weirdkudos just due to a little remark. And how you give it out too. Like, if I'm being honest, I wasn't much sure exactly who Ellie was until she said she loved AL Kennedy, then whammo, I'm off googling. Yeh, s'weird. Momus is good too.

david h (david h), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 22:16 (twenty-three years ago)

FOR GODSSAKES DAVID HOWIE, I DO NOT HATE YOU YOU KING MENTALIST.

jess (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 22:24 (twenty-three years ago)

haha we have a great new name to call sterling!!

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 22:28 (twenty-three years ago)

what?

felicity (felicity), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 22:30 (twenty-three years ago)

i revere the pinefox, and hold that he is infallible.

nabisco, martin skidmore and kate seem to think a lot like i do. melissa i know of from pitchfork. and anthony i love to death. the one time that i talked to di online, she seemed neat.

fortunately i am still to much a novelty to have my detractors.

mike (ro)bott, Tuesday, 24 September 2002 22:31 (twenty-three years ago)

here is my new list of faves: starry sarah, jel, norman fay, nitsuh, andrew, elisabeth, issadora, ess-kay, ned, ron, jess, mark s, rainy, maryann, doorag, george gossett, menelaus darcy, duckling, hamish, spectra, anthony, geoff, toraneko, katie, indykid, petrajane. all of the aforemtnioned i love because i don't know whether to love or hate them. this is not a lie but its not the whole truth. thats the closest i get to outright hatred. i don't hate anyone. ignore the prior comment about shitlists, obviously i was in a permanent bad mood last year. now i have been normalised by diaryland into tweehood.

di smith (lucylurex), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 22:34 (twenty-three years ago)

sorry i forgot ramosi, ellie, chupa, hanle y.

di smith (lucylurex), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 22:38 (twenty-three years ago)

sterling = "little beaver of intelligence"

like the old mole of revolution kinda, with a porn twist

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 22:42 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't think I have a least favourite poster here (and even if I did I doubt I'd say who anyway), but I have lots of favourites, in all sorts of different ways for all kinds of different reasons (and leaving aside my pre-ILX pals Andrew L and Tim B): Mark S, Anthony, Tim H, Ned, Marcello, Dr C, Anna, Katie, Graham, Tom, Pete, Alan, Pinefox, Julio, Emma and lots of others. I'll think of some others I should have mentioned in a minute too...

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 22:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Dunedin does exist; I have a special fondness for the NZ/Australia folks & US insomniacs, simply because they're posting when I'm on in the evening here, when it would otherwise feel rattly and empty.
And Martin, I'm still thankful for yr shelf hanging help offer, even if it couldn't be used. : -)

lyra (lyra), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 23:17 (twenty-three years ago)

i forgot maria, livvie and bri

di smith (lucylurex), Tuesday, 24 September 2002 23:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Yer all wonderful, as has been previously noted. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 01:06 (twenty-three years ago)

I am my least favourite poster. Big fan o' Mark Pitchfork, especially and um, who else? Nabsico, or whatever he calls himself right now is great, also.

OCP (OCP), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 01:51 (twenty-three years ago)

I used to have quite a substantial dislike of Marcello but that's been turned around considerably. I hated Calum but he doesn't seem to have ever made it over to nu-ILx. There are a couple of other posters who I don't get along with or disagree with quite often but I don't really remember them offhand. I'm not saying my faves because (a) no-one ever seems to remember me (b) they might think i fancy them and am a mentalist (c) they will get a BIG HEAD or not as the case may be

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 02:11 (twenty-three years ago)

jim you're the one who likes jean-jacques perry and menudo, right?

jess (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 02:17 (twenty-three years ago)

you're the closest so far

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 03:12 (twenty-three years ago)

I miss Kodanshi.

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 03:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Oops, sorry david -- that was a joke! I just searched to see what you were talking about and the thread was "veiled insults, c/d" so I replied with a veiled insult! No harm intended. I guess that makes them "D".

Also, I hate the phrase "mole of the revolution" because it brings to mind a doddering molelike Tony Cliff staggering around like Mr. Magoo. Anyway, if Marx coulda foreseen "Caddyshack" it shoulda been gopher of the revolution!

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 03:23 (twenty-three years ago)

yay! I finally got mentioned by someone! thanks di! and kim, from when I used a different name!

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 06:32 (twenty-three years ago)

haha jim that's probably 'cos I post a lot less now than I used to, plus I generally stick to being "me" now, if that makes any sense.

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 25 September 2002 10:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Anyway, favourite posters. Difficult because some of you are proper friends now and in particular I think of Nathalie and Mark S as friends first and ILxers second. Dr C is in that category now as well. Plus of course the "extended family" who I still only know electronically; Jess, Robin C, Anthony, Maryann, Ned, and probably D Howie (try sending that email again, I still haven't received it). And FAP regulars like Tom, Ktee, Gareth, Martin and the usual lot.

So the distinctions are blurred, but I always look at Anthony's posts as a matter of routine (even if I never reply to any of them) - there you will find wisdom and laughter aplenty.

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 25 September 2002 10:17 (twenty-three years ago)

And of course the improv massive: Julio esp, and Andrew L.

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 25 September 2002 10:18 (twenty-three years ago)

ctrl+f says that none of you like me. well fuck you too.

my favourite poster is fergus. my least favourite is that shihad one i should have taken down ages ago.

webber (webber), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 10:25 (twenty-three years ago)

My favourite posters I haven't already met: James Blount, Ellie, Nabiscuh, ArfArf, Jon, Felicity, Di, the Vicar, Andrew L, Rebecca Spacecadet... and lots more, no doubt.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 10:36 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh i love you bestest Webber! never fear you have all the sharp shoes.

fergus, Wednesday, 25 September 2002 10:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Well I like all the London crew, I guess I talked more to Chris, Tim H, Anna, and Jonnie when I was over. I think I find it a bit easier to actually get on with ILM now since I actually find I have things to say. I love the recent influx of posters who know are into the same music as me, Michael W gets a mention for loving Cosmos and Josh One. I'm less scared of Tom now I've actually done some stuff for FT and met him IRL, I'd like to actually meet RickyT properly, also like to meet Dr C at some point. David H is a diamond geezer and always very good to chat with about an article in the works. Jess the same, also a funny man. I've probably forgotten lots of people, ah yes, Andrew F from Dublin is sound also, and though I only met DV briefly at Glastonbury he seemed a nice dude too, possibly see more Dublin ilxers soon.

(ps omar likes vitalic and that's huge praise)

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 10:48 (twenty-three years ago)

i got a namecheck! ronan is my favourite! i h8 nobody. you are all funny guyyys with interesting things on your minds and i'd be happy to have any of you as friends as most of mine are a bit boring if truth be told.

michael wells (michael w.), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 10:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Fear the improv massive!

**also like to meet Dr C**
Aww. It's odd that our paths didn't cross when you were in London. I think I missed a couple of FAPs earlier in the summer.

Dr. C (Dr. C), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 10:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah I only made one full one and about 20 minutes of another, still I might be around in November, it just depends if I go to London for a few days before heading to Southport for Tribal Gathering.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:03 (twenty-three years ago)

but you did manage to get more than a little tipsy dintcha?

chris (chris), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:08 (twenty-three years ago)

''Fear the improv massive!''

hehe...why?!

anyway I like you all but special mention to the ppl I met in toronto (Noodles, s carruthers, sundar. also rob, dyson but they don't post often). also to anthony and that other canadian dave q.

Must mention the dunedin/NZ crew (who keep posting when we are all sleeping, well...sometimes not as I found out when i went to toronto and posted from there and also sometimes they stay up, must be NZ coffee!).

the london crew: mark s, marcello, andrew L, martin skidmore, tom, jel, bob zemko and many many more (most of which i haven't met but hopefully will in future).

from the US: Melissa W, Ned, Deraymi register most in the mind but everyone else too.

yeah and er, everyone else...

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, I knew things were going downhill when I broke your glass mid-gesture.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Jess too. yeah...and everyone

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:13 (twenty-three years ago)

I forgot that completely!! ha ha ha ha ha ha It was a good gesture though obviously.

It was the taxi ride home that sticks out in the mind.

chris (chris), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Ah yes, the moral of the story is just because you've had mcdonalds too often and you're in a hurry don't think you can get away with not eating anything before going out drinking. I still have your Champion T-shirt by the way!

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:18 (twenty-three years ago)

ah no worries, I'm too fat for it now probably.

The grey one? or a blue one? I thought I saw that the other day??????

chris (chris), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:20 (twenty-three years ago)

A navy one, yeah it's a good fit on me so I'd say it might be a bit indecent on you these days.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:24 (twenty-three years ago)

oh that one, with weird sleeves that looks as if its got another one inside??? ah that was cheap from TK Maxx, keep it.

chris (chris), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Shit I never noticed the weird sleeves, everyone's probably been mocking me all this time. My mum thought it was very nice.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:28 (twenty-three years ago)

oh it is nice, your Mum is right.

chris (chris), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:47 (twenty-three years ago)

Marcello I sent to the marcellocarlin@hotmail address both a person e-mail and a Wha'da'fu' re: Rev. Rd. Didn't you get either of these? Hmph. I have them saved, I'll try re-send.

david h (david h), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:54 (twenty-three years ago)

You all now who I love love love.

Graham (graham), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 11:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah. You don't need to go into it if you don't feel like it...

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 12:01 (twenty-three years ago)

David, don't forget the ".com" bit at the end of "marcellocarlin@hotmail" ;-)

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 25 September 2002 12:09 (twenty-three years ago)

yr all fucked...still.

Queen G (Queeng), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 13:48 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't know what Jim is talking about: I always notice his posts. Actually I think he's the most consistent one on ILX with the "insert funny comment" bit -- not a lot of outright howlers, but he keeps the quality really solid, 80% chuckles.

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 15:05 (twenty-three years ago)

really? *blushes*

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Wednesday, 25 September 2002 21:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Wow, I totally forgot I ever posted to this thread. That kind of freaks me out when that happens.

But jel, you're still a favourite!

Kim (Kim), Thursday, 26 September 2002 00:03 (twenty-three years ago)

altogether now one two three: "cos - its - YOU that i love and its TRUE that i love and its LOVE not given lightly / and i KNEW this was love and its TRUE that i love and its MORE than what it might be" (do not read if you hate chris knox)

yeah jim yr posts are always noticable. woohoo namecheck by jerry!

di smith (lucylurex), Thursday, 26 September 2002 01:25 (twenty-three years ago)

So when are we due for another round of ILx awards anyway?

bnw (bnw), Thursday, 26 September 2002 02:12 (twenty-three years ago)

I was going to ask about that too, bnw. I want to vote for myself in all the "most annoying" categories.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 26 September 2002 02:22 (twenty-three years ago)

YES! ilx awards!

di smith (lucylurex), Thursday, 26 September 2002 02:25 (twenty-three years ago)

We need someone to stand up to the Raggett "nicest poster evah" juggernaut this time.

bnw (bnw), Thursday, 26 September 2002 03:32 (twenty-three years ago)

maybe we have ned disqualified on counts of being a robot.

jess (dubplatestyle), Thursday, 26 September 2002 03:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 26 September 2002 03:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Man!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 26 September 2002 04:21 (twenty-three years ago)

D'oh, if Ned's a robot, how is he going to get through the metal detectors to fly to boston in a few days? Unless they make plastic robots now or something....

lyra (lyra), Thursday, 26 September 2002 04:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Fret not, arrangements will be made. (Speaking of Boston, I will definitely be at the HoJo near the venue...)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 26 September 2002 04:30 (twenty-three years ago)

my exoskeleton is composed completely of polymers...mineral frames are so 1956.

mike (ro)bott, Thursday, 26 September 2002 04:57 (twenty-three years ago)

nobody loves me! or hates me! this is hell!!

Tad (llamasfur), Thursday, 26 September 2002 05:11 (twenty-three years ago)

It is not hell, Tad; it is self-sufficiency.

Colin Meeder (Mert), Thursday, 26 September 2002 09:02 (twenty-three years ago)

It's true: namechecks from the Nipper must be noted.

Could Graham explain further?

Tad, I love your unabashed Clintonite guts, which I have only known about since yesterday.

the pinefox, Thursday, 26 September 2002 10:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Queen G --> I want to be your apprentice

Miss Laura, Thursday, 26 September 2002 14:38 (twenty-three years ago)

I like that Jess uses IL[star], which is just what I used to do until IL[ex] became the dominant form.

Anna (Anna), Thursday, 26 September 2002 14:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh I love you all The Pinefox.

Graham (graham), Thursday, 26 September 2002 14:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Miss Laura - begin by consuming much bile. Excrete. Consume excretion.

Step two will follow.

Queen G (Queeng), Thursday, 26 September 2002 15:05 (twenty-three years ago)

nine months pass...
There wasn't enough Dastoor worship on this thread.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:24 (twenty-two years ago)

me/me

Texas Sam (thatgirl), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:25 (twenty-two years ago)

i love you all

i hate you all

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha my post on this thread wishes anthrax death on someone and for the life of me I can't even remember who now! It was probably Dastoor.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

There wasn't enough Ally worship on this thread (can we have a love in?)

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Together we are both the best and worst of ILE.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:36 (twenty-two years ago)

there wasn't enough [insert my name] worship on this thread.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

If I could only remember your name.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:39 (twenty-two years ago)

the rampant ally worship in every other thread surely makes up for it

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:42 (twenty-two years ago)

think about it, N.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:43 (twenty-two years ago)

jess, I do find your misanthropy strangely compelling and cute. You should start being nicer so that I can hate you for your cheer.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:43 (twenty-two years ago)

'Cheer' is such a great word. You say such great things, Ally.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I already hate you, N., you don't need to do that!

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:46 (twenty-two years ago)

WUV

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:46 (twenty-two years ago)

yuo know how i said i liked everyone. well i changed my mind.

fuck you all!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I just assumed, and I'm not being big headed here, that I was everyone's favourite poster. < /john tickle>

jel -- (jel), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Re-reading this thread has been one of the most depressing things I have ever done.

Larcole (Nicole), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 16:53 (twenty-two years ago)

i am quite ashamed of myself for starting it, actually

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 17:00 (twenty-two years ago)

If I had shame, I'd be ashamed of reviving all these ridiculous circle jerk threads today. HOWEVER it did result in the term "earflaps" so.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 17:09 (twenty-two years ago)

My sister used to tease me for my earflaps when I was 9 or so (and actually had them)

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 17:11 (twenty-two years ago)

My most favourite Il* poster : Il Cacciatore

My least favourite il* poster : Il Favoloso Mondo di Amelie Poulain

Sommermute (Wintermute), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 17:12 (twenty-two years ago)

This thread totally did not need reviving.

But while I'm at it, let's see....

Today, Jon Williams is my least favorite poster because I'm gonna have nightmares from watching the ninja turtle porn. But he knows I think he's hilarious sometimes.

I would say that Ally comes in second for not inviting me to her fake tea party (Humph!), but then again I've enjoyed her input on the Frank Lloyd Wright thread & she shares my appreciation of Mr. Bale so...

Favorite poster of the day is Cozen. I totally feel for him.

Dave Stelfox comes in second for inviting me to a pie throwing tea party.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:12 (twenty-two years ago)

but I didn't mean to NOT invite you, it was merely meant to slight nickalicious :( :(

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Well that's understandable then. Did you know he has friends that give away their shoes?? What a weirdo!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:16 (twenty-two years ago)

HIPPIES!!! Ugh, they might as well just all go sit at Hampshire College and smoke some bongs already.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

jess used to be my favorite before he became "strongo hulkington"

geeta (geeta), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally I hate you so much right now. :(

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Millar (Millar), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, the wrong answer.

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:26 (twenty-two years ago)

It's like I don't even know you anymore!

(x-post HA! Millar's so OTM he's got a ten-dollar quarter roll stuck in his buttcrack!)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:26 (twenty-two years ago)

nickalicious, come on, I used to practically live at Hampshire College, we are the same!

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, except you don't have a wang.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally (mlescaut), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 19:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Tuesday, 22 July 2003 20:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I like Hulko Harvell, it sounds like a wrestling name.

when/what did I type, actually?

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 15:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Something like, 'If I'm not posting anything, then assume I'm saying "Enrique is a dick"', cap-i-tain, which was sort of an anti-Momus comment too I spose.

But I'll feel the love, bub.

Enrique (Enrique), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 15:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Sarah is my favorite poster today.

Nicolars (Nicole), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 15:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually, no offense, Sarah, but hey since Nicolars just claimed you as her favetoo, I'm just going to have to throw my mantle to the Amazing Randy. He is totally vivifying my life right now

Vic (Vic), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 15:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm assuming you both mean Sarah Starry? (Damn having such a common name :( )

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 15:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Spinktor the Unmerciful (mawill5), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 16:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Dee, even though our opinions differ on many things, I truly appreciate your honesty and straightforwardness, and I'm sorry for snapping at you in a previous political thread. I don't know if you even remember it, but I felt bad afterwards.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

and I'm sorry for snapping at you in a previous political thread. I don't know if you even remember it, but I felt bad afterwards.

Eh, to be honest with you, I really don't remember which thread it was, but it's ok! I don't expect people to agree with my personal opinions, least of all people on this forum, and I've been the victim of some tremendously nasty flame wars in the past (and not on or because of this forum, fyi), so you should feel absolutely no reason to feel bad. It's not like you called me a "cunt" or anything!

Thanks tremendously for your post, btw. You're another quicker cheerer-upper!

I don't have most/least favorite posters, just m/l.f. posts.
Like, most favorite: snide/juvenile one-liners, informative/well-reasoned opinions, funny stories, utterly random strange things;
least favorite: really banal small talk. It's so easy to do that stuff in real life, why does anyone need to go on-line to do it!?
I mean, if I try to talk to anyone I know IRL for more than 10 seconds about who might be the Democratic nominee for VP, or what they think the best song of 2004 so far is they look at me like I'm crazy.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 07:44 (twenty-one years ago)

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 08:33 (twenty-one years ago)

i think you meant to say "destructive" rather than "deconstructive" there, although acknowledge that deconstruction is not to everyone's taste, even though "rhythm is a mystery" by k-klass is one of the great singles of the '90s.

I would not be at all surprised if I was on strongo's "hate" list.

I myself can't really do a "most favorite" or "least favorite" list, but I do think it's criminal how Julia's fabulousness has been ignored. She is truly classic in every way IMHO.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Thursday, 20 May 2004 13:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I was reading over this thread and was surprised by two things:

1. Someone actually read the "Marc Bolan gave Easy-E the Aids" post.

2. I made it on someone's list. Somehow.

Surmounter, Saturday, 31 May 2008 03:49 (seventeen years ago)

I love saying "dumbass," but "dumb shit" has a nice colloquial lilt.

Eric H., Saturday, 31 May 2008 03:52 (seventeen years ago)

^^it is this kind of advice that makes sticking around here worthwhile

deeznuts, Saturday, 31 May 2008 03:55 (seventeen years ago)

I know. I sometimes take it granted that some people haven't been informed of the potential of "dumb shit."

Eric H., Saturday, 31 May 2008 04:01 (seventeen years ago)

do you say 'DUMshit' or 'dumb SHIT'? im guessing the space means the latter

deeznuts, Saturday, 31 May 2008 04:03 (seventeen years ago)

Emphasis tends to fall on both, with an extra hard T at the end.

Old school favourites: Mandee, Neudonym/Haikunym/Begs2Differ (does he still post here under some name?), Dee, Ed, Martin Skidmore, Trayce, Latebloomer, Jaymc, Nabisco, Australian Kate, Sommermute, N, Roxy, Ian Riese-Moraine, Laura H, Huck, etc... (Can't recall everyone.)

Newer favourites (though some of them might've posted here for long, it's just that I've paid more attention to them lately): Hoos, Abbott, StanM, Roxy, Grady, Tehresa, Louis, Rubyredd, etc...

I know I sometimes irritate Dan Perry very much, and vice versa, but I also like debating with him, and in the end I think he's cool and fair. And Ned of course, everyone likes Ned .

Tuomas, Saturday, 31 May 2008 12:50 (seventeen years ago)

stevienixed, Saturday, 31 May 2008 13:28 (seventeen years ago)

it's a team effort really, but there are only a few posters i would keep on the bench

elmo argonaut, Saturday, 31 May 2008 14:08 (seventeen years ago)

stevienixed, Saturday, 31 May 2008 14:21 (seventeen years ago)

And Ned of course, everyone likes Ned

Well, thanks again, it's nice to be noticed...oh, you mean that other Ned...again...

I really need to change my name.

Ned Trifle II, Saturday, 31 May 2008 14:54 (seventeen years ago)

if anybody was wondering how I feel all they need to know is "am I banned?" if not, you're on the team. prost/skold/high fives all around good job folks let's get back here tomorrow and do it again

El Tomboto, Saturday, 31 May 2008 15:01 (seventeen years ago)

Well, thanks again, it's nice to be noticed...oh, you mean that other Ned...again...

We're all in this together.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 31 May 2008 15:08 (seventeen years ago)

roxy is a true bro, as is gr8080. chaki (rip) is alright with me. ian (rip?) is cool. am0n, jergins, gershy (rip), andwhat, bell labs, estela, ned, jaxon, legendary wakeboarder steve shasta, felicity, enbb, abbott, jhoshea, pleasant plains, latebloomer, sunny, dom, banriquit, ruby, itr cru. there are some others i'm missing here probably. there are about 3 posters i would say that i hate but i don't think any of them really post to ilx anymore except for one of them to diatribe occassionally. oh and i like laurel.

omar little, Saturday, 31 May 2008 15:20 (seventeen years ago)

omg you guys we should totally sign each others' yearbooks!!!

elmo argonaut, Saturday, 31 May 2008 15:28 (seventeen years ago)

I like just about everyone really. I can't think of anyone I don't like.

Pashmina, Saturday, 31 May 2008 15:30 (seventeen years ago)

Jewelly, Stone Monkey and Display Name

Tracksuit Party, Saturday, 31 May 2008 16:08 (seventeen years ago)

That's taking it back there with Jewelly! Great poster.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 31 May 2008 16:12 (seventeen years ago)

I just love peoples names that end with a Y Nedy!

Tracksuit Party, Saturday, 31 May 2008 16:13 (seventeen years ago)

Most: everyone! Even the people that annoy me sometimes! It's like family: we don't have to get along all the time, but we're still ilxors no matter what, so there.

Least: StanM needs to stay away from threads about religion, politics, bands he loves and others might not, and really has to think longer before he posts.

StanM, Saturday, 31 May 2008 16:27 (seventeen years ago)

Haha, I thought, "daaaaam that's harsh", then saw name of poster... :)

RabiesAngentleman, Saturday, 31 May 2008 16:30 (seventeen years ago)

I just think of Trifle n Raggett collectively as "Ned"

Curt1s Stephens, Saturday, 31 May 2008 16:49 (seventeen years ago)

We do our best.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 31 May 2008 16:51 (seventeen years ago)

p.s. I left a lot of people off my list whose posts I really enjoy so plz don't think I don't <3 you. I just posted the people who make me lol most consistently.

Curt1s Stephens, Saturday, 31 May 2008 16:51 (seventeen years ago)

ned trifle is an A+ poster (as is ned r but trifle is pretty under the radar)

deeznuts, Saturday, 31 May 2008 17:07 (seventeen years ago)

Quite right. And Ned T.'s kid rules as well.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 31 May 2008 17:17 (seventeen years ago)

No favorite really. Lots of posters I enjoy: Nabisco for his analysis, Abbott for managing to maintain a very sunny disposition while being smart and funny and incisive, Ned for somewhat similar reasons, Tombot for his complete inability to do the same, Crutis and Hoos and Rev because I just like you guys, estella of course for the witticisms, many more I could mention.

Hurting 2, Saturday, 31 May 2008 17:29 (seventeen years ago)

i like to think that when people say "many more i could mention" they mean me but are too modest to say they'd love to hump my leg.

stevienixed, Saturday, 31 May 2008 18:48 (seventeen years ago)

Ok, I would love to hump your leg

Hurting 2, Saturday, 31 May 2008 18:50 (seventeen years ago)

StanM, my tongue, you freak. ;-)

stevienixed, Saturday, 31 May 2008 19:05 (seventeen years ago)

lol!

StanM, Saturday, 31 May 2008 19:10 (seventeen years ago)

stevienixed = A++ for sporting the kinda poker-face suzy wishes she had and stealth zings that would make Passantino blush while coming out of it all smelling like a rose.

libcrypt, Saturday, 31 May 2008 19:46 (seventeen years ago)

Favs? Les' see: Nabisco (who should be way more present in the election threads!) is always a pleasure to read, balanced and positive. Same goes for j0hn D., though he luckily is omnipresent at that same thread. Suzy for bringing the lols ánd the polls. Matt DC rules because of his beautiful insights on Lost (I suspect him already knowing how it all ends and began etc., but doesn't spoil it 'cause he's nice like that). StanM is without a doubt ILX's image master. Ned R. for being the ever so friendly 'pater familias', Michael 'Bouldieu' White for his eloquence, Hurting (for being the subject of the best JingleSource anthem eva!), Roxy, ZS for his utterly brilliant animated gifs (insane!), and Beth Parker for taking smart witticism and ilx poetry to a higher level! ladies and gentlemen, I applaud you all, teh list goes on and on.

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 31 May 2008 19:54 (seventeen years ago)

Oh, and Garu G. obviously. May he rest in peace.

Le Bateau Ivre, Saturday, 31 May 2008 19:55 (seventeen years ago)

elmo really did sign my yearbook

remy bean, Saturday, 31 May 2008 20:17 (seventeen years ago)

all around favorite of all time would be omar for both posting style and brohood. grady, chaki, crut, hoos, sunny & PP: y'all are my true bros and i love you too. strictly dealing with actual ilx posts, nabisco and j0hn d my favorites.

roxymuzak, Saturday, 31 May 2008 20:37 (seventeen years ago)

ilx is a beautiful anthill work of art thank you everyone absolutely for joining in - particularly those not mentioned - thank you. i could easily write a paragraph on each ilx user - this would likely be a better use of my time than the current system.

my favorite poster has been left off this list - they dont deserve to be included in such public enemy cassette tape fold out litany like theyre kid n play or whatever.

Ah, I thought I spotted his pic on some WDYLL thread, but I wasn't totally sure. Good to know you're still around, Matt.

Tuomas, Sunday, 1 June 2008 10:40 (seventeen years ago)

I knew about Matt C WAY before I knew about ILX. He used to write cool reviews (an XTC and a Gomez stand out as being close to my heart) for some WRC-related site, and I fantasised about being the next Mark Prindle or Cap'n Marvel or Adrian Denning a long time before I discovered this place.

Just got offed, Sunday, 1 June 2008 10:45 (seventeen years ago)

JOKES BRUV

Noodle Vague, Sunday, 1 June 2008 11:21 (seventeen years ago)

Um, I meant the "fuck all the rest of y'all" was jokes bruv, still luvving Jordan and LJ, who are at least 2 of the peeps on here who've put up with my mean-spirited shit with good nature and aplomb. On the same note I wanna give shouts to everybody else who's put up with my mean-spirited shit with good nature and aplomb. We scare becos we care, right?

Noodle Vague, Sunday, 1 June 2008 11:24 (seventeen years ago)

My favourite posters, outside those I know in person (ie fuckloads of you) are the ones who are all over the Lost thread, followed by those who are all over the football threads.

Matt DC, Sunday, 1 June 2008 12:43 (seventeen years ago)

Most fav: Well, let's pretend I copied and pasted a whole bunch of names here like other people have.

Least fav: The Reverend, because he's a dumbass butthead that doesn't appreciate excellence and entertainment.

King Boy Pato, Sunday, 1 June 2008 12:54 (seventeen years ago)

Actually, I'm going to vote gabnebb as my most fave because his complaining to the mods about me for a pretty weak Jewish joke has been the funniest thing posted on ILX so far this year.

King Boy Pato, Sunday, 1 June 2008 12:56 (seventeen years ago)

Fuck all the rest of y'all.

You wish. I ain't giving you my leg to hump on, you freak.

Nath that's the nicest thing anybody's said to me all week.

Noodle Vague, Sunday, 1 June 2008 13:05 (seventeen years ago)

Favourites: Everyone on ILG (which is a beautiful little example of what ILE should really be like, everyone's funny and nice and interesting and they stay on topic and never get all meta). Plus the Lost and Doctor Who thread gangs. Plus anyone I'm facebook friends with.

Least Favourites: 77ers.

And anyone who happens to fit into both lists just gets h8ted, I'm afraid.

PS Hands up anyone who hasn't Ctrl-F'd this thread?

JimD, Sunday, 1 June 2008 13:32 (seventeen years ago)

Least Favourites: 77ers

^^^ Enemies list.

Noodle Vague, Sunday, 1 June 2008 13:33 (seventeen years ago)

PS Hands up anyone who hasn't Ctrl-F'd this thread?

lol yeah right.
I'm just happy not to be on anyone's least fav list yet, but I haven't been around long so I've still got time to incriminate myself!

I was pretty wary of this thread initially but it's turned out to be just one awesome series of high fives, so I'm lovin' it.

Um, so far I've really enjoyed posts by, hmmm: Scott Seward is always fun, M@tt He1g3son has been refreshingly polite and reasonable, Ned and Dan are an awesome duo, Abbott's a hoot, I always like it when Nabisco gets all wound up, jh0shea seems like a bro, Tuomas is pretty excellent. Honestly I'm forcing myself to stop here becuase I could just go on and on. This is a pretty great place when it doesn't completely blow.

Least favorite: Can't really say. I haven't made any enemies that I know of yet and I think every person here has been guilty at some time or another of having been a pedantic little jerk. Well, except for maybe Geir Hongro who I've never seen be anything but completely friendly, even at his most contentious (which is OFTEN because he's managed to settle on a set of opinions entirely opposed to every single person on this board. I find that to be very, very impressive considering that the collective opinions here are so thoroughly varied and comparatively accepting.)---so no one sticks out yet.

Oh god, sorry guys, I'm at that point of sleep dep where my brain is all gummed up and broekn, yet I can't shut up...

I'm fond of people in general.

Aside from those I actually know Jaq, Mr Piuma, M. White and Aimless hold a special place in my heart/liver, though. But then so do many others. I've always wanted to meet the various other Matts. I quite fancy watching a Test with young master jagger, also.

As to least. I don't know that I have the energy. As you were.
