we're back at the chapel on 30 June, with no particular gimmick this time (yet!), although we will be attempting to find any top tunes we hear over the weekend.

as usual, it's FREE and there will be COCKTAIL HAPPY (3) HOUR (s), and it'll be great and everything :)

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 08:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Have I mentioned 'bah' yet?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 08:56 (twenty-one years ago)

If England finish second in their group, and win their quarter final, they play the semi on this night.

Dave B (daveb), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 08:59 (twenty-one years ago)

FAP in the dirty Gooner pub across the road first, then?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:02 (twenty-one years ago)

i'll be watching that semi whoever's in it (unless it's Germany v Russia or some nonsense) so yeh will almost certainly be a late arrival

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh - just because my first post here bgeins with 'if', don't let anyone dispute the view that not since the triumph of the proletarian revolution as the inevitable consequence of capitalist development has anything be a sure fire cast iron nailed on certainty as England getting to the semis of this one.

Dave B (daveb), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh for goodness sake!!

I will be there chucking as many cheap cocktails down my throat as possible, obv :)

Sarah (starry), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:11 (twenty-one years ago)

oh flip, i forgot to check the football, never mind, we did alright last time.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Starry, it'll be like a three-day festival - right after an actual three day festival!

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh my god!! YMOF OTFM!!! This is going to be so grebt!

Sarah (starry), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't understand.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:20 (twenty-one years ago)

PAYDAY!

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I will be being 30. Very quietly, probably.

hobart paving (hobart paving), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Aw. Come to London, drink cocktails, be 30 very loudly instead.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:23 (twenty-one years ago)

hehe, i imagine there may be a fair bit of celebrating over the weekend, won't there, my little hobarty friend :)

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Flyers for the club will be distributed at Glasto - the reverse will have full lyrics for the ever-bootleggable "Ticket To Ride'. Macca, performing this year, will expect a cut. He might get a bruise.

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I second the Liz proposal, come on Iang, do it...

Sarah (starry), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 09:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Its not a bad idea actually..

hobart paving (hobart paving), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 10:06 (twenty-one years ago)

DO IT DO IT [bounces]

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 10:21 (twenty-one years ago)

go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on go on GO ON

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 10:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll be another one in the pub for the footie through part of this - whoever is in that semi.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 11:33 (twenty-one years ago)

that pub right near the Chapel is good for watching football (numerous large plasmas and two OPs on facing walls)

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 11:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, but I fear the crowds if England are in - if it's not featuring England, we can go to the Chapel then transfer before kickoff, but if England are playing we might have to go straight to the footie pub to get places.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 11:43 (twenty-one years ago)

who here has a portable tv?

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Martin that pub was fine for Arsenal-Chelsea, the biggest game of the football season right in Gooner territory, so I reckon it should be alright. Pretty big screen anyway IIRC.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 12:12 (twenty-one years ago)

three weeks pass...
i missed hearing about this before, only discovered it on the calendar, the next two weeks are going to be deadly! (have decided to go to roskilde next weekend, for those that weren't at the fap to hear me announce it)

colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 10:07 (twenty-one years ago)

OK, there might be one or two problems with this:

1. aftermath of tube strike
2. if england win on thursday, this is when they play their semi.

for these reasons i'm going to phone them up in a bit and see if we can move it...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 10:11 (twenty-one years ago)

nooooooooooooooo

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 10:49 (twenty-one years ago)

unless you mean to the next night or summink

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 10:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Move it forward a week and you'll have the mentalists undivided attention.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 10:51 (twenty-one years ago)

well quite. also i seem to have forgotten to do this during my lunchbreak, d'oh.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 11:17 (twenty-one years ago)

well, if you do it the next wednesday, i'll certainly be back from denmark. but i'll come if it's on the 30th, although i've been enjoying watching this soccer thing... (kidding)

colette (a2lette), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 11:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I rather like the idea of using the Chapel's big screen and DJ-ing over it with apt songs (Dry Your Eyes PRIMED!)

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 12:29 (twenty-one years ago)

well i shall ask if they have the footie on, obv. but if it goes to extri time it won't finish 'til half ten, and if it goes to pens it'll be 11 before it finishes, ie kicking out time...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:14 (twenty-one years ago)

music ober the footie could be fantastic, I am officially loving this idea

chris (chris), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Especially if we can mix it with Five Live commentary...

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:22 (twenty-one years ago)

surely the week after is saner all round, plus i'm not certain they have a telly, much less a big screen...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I've seen a projection device there before.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 13:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Move it around and you might just get me.

I am not a mandible (Barima), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 16:58 (twenty-one years ago)

aw, sorry barima, i spoke to the chapel last night and THEY WILL SHOW THE FOOTIE IF ENGLAND GET THROUGH (and possibly if they don't as well), so we are full steam ahead as originally planned!!

right, i'm off to glasto now :)

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 24 June 2004 05:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, I WAS coming back next week, but I've cancelled my ticket just to spite all of you.

I am not a mandible (Barima), Thursday, 24 June 2004 08:33 (twenty-one years ago)

It's looking decidedly tense...

I am not a mandible (Barima), Monday, 28 June 2004 10:28 (twenty-one years ago)

so, do we know if this is happening or not? It's a bit quiet round here....I can only assume that everyone's still recovering from glasto.

MarkH (MarkH), Monday, 28 June 2004 13:11 (twenty-one years ago)

they're not back yet, but yes it os going on, so erm, bumpitty bump

chris (chris), Monday, 28 June 2004 13:12 (twenty-one years ago)

they're now claiming the tube won't be running at all on wednesday.

toby (tsg20), Monday, 28 June 2004 16:25 (twenty-one years ago)

SAVE A HORSE, RIDE A COWBOY!

Ricardo (RickyT), Monday, 28 June 2004 16:31 (twenty-one years ago)

it is in my slsk queue right now.

toby (tsg20), Monday, 28 June 2004 16:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought the deal was a 24 hour strike starting at 6.30 on Tuesday? So won't they be restarting Wednesday evening? Anyway, I get a bus there after work, and I've taken the bus home from there the last few times, so it's fine for me.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 28 June 2004 16:55 (twenty-one years ago)

well i think that is the deal, martin, but the posters at tube stations and the info on tfl's website says no trains until thursday. they could well just be trying to put people off, though.

it makes little difference to me either, as i'll just walk over, i guess, or take the silverlink (will that be running??). you may find that there are 20 times as many people trying to use the bus as usual, though.

toby (tsg20), Monday, 28 June 2004 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Silverlink will be running, I'll be walking.

Ricardo (RickyT), Monday, 28 June 2004 17:16 (twenty-one years ago)

The Silverlink is normally running during tube strikes, I'm pretty sure.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 28 June 2004 17:17 (twenty-one years ago)

hullo, yes it will be happening, we laugh in the face of tube strikes.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Monday, 28 June 2004 17:23 (twenty-one years ago)

well with luck i'll take the silverlink, then, as that way it'll take me 10 ins from leaving my house to being in highbury rather than an hour or more (i actually have no idea how long it would take to walk).

toby (tsg20), Monday, 28 June 2004 17:24 (twenty-one years ago)

SAVE A HORSE, RIDE A COWBOY!

the one-person focus group i conducted on my flatmate with the first 1:15 of this (all i've got so far...) suggests it will be universally appreciated as a work of genius.

i'm really looking forward to wednesday.

toby (tsg20), Monday, 28 June 2004 19:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Toby, get off at Caledonian Road and Barnsbury instead, it's a marginally shorter walk.

Ricardo (RickyT), Monday, 28 June 2004 21:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I have just been introduced to the glory of Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy.

#1 with a bullet.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Monday, 28 June 2004 21:26 (twenty-one years ago)

bump

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:12 (twenty-one years ago)

bless you my child :)

also if you don't want to feel left out tomorrow night please download "save a horse, ride a cowboy" on your filesharing software of choice.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I share not the files :(

Will I be lambasted?

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmm. Unless someon can explain how I get from Waterloo to Islington without going on a bus, I might have to miss this.

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I thought buses were ok? Is it not the tubes that are the problem?

I am unable to download things at work, Liz, so looks like we'll both be lambasted.

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Mark, buses are great. 1 to Holborn, 38 or 19 to Angel (ROUTEMASTERS!). Sorted.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Waterloo - Richmond on SWT then Richmond - Caledonian Rd + Barnsbury on Silverlink and then walk. Slightly more sanely, Waterloo East - London Bridge, then London Bridge - King's Cross Thameslink and then walk.

Ricardo (RickyT), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:36 (twenty-one years ago)

in fact there's about half a dozen busses that go from waterloo to holborn.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I suppose for me the best will be actually get the magic bus all the way to Victoria then 73 or 38, yes?

wait, do those routes go via Marble Arch?

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:39 (twenty-one years ago)

liz, here are the lyrics (watch out for popups though):

http://www.dapslyrics.com/display.php?sid=5754

Mark i don't think either of those routes go to marble arch, but you could get off there and get a bus/walk down oxford street and get a 38/19 from TCR.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:40 (twenty-one years ago)

liz, here are the lyrics

....and on a site called DAPSlyrics too!

MarkH (MarkH), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't face getting on a bus at 6.30 to Islington is what I mean. I'm less bothered about getting from Islington to Waterloo. Seriously, how long would it take me to walk from Soho to the Chapel Bar?

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:48 (twenty-one years ago)

3/4 of an hour maybe. not a bad little walk, in fact me and Jonnie walked from Bar oporto to Angel once in much less iirc

chris (chris), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:49 (twenty-one years ago)

admittedly it's been a while since the last tube strike, but i seem to remember getting on buses being a tiny bit tricky during it? or maybe i'm mixing it up with the power cut.

i hope a lot of tom's tape is going to get played on wednesday. and some carter (where was the carter at glastonbury??).

toby (tsg20), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:50 (twenty-one years ago)

341 goes direct from waterloo to angel, as does the 4. and bus will be empty at waterloo, because starting point, only getting full later (might miss stops out because too full, making jopurney quicker)

charltonlido (gareth), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:52 (twenty-one years ago)

the tube will be working by the time FT finishes no?

i think i'm walking from work to chapel bar since it's only to kings cross and then up a bit. or you can take a 10 to kings cross at least, and then walk 10 mins to there.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:58 (twenty-one years ago)

no tube tomorrow *at all*

chris (chris), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 09:59 (twenty-one years ago)

i see.. i thought it was from 1830 on tues for 24hrs. i'm out of touch though it's been weeks since i last stepped on a london underground train.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah shite.

Umm... anyone got any idea how to get from Barons Court (Fulham Palace Road) to Angel, then?

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:03 (twenty-one years ago)

theoretically you're right Ken, but posters all over the tube are saying no service whatsoever, it's like it's best to get on yr final destination tube this afternoon by 4.30 as that's when the shifts change over

chris (chris), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:04 (twenty-one years ago)

I am dreading there being 1,000 people at the bus stop all trying to get to Angel - missing 6 buses in a row, then getting one that doesn't even move as the streets are so gridlocked.

WBS - do you have a bicycle?

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:08 (twenty-one years ago)

where did you get this 4:30 figure from, chris?!

toby (tsg20), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:11 (twenty-one years ago)

can't remember, maybe the wife.

chris (chris), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:12 (twenty-one years ago)

or maybe radio London.

(plus it's a good way of getting out of work early)

chris (chris), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:13 (twenty-one years ago)

oh dear, tfl journey planner appears to be not very happy...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeh. Birrova bastard, innit...

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahah. I have a Central London bus map PDF saved. Any more queries?

Liz :x (Liz :x), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:22 (twenty-one years ago)

i have a chube map in my living room if that helps.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 10:29 (twenty-one years ago)

:-( i fear that, despite my really looking forward to this evening, i may not be coming after all; i've had a very bad night's sleep due to a painful sore throat and cough, so it seems unlikely that i'll be in any state to come out this evening. curses.

toby (tsg20), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 03:25 (twenty-one years ago)

blimey, i can't *imagine* for the *life* of me why several of you have got sore throats...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 08:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Argh, I've agreed to go to a rehearsal/audition type thing for my friend's band tonight. I'm quite scared about the state of the 38, but apparently they sound "a bit like Lush" which is too much for me to pass up.

My New Identity (kate), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 08:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm slightly put off by the tube-ism'n'all - and trying to save the PENCE and that, and well, I'm a GAY, okay?!

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 08:57 (twenty-one years ago)

coooooooooool, i think more bands should sound "a bit like lush" :)

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 08:58 (twenty-one years ago)

bah, it's just going to be ME. ON MY OWN. tonight, isn't it?

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 08:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Doesn't look like I'm going to make this either - a combination of Tube strike, plane to catch in the morning and state of total unpreparedness, plus a good football match on telly has kind of put paid to that.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:00 (twenty-one years ago)

i think i'm pretty likely to make it, actually, although i feel really grim at the moment. this working from home thing is all very well but i'm going to want some social activity by the end of the day, i'm sure.

toby (tsg20), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:06 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm coming - it's easier to get to chapel bar from work tonight than get home.

if anyone wants a nasty cold that gives you sticky bogies i'll be happy to assist too.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:08 (twenty-one years ago)

That's the spirit, Toby, take some Lemsip Max Strength. It's hard working medicine, coz life doesn't stop, allegedly.

I'm coming and I live in Oxford!

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:08 (twenty-one years ago)

we're still coming dude, a couple of buses isn't too bad, plus we'll be going against the flow

chris at home, Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:09 (twenty-one years ago)

the strike doesn't extend to The Oxford Tube then i assume?

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Oxford Tube drivers are all scabs.

MarkH (MarkH), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:11 (twenty-one years ago)

hurrah, i feel better now :)

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:18 (twenty-one years ago)

After checking on the status of the miu miu shoes I want on Upper St, I shall be coming tonight as well. Rah!

Marianna L Cecelia, Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:23 (twenty-one years ago)

*note to self must not set up tab with credit card again tonite*

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:24 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm coming too - i live pretty close anyway. i'm gonna repeat my trick from last time of going grocery shopping at sainsbury's afterwards...

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:24 (twenty-one years ago)

*note to self - convince ken to set up tab afterall and buy me drinks*

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:25 (twenty-one years ago)

fuck yes

*note to self must not talk to random drunken men after bar closing time*

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:25 (twenty-one years ago)

*note to self must let rob know that he can dream on xpost*

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:25 (twenty-one years ago)

I will be there. But then I will be Deejaying. For about ten minutes.

Pete (Pete), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:30 (twenty-one years ago)

it may be worth people with inconvenient journeys checking the tube website before setting out - when i had a look earlier it seemed that eg the victoria line might well be useable.

i just discovered that my voice isn't working very well. oh dear. anyway, provided the silverlink is ok, i'll be along. i don't fancy the walk, though. when are people getting there?

toby (tsg20), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:40 (twenty-one years ago)

should be there for 7 - looking forward to the football

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 09:43 (twenty-one years ago)

i shall be present at about 6.30, having listened to Pulp's entire recorded (albums) output at work today. Expect me to spout nothing but Jarvis aphorisms for your amusement.

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 10:43 (twenty-one years ago)

no change there then

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 10:44 (twenty-one years ago)

If the Northern Line is working tonight I might go home and pack in doublequick time then make it up...

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 10:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I see no point in not wandering up the road.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 10:49 (twenty-one years ago)

no change there then

*cough* "for your amusement" *cough*

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 10:50 (twenty-one years ago)

So the football will be on, then?

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 10:53 (twenty-one years ago)

i hope so.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 10:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Also I have Futurama DVDs if you want to borrow them, Mark.

Oh yes, I'll be there swigging cocktails, probably 6ish.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 11:04 (twenty-one years ago)

i shall try and be there, though i don't know at the moment, i am severely affected by the tube strike

charltonlido (gareth), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 11:09 (twenty-one years ago)

i'd be more likely to make this if it was less Pentonville and more Wormwood Scrubs.

(3 people here at work today, no tubes trundling along 10 metres from our windows - it's soporific)

koogs (koogs), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 11:20 (twenty-one years ago)

The announcements I heard during my journey seemed to be suggesting that the Victoria line was shuttling to and from Seven Sisters and Victoria, stopping nowhere else (as there were insufficient staff at most stations); and there is also a shuttle from Liverpool Street to Baker Street, again stopping nowhere else, but don't take my word for any of this (there may be more, for all I know). The buses were less bad coming in than I thought - I got a train to King's Cross and was ready to walk to work (Tottenham Court Road) but a #10 came along so I hopped on, and even got a seat - this was just before 9, from a major mainline station heading towards the West End, so it suggests they aren't too horrible. It seemed to move at about its normal speed for that route at that time.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 11:38 (twenty-one years ago)

My bus was normal from Highgate-Highbury Corner, then Upper Street was a hell of buses and people who were not only dumb enough to try to drive to work, but also thought that constantly beeping their horns would miraculously clear the hundreds of idiots just like them out of their paths. For the love of little green onions. I read my book.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 11:41 (twenty-one years ago)

my 141 was ok but obv. few more people than usual (i don't pass a tube station on my way at all tho). only problem was it terminated at Rosemary Branch pub and i had to walk across Shoreditch Park but that was nice enough and only made me 20 mins late as opposed to the usual 10.

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 13:25 (twenty-one years ago)

right, i'll hopefully be there about 7 i guess, provided i get back down to work in a minute. are you going to come, mark? please do, i haven't seen you in ages.

toby (tsg20), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 14:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyone know the state of the Northern Line? Tfl claims it is running trains every 10mins but I'm not sure I believe that.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 14:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyone getting there early? I'm in a morose state after wrangling over bills and want cheap cocktails :(

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 14:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Have fun. I can't make it because I've got to work late and then there's tons of ironing to do.

Mikey G (Mikey G), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 15:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I got off work (!) early today and had hoped to make it there but after yet more excavating the attic/office of a 5-person family and breathing dust and lifting lots of heavy stuff, I'm exhausted and have to go back for more tomorrow. Cha-ching, at least. I'm sorry I'm lame and will miss the dancin' and the company, but fuck, it took me 2 hours just to get home. I need a drink.

sgs (sgs), Wednesday, 30 June 2004 16:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Ricardo (RickyT), Thursday, 1 July 2004 09:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I went home. Via the beer shop. And when I finally got home I couldn't be bothered drinking the beer so ate crumpets and ice cream instead. And watched Flashdance. (Dude - what a letdown!) SATC was good though. Feh.

I assume all the horses were saved?
