Just because. This time, I know I'm right!

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 29 July 2005 22:34 (twenty years ago)

you are always wrong

RJG (RJG), Friday, 29 July 2005 22:39 (twenty years ago)

Who the hell watches big brother and thinks as they watch.

"Orlaith is really nice/funny/clever/engaging"

Who?

Tell me who?

I DEMAND IT.

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Friday, 29 July 2005 22:45 (twenty years ago)

Iam alwayswrong. blummin rubbish space bar.

Yes. But this time....

Just seen the live relay, Orlaith, Craig, Makosi have twigged Derek's obviously trying to use the 'diary room stayback' to his advantage. And his general twofacedness. He onlyhad two friends, Kemal and Eugene. Now one gone!

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 29 July 2005 22:49 (twenty years ago)

I have finally watched Thursday's episode and I didn't find Craig's beahaviour all that horrifying at all! I am worried that I am sick (considering he was a bit drunk himself)! O let me not be sick! O!

Alba (Alba), Friday, 29 July 2005 23:14 (twenty years ago)

you are sick

dahlin (dahlin), Friday, 29 July 2005 23:15 (twenty years ago)

the only way this thread title will be correct is if this is the final thread.

jed_ (jed), Friday, 29 July 2005 23:27 (twenty years ago)

I'm not usually prone to such cynicism*, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was fixed. A mysterious source tells me it was 56% Orlaith 44% Kemal according to their figures. And Big Brother wouldn't want to have only one girl in the house.

I'm off to polish my foil hat.

* may be a lie

Colonel Poo (Colonel Poo), Friday, 29 July 2005 23:28 (twenty years ago)

orlaith and her stupid threatening to walk shite. just walk already then. grrrrr

dahlin (dahlin), Friday, 29 July 2005 23:29 (twenty years ago)

they (digi spy) say she's confirmed with BB she's leaving at 10 tomorrow

The Jive Session (elwisty), Friday, 29 July 2005 23:55 (twenty years ago)

if she doesn't go i will fuck a something.

Hari A$hur$t (Toaster), Saturday, 30 July 2005 00:04 (twenty years ago)

yup it's seems she definetely going and is gonna try and convince Derek she was a mole.

The Jive Session (elwisty), Saturday, 30 July 2005 00:07 (twenty years ago)

Orla leaving in 5 minutes. She's asked the others to tell Derek she was a mole - I don't think he'll believe that, given that he is the mole.

Kemal still shorter odds than Orla to win according to DS. Maybe they'll throw him back in whe Orla walks...

Onimo (GerryNemo), Saturday, 30 July 2005 08:29 (twenty years ago)

True to her word, Orlaith has walked.

Derek, Kemal: punk'd!

David Merryweather Goes To Far (scarlet), Saturday, 30 July 2005 09:22 (twenty years ago)

"Two words - whatever."

jed_ (jed), Saturday, 30 July 2005 09:47 (twenty years ago)

I'm finding the report of that conversation v.hard to follow.

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 30 July 2005 09:51 (twenty years ago)

i know what you mean.

jed_ (jed), Saturday, 30 July 2005 09:53 (twenty years ago)

There are far too many pronouns ("you are this", "we are doing that" etc. where it's unclear who's being referred to). It's probably difficult writing up a conversation between four people, especially when it's about other people, but I think they could have tried a bit harder.

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 30 July 2005 09:58 (twenty years ago)

Actually maybe it's more that the report covers two different time periods and the two aren't demarked clearly enough. Or maybe it's just that I haven't had my first cup of tea of the day yet.

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 30 July 2005 10:01 (twenty years ago)

Do you remember being a little kid and we would be playing a game. Along would come the one child who couldn't play because they weren't old enough, or smart enough or fast enough so in a fit of pique they'd snatch the ball and run away? Well that's what we've seen here. Like them or not Science and Kemal played the game long and hard and were sacrificed to the likes of someone who wasn't prepared to play the game properly in the first place. She's taken the ball, thrown it in the canal and flounced home to watch The Tweenies.

So sez that columnist at DigitalSpy. Discuss.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Saturday, 30 July 2005 10:39 (twenty years ago)

Actually, it seems most likely that, after having heard her name booed three weeks running, Orlaith realises that she's pretty much hated in the real world, and Channel 4 were basically trying to keep her in by a thread as much as possible for the past fortnight so that when she went in her final week we had some proper Becki/Tim style allout booing from the crowd.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Saturday, 30 July 2005 10:41 (twenty years ago)

Pretty much hated, but winning the votes?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 30 July 2005 10:45 (twenty years ago)

You'd be hard pushed to claim that Science and Kemal's evictions were as a result of a groundswell of support for Orlaith.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Saturday, 30 July 2005 10:47 (twenty years ago)

Why did the public evict Kemal, again?

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 30 July 2005 10:48 (twenty years ago)

Kemal doesn't have breasts?

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 30 July 2005 11:26 (twenty years ago)

I wonder what Orlaith's breasts were like, pre-op. But not very often.

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 30 July 2005 11:28 (twenty years ago)

Kemal should of staid. Ant is SOOOOOO fit. Derick 2 win.

Dadaismus (Dada), Saturday, 30 July 2005 11:32 (twenty years ago)

That analogy fails on so many levels. For a start the ball is still in play isn't it?

The Jive Session (elwisty), Saturday, 30 July 2005 11:41 (twenty years ago)

Not if "the ball" = Orlaith's implants

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 30 July 2005 11:45 (twenty years ago)

The model rose early to make her final preparations, gathering together all of her belongings and getting dolled up for the exit. [...] "You guys tell them the reason why I'm leaving, that I was working for Big Brother," Orlaith told the trio, putting on her lipstick.

Dolled up? Lipstick? Sounds like she was expecting a proper exit and an interview and stuff. Haha! Dick.

JimD (JimD), Saturday, 30 July 2005 12:34 (twenty years ago)

Well not really. There'll still be press there.

Alba (Alba), Saturday, 30 July 2005 12:38 (twenty years ago)

There's something quite wonderful about walking away on your own terms right after claiming your second scalp of one of the choosen ones. It's a further twist of the knife to Kemal, who not only thought they had a god-given right to be there for the duration but would have sucked off a tramp in a skip if he thought it would have enabled him to win, but ended up squawking desperately "you ain't seen the last of me, bitches" over and over after bieng evicted.
Next morning his victor looks around, goes "You know what? Nah", and juzj-juzjes out of there.
"Fab'lous, babydoll" as someone once said. Forget who.

David Merryweather Goes To Far (scarlet), Saturday, 30 July 2005 13:23 (twenty years ago)

"I gave it Orl to Calum "

BIG Brother's hottest babe went Orla way with hunky Calum in a staggering 48-HOUR sex session.

The gorgeous model was left exhausted by 24-year-old Calum's insatiable appetite for nookie, which ended a staggering ten-month sex drought for Orlaith.

Orlaith has not had nookie since she bonked Calum back in March and now she is on the look-out for a new fella to sate her lust.

The Jive Session (elwisty), Saturday, 30 July 2005 23:49 (twenty years ago)

Calum Best was in Westlife?

jed_ (jed), Saturday, 30 July 2005 23:57 (twenty years ago)

"sate her lust" - blimey. The NoW goes all Elizabethan on us.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 31 July 2005 00:00 (twenty years ago)

"had nookie"

jed_ (jed), Sunday, 31 July 2005 00:01 (twenty years ago)

That naked picture is ridiculous, she must've done it within a couple of hours of leaving the house, she hasn't even changed her hair!

Cathy (Cathy), Sunday, 31 July 2005 00:06 (twenty years ago)

A TEN-MONTH sex drought is STAGGERING?

It's nearly two years since I last got any. Grrr.

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Sunday, 31 July 2005 06:51 (twenty years ago)

Calum Best was in Westlife?

Or NotW journalists are really bad at writing. Can you guess which it is?

(I think they mean (a) Calum shagged her and (b) Brian McFadden, formerly of Westlife and not averse to blonde birds with unfeasibly unrealistic breasts, tried to shag her as well)

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 07:41 (twenty years ago)

Ew, GROSS. Ed's little sis once dated an unsuitable man who allows CB to kip at his place when in London, so she knows him and says 'any girl who goes with Calum who doesn't know he's a ho finds out quick' or something along those lines.

Web Exclusive: New Housemate
Day 66, 04:15

We can exclusively reveal that there will be a new Housemate entering the Big Brother House, live on tonight's hour-long show from 9pm.

Davina will reveal the identity of the latest Housemate to join the Big Brother House as they bring the complement up to six, following the departure of Orlaith.

Housemates are bound to be stunned by the new arrival, who will be eligible to win Big Brother. They will also be able to nominate and be nominated for eviction by their fellow Housemates.

Make sure you tune in tonight to see the newcomer enter the House and catch the reactions of Anthony, Craig, Derek, Eugene and Makosi.

Mooro (Mooro), Sunday, 31 July 2005 08:57 (twenty years ago)

Best messageboard in the world for added value for the term 'hunky Calum'.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 31 July 2005 09:11 (twenty years ago)

Oh please make it Kinga. Or "I'm a do-er not a thinker and a late-night talker" Anne who nearly went into the BB2 house instead of Joshtoad.

j0e (j0e), Sunday, 31 July 2005 10:05 (twenty years ago)

Ah yes, good old Anne.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 31 July 2005 10:12 (twenty years ago)

I really hope it's someone who is good enough to win it. None of the others deserve it really.

Penelope_111 (Penelope_111), Sunday, 31 July 2005 10:13 (twenty years ago)

Anphoney won't even realise that there's somebody new in there for about three days.

j0e (j0e), Sunday, 31 July 2005 10:16 (twenty years ago)

Thinking about it, I'm desperate for the new person to be a dishy bloke that Anphoney decides he fancies. Then we can all enjoy the spectacle of Craig (who is Jill from Nighty Night without the HRT) being cuckolded.

j0e (j0e), Sunday, 31 July 2005 10:21 (twenty years ago)

jOe, you're an evil genius.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 31 July 2005 10:31 (twenty years ago)

I don't remember Anne. I hope they don't put in another moron.

Cathy (Cathy), Sunday, 31 July 2005 10:35 (twenty years ago)

Spot my favourite aside in this report.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 31 July 2005 11:05 (twenty years ago)

Hahahaha "Derek, who was playing with his nipples at the time of her exit..."

I love Digital Spy reporting back.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 11:08 (twenty years ago)

haha

jed_ (jed), Sunday, 31 July 2005 11:08 (twenty years ago)

New housemate in within 45 minutes.

Please let it be Kinga.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:10 (twenty years ago)

I have no idea who this Kinga is. Do you think they'll have considered making the new housemate a hungry lion?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:13 (twenty years ago)

according to the news of the world, it definitely is.

it would certainly be a bit unfair were it anyone else.

(xpost: except a hungry lion.)

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:13 (twenty years ago)

Did we ever find out how she knew Eugene? When they went into the secret garden her first words were "oh my god, Eugene!" when he walked in (apart from muttering about her minge, obviously). Before they introduced themselves.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:15 (twenty years ago)

It's most likely that they were at the same auditions with each other. Same way that Victor welcomed Kitten into the house last year.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:17 (twenty years ago)

Ah, the third secret garden person. I had not remembered that that was her name.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:18 (twenty years ago)

damn! and i'm not near a television (well, one not dedicated to football at least)
keep us posted you lucky gits!

dahlin (dahlin), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:20 (twenty years ago)

Holy shit, Craig really is plumbing ever further depths.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:21 (twenty years ago)

"Naughty boy, Anthony!"

Oh god, I'm dying of shame for that boy.

Abby (abby mcdonald), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:23 (twenty years ago)

I stopped paying attention for a few seconds, did he just reckon he lost his virginity at 13?

Cressida Breem (neruokruokruokne?), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:23 (twenty years ago)

I suggested that as most likely at the time, but I couldn't remember anyone actually verifying it. (xpost about Kinga/Eugene)

Craig and Anthony are wonderful entertainment, in a really creepy kind of way.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:24 (twenty years ago)

how in the world can one person be so bereft of pride as craig?

the virginity interrogation was just...there are no words.

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:31 (twenty years ago)

I've been imagining that BB has a couple of heavies poised to go in suddenly and grab Craig if it all goes too far - I don't think they really want TV's first live reality-rape.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:32 (twenty years ago)

The producers would probably love it, but the legal department might be iffy.

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:33 (twenty years ago)

It's not my dad's horse, it's dead.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:35 (twenty years ago)

That "guess the horse" sequence was wonderful - like something from Shooting Stars

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:36 (twenty years ago)

It still continues. Anthony is rubbish too.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:37 (twenty years ago)

"Poor, Anthony, poor"

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:38 (twenty years ago)

"That was poor, Anthony, get out"

"b-b-but..."

"There's the door"

Big Brother is MEAN!

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:39 (twenty years ago)

"Kilkenny"

"Who's Kenny?"

"Kilkenny"

"Why, what's Kenny done?"

HAHAHAHA!

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:39 (twenty years ago)

Not that mean - he gave a clue away eventually.

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:40 (twenty years ago)

"kilkenny"

"Why, what's he done"

BEST BB EVAH!!!

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:40 (twenty years ago)

Derek "I just thought of John Wayne"

Makosi "Who's John Wayne"

Me: GGGAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! *hits head off wall*

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:41 (twenty years ago)

Anthony guessing the horse from Dogtanian was just classic.

RickyT (RickyT), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:43 (twenty years ago)

I wish there was someone in there who knows that it *wasn't* John Wayne anyway.

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:43 (twenty years ago)

Derek's insistence that John Wayne costarred with Silver in some film is very funny.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:44 (twenty years ago)

Derek is my new God! "Name a film in which John Wayne starred with his horse Silver"

They all faff about, he tells them it's called "Hey Ho"

Makosi: "fuck, yes". LIKE SHE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN STUFF HE'D TOTALLY MADE UP!!!

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:44 (twenty years ago)

Anthony : "What shall we do"
Craig : "Masturbation competition".
Anthony continues picking his nose, not being yet creeped out.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:47 (twenty years ago)

AAARGH MY EARS

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:48 (twenty years ago)

Craig's masturbation revelations!

RickyT (RickyT), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:48 (twenty years ago)

HE ALREADY KILLED MY EYES AND NOW MY EARS TOO

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:49 (twenty years ago)

Thank God for ad breaks to give us some release (as it were) from this.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:50 (twenty years ago)

by the way I don't know who John Wayne is either, and have certainly not heard of any horse called Silver.

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:50 (twenty years ago)

Ooh, look who it is

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:53 (twenty years ago)

It is Kinga.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:53 (twenty years ago)

YESSSSSSSS

j0e (j0e), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:53 (twenty years ago)

Oh, shock horror! it's Kinga! Who'd have guessed?

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:53 (twenty years ago)

I wonder how her minge is this week.

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:53 (twenty years ago)

I hate her already!

Abby (abby mcdonald), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:54 (twenty years ago)

"So if I don't get one housemate not to nominate me..."

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:54 (twenty years ago)

Dear God, it's like Makosi in Week 1 all over again.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:56 (twenty years ago)

There's a scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail where a king is repeatedly explaining to his guards not to let his son the Prince escape...

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:56 (twenty years ago)

Took Kinga about 5 minutes to spot Eugene!

dmun drive-in (dmun), Sunday, 31 July 2005 19:58 (twenty years ago)

strapless top with huge white bra under it?

jed_ (jed), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:00 (twenty years ago)

WTF, Lex!? That is almost as bad as the Playstation thing!

RickyT (RickyT), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:01 (twenty years ago)

i thought her necklace read SEXY but no, it just reads SEX.

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:02 (twenty years ago)

"You have not knocked one out when you were talking to us, you liar."

Now we know what must form the core of Anthony's eviction interview.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:02 (twenty years ago)

well who IS john wayne then?!

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:02 (twenty years ago)

http://imdb.com/name/nm0000078/

RickyT (RickyT), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:04 (twenty years ago)

How disappointing. I thought the new housemate might have been Sandy, the horse from Dogtanian.

theantmustdance (theantmustdance), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:05 (twenty years ago)

or sandy the scotsman that jumped the wall.

jed_ (jed), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:07 (twenty years ago)

And Silver was the Lone Ranger's horse. I am pretty sure that John Wayne never played the Lone Ranger in any film.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:08 (twenty years ago)

Dom has just told me that John Wayne is like the most famous actor in ever, before proceeding to name three films that I've never ever heard of.

I don't think I've heard of any of the films on the imdb list either.

Apparently he is old and dead so how am I supposed to have heard of him anyway?

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:08 (twenty years ago)

Have you heard of Abraham Lincoln?

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:10 (twenty years ago)

Because he's a legend! It's like not having heard of, like, Henry VIII or something.

(xpost!)

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:11 (twenty years ago)

They still show his films a lot - he is certainly among the most famous ever, and in many great films, and many more ordinary ones.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:11 (twenty years ago)

Cowboy films according to Dom. I've never seen a cowboy film in my life!

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:32 (twenty years ago)

Brilliant episode. Derek is so ridiculous, he only said "silver" because of "Hi Ho Silver Lining"! He didn't have a clue that it was the Lone Ranger. He seemed to think that John Wayne starred in a film called Hi Ho with a horse called Silver (as evidenced by his quizzing the housemates later on).

The best bit was Derek asking Craig what film John Wayne was in with his horse Silver and Craig saying, "was it Buckaroo?"

(okay, I just looked on imdb and it turns out Buckaroo is a western that I've never heard of. But I thought this was really funny because I thought Craig was thinking of the game Buckaroo, and maybe he was).

Cathy (Cathy), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:35 (twenty years ago)

I like this, it has urgency yet understated gravitas I feel.

http://bbimages.digitalspy.co.uk/site/dsbb_bnews.gif

The Jive Session (elwisty), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:36 (twenty years ago)

Almost all Wayne's best films were indeed westerns.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:36 (twenty years ago)

Did Derek really think that? I thought he was making it all up.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:37 (twenty years ago)

so what, did john wayne NOT star in a film called hi ho? I'm confused here. Who is the Lone Ranger?!

I thought Hi Ho Silver Lining was a song, Dom tells me it was a film before it was a song. I say FILMIST.

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:37 (twenty years ago)

Lex, you're taking the piss. Are you drunk again?

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:39 (twenty years ago)

well that was half of it.... and now the whole thing has gone, oh well. it was only digital spy going a bit OTT. oh well.

Kinga is great she is like a cartoon person.

The Jive Session (elwisty), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:40 (twenty years ago)

I haven't drunk any alcohol since, er, yesterday Ailsa.

Dom is now trying to claim John Wayne is "iconic", but I don't know what he looks like therefore he is NOT ICONIC!

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:41 (twenty years ago)

I really think Derek thought that!

Cathy (Cathy), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:41 (twenty years ago)

In which case I take back where I said Derek was my new god. He's as much a fool as the rest of them.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:42 (twenty years ago)

Oh, by the way I should confess that I know that John Wayne was in westerns and that is the sum total of my knowledge. I have never knowingly seen a film with him in, and I'm not sure exactly what his face looks like. I could not name any films that he is in. Oh, I do know that he is not the Lone Ranger, though, although I have never seen the Lone Ranger.

Cathy (Cathy), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:45 (twenty years ago)

SEE IT'S NOT JUST ME! thankyou Cathy!

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:45 (twenty years ago)

I think I might now start arguing that John Wayne is Not Really Famous.

There's me, Makosi and Cathy as proof.

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:46 (twenty years ago)

you are all taking the piss.

jed_ (jed), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:47 (twenty years ago)

JOHN WAYNE HAS HIS OWN AIRPORT! HE IS THUS AS FAMOUS AS JOHNS LENNON AND F KENNEDY.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:48 (twenty years ago)

I thought John Wayne was like Elvis and Marilyn Monroe and James Dean in that everyone knew who they were and what they looked like, even if they weren't that familiar with their work.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:49 (twenty years ago)

Evidently I am wrong about this.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:49 (twenty years ago)

I know who Elvis and Marilyn Monroe and James Dean are, and what they look like. But I had never heard of John Wayne before tonight.

Where is this airport anyway, some remote provincial midwestern American state?

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:51 (twenty years ago)

It's all Audrey Hepburn and 2Pac with the kids today though, innit?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:51 (twenty years ago)

It's in Orange County! It's the home airport of The Offspring!

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:52 (twenty years ago)

No, Lex, it's in Orange County. Proper famous place, like.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:52 (twenty years ago)

Hmm. He is probably more famous in America, like their basketball players that we don't get to hear about.

I think it's this duder

The Jive Session (elwisty), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:54 (twenty years ago)

Oh, I do know that John Wayne is super-famous. I just don't know anything about him.

Cathy (Cathy), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:57 (twenty years ago)

I do like how I'm having MSN conversations with Messrs Lex and Jive at the moment, and how they're both posting the best bits to this thread. It's like a digest.

http://www.rotten.com/library/bio/crime/serial-killers/john-wayne-gacy/200633.1.jpg

though famed for his right wing views he would still often play the clown

The Jive Session (elwisty), Sunday, 31 July 2005 20:59 (twenty years ago)

Indie musician Sufjan Stevens' song "John Wayne Gacy, Jr" (from the 2005 album Illinoise) is about Gacy. Macabre have written a song about Gacy, titled "Gacy's Lot"; it appears on the Sinister Slaughter album. Fear Factory has also written a song about Gacy, titled "Suffer Age", on the "Soul of a New Machine" album. The american band Dog Fashion Disco has also written a song about Gacy, titled "Pogo the clown" featured on their album "Committed to a bright future". The keyboardist of Marilyn Manson, Madonna Wayne Gacy (Stephen Bier), adopted his last name.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 31 July 2005 21:09 (twenty years ago)

is that his son?

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 21:12 (twenty years ago)

Howdy, pilgrims. For the millionth billionth time John Wayne flatshared with my grandpa back when both were young. Watch Stagecoach, The Quiet Man or True Grit to get an idea without watching the Westerns (I hate Westerns).

suzy (suzy), Sunday, 31 July 2005 21:16 (twenty years ago)

Your grandpa didn't "know" Clara Bow Suzy, did he?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 31 July 2005 21:18 (twenty years ago)

i dont know who he was though? tonto?

charltonlido (gareth), Sunday, 31 July 2005 21:26 (twenty years ago)

I'm pretty sure he didn't know CB in any sense of the word (I'm not sure when he got together wiith my gran but *she* spurned Clark Gable at a party in favour of being spoken for already, by my grandpa). From what I'm told he did manage to make a few firm friends inc. JW who stayed friends for life but before I say another thing AT ALL will have to consult my dad for fact-checking purposes.

Derek's cunning plan to LOSE Craig or Anthony now needs a rethink.

suzy (suzy), Sunday, 31 July 2005 21:33 (twenty years ago)

I know that John Wayne is superfamous, and what he looks like, and that he was not the Lone Ranger, but I don't think I have seen any of his films.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 31 July 2005 21:51 (twenty years ago)

And I love that Lex hasn't heard of him.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 31 July 2005 21:56 (twenty years ago)

Surely you have seen 'The Searchers', N? Or 'Red River'? Or 'Rio Bravo'?

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Sunday, 31 July 2005 22:15 (twenty years ago)

NO.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Sunday, 31 July 2005 22:20 (twenty years ago)

The Sands of Iwo Jima? The Longest Day? The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance?

Even I've seen all these, and I'm a "girl*

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 22:25 (twenty years ago)

I think the only westerns I've ever seen are Unforgiven and Carry On Cowboy.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 31 July 2005 22:26 (twenty years ago)

They aren't all Westerns!

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 22:38 (twenty years ago)

The only western I've seen is Calamity Jane.

i so want kinga and eugene to get it on

dahlin (dahlin), Sunday, 31 July 2005 22:50 (twenty years ago)

I have seen "the man who shot liberty valance" but I think that's not really a john wayne movie

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 31 July 2005 22:51 (twenty years ago)

I know a joke about john wayne

have you seen "full metal jacket", alba?

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 31 July 2005 22:52 (twenty years ago)

Yes. But that was an eastern.

Alba (Alba), Sunday, 31 July 2005 22:55 (twenty years ago)

(can I clarify that I meant not all the John Wayne films mentioned here are Westerns. Obviously Carry on Cowboy is)

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 31 July 2005 22:56 (twenty years ago)

I thought the BREAKING NEWS jive was telling us was that John Wayne had died.

What does Kinga look like? What does Orlaith look like?

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Monday, 1 August 2005 00:28 (twenty years ago)

Kinga:

http://www.maskworld.com/pix/costumes/large/95406-bauchtaenzer-fat-suit-belly-dancer-fat-suit.jpg

Frogm@n Henry, Monday, 1 August 2005 00:32 (twenty years ago)

I noticed that Kinga, in the diary room, seriously seemed to thing she's got a good chance to win.

Given that all of them are awful, she might be right.

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Monday, 1 August 2005 06:17 (twenty years ago)

The rules, as explained to Kinga, technically mean she is guaranteed to be immune this week.

1) I'm not sure she will ever realise this.
2) I'm not confident she can't somehow contrive a way to vote for herself.

"You are now a genuine housemate. As a genuine housemate, you are permitted to nominate and be nominated by your fellow housemates. You are also eligible to win. If you can avoid being nominated by at least one housemate, you will be immune from eviction,"

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Monday, 1 August 2005 07:45 (twenty years ago)

'stagecoach' is a western. *never* watch 'the quiet man'. lex, you have heard of john wayne. chuck d mentions him in 'fight the power'.

N_RQ, Monday, 1 August 2005 08:37 (twenty years ago)

http://images.allposters.com/images/130/009_224-005.jpg

John Wayne (who was originally named Marion Michael Morrison, poor bastard) is indeed big leggy but would like it known that he has never heard of The Lex.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Monday, 1 August 2005 08:48 (twenty years ago)

I'd wager a shiny sixpence that Derek and Craig will be up for eviction this week - but I wouldn't want to try to guess which one the gp will vote for.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Monday, 1 August 2005 08:54 (twenty years ago)

i think it's about time you all put your money where your mouth is. let's make this interesting!

dahlin (dahlin), Monday, 1 August 2005 08:55 (twenty years ago)

Alright Kemo Sabe: I bet everything Mark Grout owns that Tonto doesn't get evicted this week.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Monday, 1 August 2005 09:30 (twenty years ago)

chuck d mentions him in 'fight the power'.

chuck d mentions a lot of people in his songs, I assume half of them are fictional and it certainly doesn't mean they are famous.

The Lex (The Lex), Monday, 1 August 2005 09:35 (twenty years ago)

yeah, but it's a *famous* line! 'elvis was a hero to most...'

N_RQ, Monday, 1 August 2005 09:41 (twenty years ago)

In his New Biographical Dictionary Of Film, D Thomson refers to The Quiet Man as "entertainment for an IRA club night."

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Monday, 1 August 2005 09:48 (twenty years ago)

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Monday, 1 August 2005 10:35 (twenty years ago)

"he never meant shit to me
yeah he was racist that sucker, simple and plain
mother fuck him and john wayne"

stevie (stevie), Monday, 1 August 2005 10:37 (twenty years ago)

Now imagine these lines as recited by Alec Guinness.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Monday, 1 August 2005 10:40 (twenty years ago)

"Sir, allow me to introduce you to Mr George Smiley." "Good day sir. Why no brothers on the wall?"

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Monday, 1 August 2005 10:42 (twenty years ago)

There's a more than reasonable chance that a conversation last night will be on tonight's highlights show, wherein Craig admits to sexually assaulting Anthony while he was drunk the other night. Craig tells him he kissed him, and that afterwards a 'rape' took place although he then said he said it "as a joke".

Apparently Anthony's face is a picture.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Monday, 1 August 2005 12:12 (twenty years ago)

still following?

RJG (RJG), Monday, 1 August 2005 12:18 (twenty years ago)

if bb missed the scabs-in-food thing, maybe they missed craig raping anthony. i seriously wouldn't put at least some kind of sexual assault past him.

N_RQ, Monday, 1 August 2005 12:19 (twenty years ago)

ew.

i just read digi spy and now wish i hadn't.

this was bad:

"After Big Brother had treated the housemates to some music, Kinga joined Anthony, Craig and Makosi in the living room where she declared: "I love watching porn."

In a discussion of sexuality, Craig speculated: "I think you love cock, you love penetration but I bet you love to suck on fanny and some tits."

but then there was this:

"Afterwards she tempted Makosi, Craig and Anthony to join her in the pool for a game of 'Truth or Dare'. Kinga snogged both Makosi and Craig, while Craig suckled on the bosoms of both girls. The game was relatively tame compared to previous installments, however: Makosi insisted that she was not in the mood for snogging whereas Anthony refused to remove any items of swimwear (or engage in any contact with an eager Craig)."

http://bigbrother.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds8386.html

:(

lil missy, Monday, 1 August 2005 12:21 (twenty years ago)

still following?

I am! Although I'm kind of happy that I'm not actually watching because I still think Makosi is gorgeous and wonderful despite ample ample evidence to the contrary.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 1 August 2005 12:23 (twenty years ago)

Would it be too much to ask for a "none of the above" option when voting on who to win Big Brother this year?

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 1 August 2005 12:24 (twenty years ago)

I'm totally back on the Makosi wagon, she would agree with me about John Wayne.

"suckled" urrrrgh.

The Lex (The Lex), Monday, 1 August 2005 12:26 (twenty years ago)

I think we did see a bit of the sexual assault - when Anthony was passed out on the living room floor before Eugene and Craig carried him to the bedroom, Craig was under the duvet with him at one point. Marcus Bentley said "Craig has been on top of Anthony for 6 minutes" which I didn't think anything of at the time, but in light of Craig's confession starts to make sense.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Monday, 1 August 2005 12:38 (twenty years ago)

Oh, and also last night apparrently at one point Anthony went to the toilet. Craig waited till he had got his knob out, then followed him in and uttered the immortal phrase "turn around now and I'll love you forever".

Anthony told him to fuck off, unsurprisingly. But then let him hug him to say sorry.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Monday, 1 August 2005 12:44 (twenty years ago)

Couldn't someone hire a sniper to take Craig out?

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 1 August 2005 12:46 (twenty years ago)

http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother/news/newsstory.jsp?id=1675

The Geordie steadfastly refused to kiss Craig on his lips, on his cheek, or on one of his man boobs (or moobs as they're known) and stated: "I would rather wipe my a*** with a broken bottle, not a chance. Get your head around it, it's not happening."

Too late

beanz (beanz), Monday, 1 August 2005 12:46 (twenty years ago)

Nominations over very quickly (just under an hour).

As usual, Endemol employees can't resist putting money on and you can predict quite accurately who's up:

Craig and Masoki's odds are shortening massively. So somebody has very recently bet on them in fairly big quantities.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Monday, 1 August 2005 13:14 (twenty years ago)

suck on a fanny and some tits

!

jed_ (jed), Monday, 1 August 2005 13:18 (twenty years ago)

i'm sure if craig had lost his virginity at 13 the tabs would have found the unlucky chap/chapess. that, said: he is from norfolk...

N_RQ, Monday, 1 August 2005 13:20 (twenty years ago)

Makosi drifting again, Derek remaining short.

Craig vs Derek, almost definitely.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Monday, 1 August 2005 13:39 (twenty years ago)

Tough call.

I think I'll do a Martin Bell and vote for both.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Monday, 1 August 2005 13:44 (twenty years ago)

Craig to be voted out then? Will it be a landslide? Sure more people dislike him than Derek.

AdrianB (AdrianB), Monday, 1 August 2005 13:45 (twenty years ago)

It's gonna be close. I'd vote Derek out ahead of Craig, although they're both reprehensible, at least Craig has a kind of "drunk wandering home" morbid curiosity appeal to watching him.

Derek, on the other hand, should be beaten to death by a bunch of miners.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 1 August 2005 14:08 (twenty years ago)

the craig/anthony story MUST play out. PLEASE let it be derek.

N_RQ, Monday, 1 August 2005 14:10 (twenty years ago)

If it was a man (aldo_llegedly) raping a drunken woman would people want to see how it played out?

Onimo (GerryNemo), Monday, 1 August 2005 14:12 (twenty years ago)

Are you forgetting that people are horrible, Onimo?

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 1 August 2005 14:13 (twenty years ago)

Big Brother abandoned plans for one of its most elaborate tricks yet after Orlaith's departure.

According to the Sunday Mirror, a special gingerbread house was due to be erected in the garden yesterday.

One contestant would have been lured into the house before the door locked behind them. The walls would then have crumbled away to reveal the unlucky housemate trapped inside a metal cage, which would then have been winched up into the air by a crane.

The person would only have been released if the others turned down a variety of tempting treats such as chocolates, cigars and alcohol.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 1 August 2005 14:15 (twenty years ago)

The thing is, does Craig seriously think that when he comes out, his attempted rape of another guy is going to be treated by raised eyebrows and a highlights package set to the tune of the Benny Hill music?

I get the feeling he's going to be the most villified post-eviction ex-housemate since Tim, to be honest.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 1 August 2005 14:16 (twenty years ago)

"The person would only have been released if the others turned down a variety of tempting treats such as chocolates, cigars and alcohol."

Brilliant! So what happens when the remaining housemates inevitably demonstrate once again what a selfish, gluttonous bunch of tossers they are, and sell the person in the cage down the river for a bar of Fruit & Nut and couple of bottles of cheap plonk? Do they just hang there 'til they rot?

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Monday, 1 August 2005 15:10 (twenty years ago)

Are you forgetting that people are horrible, Onimo?

No, but if it had been a woman surely some of the *less* horrible people would be calling the police?

Onimo (GerryNemo), Monday, 1 August 2005 15:26 (twenty years ago)

For God's sake, he didn't rape him.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 1 August 2005 16:20 (twenty years ago)

I did say aldo_llegedly.

Is it ok to get under the covers with a drunk woman and lie on top of her for 6 minutes without her permission? Isn't there even a whiff of sexual assault about it?

guilty until proved innocent, i say.

Too fuckin' right. Hang 'im high!

Onimo (GerryNemo), Monday, 1 August 2005 17:48 (twenty years ago)

He'd like that, though.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 1 August 2005 17:52 (twenty years ago)

he certainly liked it when anthony gave him a wedgie. it was awful to watch. he went all kenneth williams: "oooh, i say!"

i do hope craig isn't going to be adopted by the GBP as another lovable idiot whose psychotic tendencies can be quietly overlooked in favour of comedy value (qv jade goody). mind you: emma from last year has disappeared without trace, so ... there's hope.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Monday, 1 August 2005 17:57 (twenty years ago)

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 1 August 2005 20:10 (twenty years ago)

He lived in Norfolk.

So, probably not.

Forest Pines (ForestPines), Monday, 1 August 2005 20:32 (twenty years ago)

RJG (RJG), Monday, 1 August 2005 20:50 (twenty years ago)

Tom (Groke), Monday, 1 August 2005 20:53 (twenty years ago)

Considering Big Brother's history of Italian competitors (Federico, Marco, Roberto), I think that would probably have been a bad idea.

However, The Apprentice, that's a different matter. I could be the new Paul Torrisi.

The Lex (The Lex), Monday, 1 August 2005 20:56 (twenty years ago)

Oh it wasn't really him. It was just the whole thing. Going through the motions pool kissing and sucking with the new woman.

Alba (Alba), Monday, 1 August 2005 20:58 (twenty years ago)

(I seem to be curiously charitable towards Craig. I obviously see something of myself in him. Hang on, I hate myself - that doesn't work)

Alba (Alba), Monday, 1 August 2005 21:00 (twenty years ago)

I think Craig can certainly picture something of himself in Anthony

N_RQ, Tuesday, 2 August 2005 07:44 (twenty years ago)

Hi, just popped in.

1) I did say "brng back Kinga" when Orlaith went, admittedly not on here

2) Derek is so going!

mgrout, Tuesday, 2 August 2005 07:46 (twenty years ago)

I'm delighted that Kinga knew EXACTLY what her secret mission was despite Davina's smug conviction that she'd be back to the diary room at least a couple of times to clarify. What a patronising twat Davina can often be.

Penelope_111 (Penelope_111), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 07:54 (twenty years ago)

if you can't patronize kinga, who *can* you patronize?

N_RQ, Tuesday, 2 August 2005 07:55 (twenty years ago)

She wouldn't be that bad if she didn't keep going for the 'I'm mad, me' card.

Penelope_111 (Penelope_111), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 07:59 (twenty years ago)

Not that bad? She has convinced that the human race is truly lower than the lowliest cockroach. What's her surname? Samsa?

She "delivered" what she always promised: slutty pool antics, being so consistantly noisy BB had to send the housmates inside, bieng so consistantly noisy she kept sleeping housmates awake, doing that crawling along the floor growling thing, farting loudly when Makosi was trying to calmly explain that her behaviour was unacceptable, being pissed on an Oliver Reed on Aspel & Company level, more and more shrieking noise. Fun stuff.
Be interesting to see what bones they can pick out of that to show on the main programme (hope they [don't] show her wet-and-topless diary room visit).

David Merryweather Goes To Far (scarlet), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 10:14 (twenty years ago)

muahahahha they deserve her
and is derek still pleased with the new acquisition?

dahlin (dahlin), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 10:18 (twenty years ago)

I was quite impressed by how astutely Kinga was playing the game on Sunday/Monday, concentrating on Derek just enough so he didn't nominate her.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 10:28 (twenty years ago)

"Astute"? Remind me again, whatever happened to the human race?

Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 10:31 (twenty years ago)

See Channel 4 at 10pm tonight.

BARMS, Tuesday, 2 August 2005 10:38 (twenty years ago)

Come on, she played the couple of hours of Sunday, and the pre-noms part of Monday perfectly. She did exactly what she needed to do to survive to the end* and as soon as she had then she reverted to the Kinga we saw later on yesterday.

*Pending midweek eviction next Wednesday

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 10:59 (twenty years ago)

I take it back, she's obviously some kind of genius

Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 11:00 (twenty years ago)

Makosi:
"Imagine how children feel when they see you doing that?" Makosi stated. "By coming in here you're a role model and 15 and 16-year-old girls are saying 'I want to be like Kinga' so think of that."

So many faces and such a short memory.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 11:03 (twenty years ago)

being pissed on an Oliver Reed on Aspel & Company level

Blimey - guess how I misread that.

Ditto

Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 11:06 (twenty years ago)

15 and 16-year olds are unlikely to want to snog craig.

N_Rq, Tuesday, 2 August 2005 11:07 (twenty years ago)

He's such a thoroughgoing misogynist I imagine he's more comfortable with a parody of a woman than a real one

Kinga Damountains

Onimo (GerryNemo), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 12:42 (twenty years ago)

Danperryismus (Dada), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 12:42 (twenty years ago)

Worryingly, Craig is beginning to drift out in the 'Next Eviction' betting and Eugene coming in. Rumours persist, however, that Anthony is up...

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 12:52 (twenty years ago)

Derek is an absolute cert surely?

Danperryismus (Dada), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 12:54 (twenty years ago)

I really hope Craig isn't up (and therefore cetain) for eviction. He's just so strange and insane. Looking back over the whole series I'd have to say he's had the most fascinating "arc" (or plummet).
But how Anthony can withstand the unrelenting attention day and night, every day of every week is beyond me. Other than he's a bit of a dope and is used to being cossetted and waited-on by "me mam an' me gran".
I just want to see it plays out in the final week, with "Ant'nee" now finally becoming exasperated by him and Craig's burgeoning relationship with Kinga (hooting with laughter as he egged her on last night when she was bellowing and braying and flailing about).

David Merryweather Goes To Far (scarlet), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 15:15 (twenty years ago)

Derek and Eugene.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 15:28 (twenty years ago)

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 15:37 (twenty years ago)

A guess or for sure? Has Kinga escaped do you suppose?

beanz (beanz), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 15:39 (twenty years ago)

Hooray for Craig! Finally we can get rid of that deeply wierd Tory arsehole.

David Merryweather Goes To Far (scarlet), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 16:28 (twenty years ago)

"Derek and Eugene"

How in hell did Craig escape?!?

Even more bizarrely:

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 17:27 (twenty years ago)

Craig's barely been nominated at all, throughout the series, has he? I can understand why - he's harmless to them (except superhumanly tolerant Anthony).

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 17:30 (twenty years ago)

Why do I keep reading this thread? I find it so entertaining even though I don't even watch this stupid show.

jeffrey (johnson), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 20:56 (twenty years ago)

beileve it or not craig was actually quite favourably edited tonight. i watched the live stream (til makosi took kinga aside) and just before that craig was in the pool again asking anthony to snog him about 20 times

"ok just say the words 'craig will you snog me?' and i'll stop asking"

over and over again. it ended with ant throwing another huge strop on craig and him crying "you hate me you fucking hate me".

what's anthony getting out of all this?

jed_ (jed), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 20:56 (twenty years ago)

dahlin (dahlin), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 20:59 (twenty years ago)

I think the main thing is it's just late at night when Craig's drunk (or overtired ha ha) that he gets all weird with Anthony. I guess Anthony still enjoys larking about with him during the day.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 20:59 (twenty years ago)

This story didn't make sense when I read it this afternoon, but now...well, jeez, yeah.

http://bigbrother.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds8409.html

The house woke up to the sound of popping corks

Cough.

JimD (JimD), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 20:59 (twenty years ago)

Craig's hysterical, paranoid outbursts were just as shocking as Kinga's performance, I think. And I'm not easily shocked by Craig anymore. The two being shown so close together made it such a bizarro watch.

Who thinks Craig puts it on to get Anthony's attention/hugs and who thinks he genuinely feels persecuted?

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 21:04 (twenty years ago)

Well, I suspect Craig is having a real, proper feltzian breakdown actually, and should probably be taken out of the house for his own good. But they probably wouldn't do that, and even if they tried he probably wouldn't let them.

JimD (JimD), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 21:06 (twenty years ago)

it's a combination of both - he does it for attention but i think he may well be clinically paranoid the way he twists every incident into a conspiracy against him.

jed_ (jed), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 21:06 (twenty years ago)

it can be both, in that any paranoia cultivated by the larger environment will play itself out when he is otherwise looking for attention

Britain's Jauntiest Shepherd (Alan), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 21:09 (twenty years ago)

What makes Craig so horrifying is that...well, he takes those things we all momentarily think when at our most paranoid and drunk, and not only doesn't stop himself thinking them because they are mad but actually SAYS THEM OUT LOUD. And magnifies them to the point where they are his entire personality.

I mean, he's heading (hopefully) straight for the mother of all morning afters, "oh god did I really say that OUT LOUD to HIM" for not just last night but his WHOLE LIFE.

The Lex (The Lex), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 21:09 (twenty years ago)

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 21:23 (twenty years ago)

gosh: with such an intelligent and wonderful father, how on earth did craig end up such a fucked-up wreck?

that is such a lie!!

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 2 August 2005 22:13 (twenty years ago)

That screen grab is perfect. I mean, with that face Anthony managed to express what we all must have been feeling at that moment, and the ensuing implication that he really is the in-house representative of the great british public might just secure a win for him.

"try to see [Craig] as an 8-year-old only child showing off in front of the children he wants to impress."

I do, that's exactly what I see: a 20 year old man behaving like an 8-year-old only child showing off in front of the children he wants to impress.

Actually, in this respect, he's very much like Kemal and Kinga.

"So how do you guys think they'll handle Craig's eviction interview? Considering how paranoid and thin-skinned he is, clearly if they show him an accurate representation of how he's been portrayed throughout the series it will absolutely break him. Will they briefly gloss over the bad stuff and then just show him 20 minutes of Happy Craig Having Fun to brighten him up?"

What ever they show him during his eviction interview, he's inevitably going to be confronted with how he's behaved and how that behaviour's been portrayed at some point. What then?

This man supposedly employs people - (why) has no-one interviewed any of them yet, to see what they think of their boss?

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 3 August 2005 09:27 (twenty years ago)

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 3 August 2005 09:36 (twenty years ago)

xpost Because Craig would probably sack them when he finds out they 'went behind his back' or summat?

N_RQ, Wednesday, 3 August 2005 09:40 (twenty years ago)

Has anyone else noticed that according to Digital Spy you can apparently get better odds on "Any Other" to win than you can for Craig, Dereke or Kinga.

In fact 10/1 seems like pretty good odds for an outsider.... I think I'm going to put a fiver on Mark Grout.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 3 August 2005 09:41 (twenty years ago)

I have to somehow stop my brain from processing that information suzy.

C J (C J), Wednesday, 3 August 2005 09:42 (twenty years ago)

(why) has no-one interviewed any of them yet

the mag that spoke to craig's dad also spoke to the 19-year-old who's running the salon in craig's absence (apparently she started there as a saturday girl six months ago, which gives you some idea of how this top-flight hair studio operates). "he's great," she said, glassy-eyed.

there was also an interview with craig's best friend, who was the spit of lesley.

perhaps i am a bit anal about this.

i'm so glad kinga wasn't.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Wednesday, 3 August 2005 09:43 (twenty years ago)

i wonder if kinga will tell the housemates that london has been bombed and 2000 armed police are patrolling the streets

What makes you think she noticed? I haven't been following tabloid reaction to Kinga but I'm guessing that she won't be getting anything like the vilification Jade Goody suffered from because she isn't from Bermondsey and, when she isn't shrieking/ singing/ growling(??!??), she's fairly posh.

Vicious Cop Kills Gentle Fool (Dada), Thursday, 4 August 2005 09:20 (twenty years ago)

i was writing last night, thought i'd take a break and turned the telly on at the worst moment possible. i haven't seen any of this show for over a month and needless to say i am with mark lawson. i felt positively queasy after i realised what was going on...

stelf)xxxx, Thursday, 4 August 2005 09:44 (twenty years ago)

I don't think it's actually so much to do with Kinga's accent / class / background as it is to do with the fact that, "when she isn't shrieking / singing / growling" (or indeed getting horribly drunk and (simulating?) masturbating with an empty wine bottle in the middle of the lawn!), I don't think Kinga's actually as stupid / uneducated as her behaviour might at first glance seem to suggest - and as far as I'm aware she hasn't actually said anything that's made her look anything like as stupid / ignorant / uneducated as Jade Goody or even indeed Helen "I Like Blinking I Do" Adams.

Far, far more emotionally and socially retarded than either of them, obviously - but not as stupid / ignorant / uneducated.

Also, when it comes to being vilified by the gp, Kinga's going to benefit enormously from the facts that:
(a) vile, abhorrent repellant and deplorable 'though her behaviour clearly is, it's still being eclipsed in every possible respect by Craig's;
(b) I don't believe the gp have got a huge amount of sympathy for (m)any of the remaining housemates - so Kinga making their lives a misery isn't going to bother people in the same way that it might if people were empathising with those houselmates (maybe if Kinga were to start pissing Anthony off in a major way this might happen, but once again at the moment she's being totally eclipsed in this respect by Craig).

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Thursday, 4 August 2005 09:47 (twenty years ago)

Being uneducated and being stupid not being equivalents of course. Makosi had never heard of John Wayne after all.

(x-post)

Bearing in mind what I've gathered about Makosi's background, I'd be inclined to think of her not knowing John Wayne (in the nicest possible way) as merely being ignorance (which is another different thing again) rather than evidence of either stupidity or lack of education.

By comparison, Derek is highly educated and not remotely stupid; but is nevertheless more than capable of being ignorant - and not in a good way either....

Derek has claimed that he will "walk straight past" Davina when he is evicted.

The political strategist, who has previously admitted ignorance over the show's long running host, is planning the shun in protest at his choice of publicity photo.

"Would you really not do your interview with Davina?" asked a shocked Craig as Derek explained his plot.

"I would not, just you wait and see!" Derek insisted. "I would walk straight past, ask where Clive (chauffeur) is and get in the car. You watch anybody try and stop me. Don't get on the wrong side of me, that's not a good idea!"

"I couldn't bypass Davina," Craig decided but Derek remained defiant that he would be able to execute his plan, adding: "Well since I don't recognise her anyway it would be very easy to do."

JimD (JimD), Thursday, 4 August 2005 10:28 (twenty years ago)

"What's ignorant about that?"

I consider Derek's wilful refusal to leave the safely cossetted world that he inhabites by virtue of his wealth and consequently elevated socially position; and to either attempt to live in or come to terms with the real world; to be evidence of nothing other than arrogance and ignorance.

He has thus far, to my knowledge, proudly proclaimed his ignorance of McDonald's, doner kebabs and now Davina McCall - all of them, lest we forget, very real causes of misery and suffering, every day for a huge proportion of ordinary people in this country - as if this were some sort of achievement to be boasted about as proof of his inherent superiority over the common herd....

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Thursday, 4 August 2005 10:28 (twenty years ago)

That's not to say I won't be clapping and cheering him wildly if he does walk straight past Davina and refuse to do the interview with her 'though.

Errrrrrrrrrrr, I don't know if you've noticed but he's been in the Big Brother house for, what, 12 weeks now? That sounded a bit like an attack on elitism, I'm all in favour of elites myself!

Vicious Cop Kills Gentle Fool (Dada), Thursday, 4 August 2005 10:35 (twenty years ago)

There's a world of difference between genuine elitism based on actual meaningful achievement and assumed elitism based on arrogance and ignorance.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Thursday, 4 August 2005 11:24 (twenty years ago)

On the subject of stupidity, I caught a bit of the live feed the other night with Derek chairing another of his little quiz games. He asked Kinga & Anthony to name 5 authors in 30 seconds (no specification on genre or period or anything, that's 5 people in the history of mankind who've ever written a book)and between them they could only come up with three: Stephen King, Ronald (sic) Dahl and one other who I didn't hear. Then it was Craig & Makosi's turn to name 5 classical composers in 30 seconds. Craig did OK in the first few seconds naming Mozart, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky but then got stuck and could only offer Beethoven for a second time, claiming he should have half a point for getting 4. Makosi's contribution? Pavarotti.

Bumchowser (Bumchowser), Thursday, 4 August 2005 11:26 (twenty years ago)

Vicious Cop Kills Gentle Fool (Dada), Thursday, 4 August 2005 11:29 (twenty years ago)

But the problem with elitism isn't selecting on meaningful achievement, it's assuming that meaningful achievement in one area is translatable to others.

But, what is it, does no-one watch films anymore or something?

Vicious Cop Kills Gentle Fool (Dada), Thursday, 4 August 2005 13:50 (twenty years ago)

Let's see if we can clear this up once and for all:

"Arguably the most popular — and certainly the busiest — movie leading man in Hollywood history, John Wayne entered the film business while working as a laborer on the Fox lot during summer vacations from U.S.C., which he attended on a football scholarship. He met and was befriended by John Ford, a young director who was beginning to make a name for himself in action films, comedies, and dramas. Wayne was cast in small roles in Ford's late-'20s films, occasionally under the name Duke Morrison. It was Ford who recommended Wayne to director Raoul Walsh for the male lead in the 1930 epic Western The Big Trail, and, although it was a failure at the box office, the movie showed Wayne's potential as a leading man. During the next nine years, be busied himself in a multitude of B-Westerns and serials — most notably Shadow of the Eagle and The Three Mesquiteers series — in between occasional bit parts in larger features such as Warner Bros.' Baby Face, starring Barbara Stanwyck. But it was in action roles that Wayne excelled, exuding a warm and imposing manliness onscreen to which both men and women could respond.
In 1939, Ford cast Wayne as the Ringo Kid in the adventure Stagecoach, a brilliant Western of modest scale but tremendous power (and incalculable importance to the genre), and the actor finally showed what he could do. Wayne nearly stole a picture filled with Oscar-caliber performances, and his career was made. He starred in most of Ford's subsequent major films, whether Westerns (Fort Apache [1948], She Wore a Yellow Ribbon [1949], Rio Grande [1950], The Searchers [1956]); war pictures (They Were Expendable [1945]); or serious dramas (The Quiet Man [1952], in which Wayne also directed some of the action sequences). He also starred in numerous movies for other directors, including several extremely popular World War II thrillers (Flying Tigers [1942], Back to Bataan [1945], Fighting Seabees [1944], Sands of Iwo Jima [1949]); costume action films (Reap the Wild Wind [1942], Wake of the Red Witch [1949]); and Westerns (Red River [1948]). His box-office popularity rose steadily through the 1940s, and by the beginning of the 1950s he'd also begun producing movies through his company Wayne-Fellowes, later Batjac, in association with his sons Michael and Patrick (who also became an actor). Most of these films were extremely successful, and included such titles as Angel and the Badman (1947), Island in the Sky (1953), The High and the Mighty (1954), and Hondo (1953). The 1958 Western Rio Bravo, directed by Howard Hawks, proved so popular that it was remade by Hawks and Wayne twice, once as El Dorado and later as Rio Lobo. At the end of the 1950s, Wayne began taking on bigger films, most notably The Alamo (1960), which he produced and directed, as well as starred in. It was well received but had to be cut to sustain any box-office success (the film was restored to full length in 1992).

During the early '60s, concerned over the growing liberal slant in American politics, Wayne emerged as a spokesman for conservative causes, especially support for America's role in Vietnam, which put him at odds with a new generation of journalists and film critics. Coupled with his advancing age, and a seeming tendency to overact, he became a target for liberals and leftists. However, his movies remained popular. McLintock!, which, despite well-articulated statements against racism and the mistreatment of Native Americans, and in support of environmentalism, seemed to confirm the left's worst fears, but also earned more than ten million dollars and made the list of top-grossing films of 1963-1964. Virtually all of his subsequent movies, including the pro-Vietnam War drama The Green Berets (1968), were very popular with audiences, but not with critics. Further controversy erupted with the release of The Cowboys, which outraged liberals with its seeming justification of violence as a solution to lawlessness, but it was successful enough to generate a short-lived television series.

Amid all of the shouting and agonizing over his politics, Wayne won an Oscar for his role as marshal Rooster Cogburn in True Grit, a part that he later reprised in a sequel. Wayne weathered the Vietnam War, but, by then, time had become his enemy. His action films saw him working alongside increasingly younger co-stars, and the decline in popularity of the Western ended up putting him into awkward contemporary action films like McQ (1974). Following his final film, The Shootist (1976) — possibly his best Western since The Searchers — the news that Wayne was stricken ill with cancer (which eventually took his life in 1979) wiped the slate clean, and his support for the Panama Canal Treaty at the end of the 1970s belatedly made him a hero for the left.

Wayne finished his life honored by the film community, the U.S. Congress, and the American people as had no actor before or since. He remains among the most popular actors of his generation, as evidenced by the fact that McLintock! jumped into the Top 20 selling video cassette releases when it was released by MPI Home Video during the spring of 1993, almost 30 years after it was made."

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 4 August 2005 14:40 (twenty years ago)

"madonna has never actually seen a james dean film"

I would humbly and respectfully suggest that that's almost certainly complete and utter bollocks.

Madonna's in her mid-late 40's; she's American; she's clearly hugely interested in iconography, film imagery and general US culture; she's been married to a film actor (Sean Penn) and a film director (Guy Richie); and she has for many years had at very least pretensions to being an actress herself.

The suggestion that she might conceivably not have seen East Of Eden, Rebel Without A Cause or Giant is absolutely preposterous.

"it is a common name!

one of the results on the first page isn't even him."

Yeah, and one of the others is about the fuckin' airport that was named after this complete and utter nonentity, whose name is familiar only to obsessive fans of a niche genre.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Thursday, 4 August 2005 15:00 (twenty years ago)

Dom told me about the airport on Sunday, I think I said it must have been because he was more famous in America, like the Dave Matthews Band.

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 4 August 2005 15:03 (twenty years ago)

john fuckin' WAIN, you guys

seriously: i remember reading a poem by wain about a german soldier in WW2 who is seconds from being discovered and killed. if anyone can tell me the title, i'll owe them a life debt.

James Dean = pretty boy. John 'THE DUKE' Wayne = a real man! (and better actor, but so what).

The Dook's silhouette in the doorway in The Searchers is every bit as iconographic as Dean on the “Boulevard of Broken Dreams" or whatever sappy nonsense it is. And he appeared in almost as many famous war films as he did westerns.
Donovan’s Reef and True Grit are, I would say, his two most enjoyable movies.

Vicious Cop Kills Gentle Fool (Dada), Thursday, 4 August 2005 15:17 (twenty years ago)

Surely you've heard the legendary anecdote about The Greatest Story Ever Told?

Wayne had one line in that movie, at the end, when he delivered the words, "Truly this was the Son of God." Director George Stevens, who reminded him that he was talking about Jesus and said, "You've got to deliver the line with a little more awe." So on the next take, John Wayne said, "Aw, truly this was the Son of God."

I spent an entire Christmas smoking cigars with my Dad and watching a box set of Wayne westerns. My Mum got fed up so we let her watch The Quiet Man.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 4 August 2005 15:19 (twenty years ago)

It gives us a vital insight into the mind of someone who doesn't know who John Wayne is.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Thursday, 4 August 2005 15:20 (twenty years ago)

Derek and Eugene were the only two who could be arsed trying to pass the task.

Still, at least only one of them will have to struggle on 'basic rations' in the final week.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Friday, 5 August 2005 09:46 (twenty years ago)

Never mind, something tells me that those "basic rations" will be enhanced by the regular addition of substantial amounts of alcohol on the very flimsiest of pretexts.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Friday, 5 August 2005 09:54 (twenty years ago)

It's been farcical this year, "basic rations" has meant nothing. The HMs have been given food whenever they wanted it, unlike previous years when they lived on porridge for days.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Friday, 5 August 2005 10:00 (twenty years ago)

Unfortunately if you'd given this lot 7 days rations of porridge on day 1, most of them would have eaten their first 4 days rations and thrown their 5th 6th and 7th days rations all over themselves, each other, the walls, furniture and carpet before the end of the first day.

They would then have spent the rest of the week whining and crying to Big Brother that they didn't have any food and this wasn't fair, and attempting to steal Derek and Roberto's shares of the rations that those housemates had sensibly and carefully put aside for themselves for the rest of the week, and screaming at those housemates that they were being unfair and greedy and selfish when they attempted to protest about this.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Friday, 5 August 2005 10:17 (twenty years ago)

that's why it's good tv, sometimes.

N_RQ, Friday, 5 August 2005 10:20 (twenty years ago)

Craig could have suckled Anthony for nourishment.

Somebody on DS got it right, several of the HMs this year have endured their time in the house rather than tried to enjoy it, seeing it only as a necessary evil on the way to their contract with Heat magazine.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Friday, 5 August 2005 10:21 (twenty years ago)

Craig would have made Anthony's porridge for him, but then accidentally spilled it all down him, thus necessitating that Craig should spend then next two days on his knees at Anthony's feet painstakingly licking it all off.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Friday, 5 August 2005 10:28 (twenty years ago)

what a cunt Makosi is. i was just watching a bit of the live feed while i was at my mums. Makosi was looking over the delivery list for the shopping and Eugene asks her how much milk they had ordered this week.

M: There's enough milk for the week
E: how much did they deliver?
M: i told you we had enough milk for the week
E: yes thats ok - i'm sure there's enough but how much in actual quantity was there in pints?
M: Eugene i told you there was enough milk to last - it's not me who drinks all the milk,,,

and so on

she's my least favourite housemate by far now.

jed_ (jed), Friday, 5 August 2005 12:53 (twenty years ago)

i've basically come to the point where anthony of all people is the only hm i could imagine spending more than two minutes with.

N_RQ, Friday, 5 August 2005 12:56 (twenty years ago)

how is your mum these days, jed?

dahlin (dahlin), Friday, 5 August 2005 12:58 (twenty years ago)

I really disliked Anthony at first, cos of the Maxwell thing, but now I think he or Eugene should win it.

beanz (beanz), Friday, 5 August 2005 13:16 (twenty years ago)

sadly, i agree ... although i'm not even sure i can bring myself to back eugene any more, despite my initial support. he's such a wet end.

N_RQ sums it up beautifully above.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Friday, 5 August 2005 13:26 (twenty years ago)

And Eugene did display some strange judgement of character by voting to save Craig iirc. But he's gentle, even if he's not good tv. I suspect he'd seem better if they put in more of him telling stories into the nightly programme.

beanz (beanz), Friday, 5 August 2005 13:29 (twenty years ago)

Makosi was fucking awful last night going on at Eugene about the bin, then going mental about him supposedly talking about her behind her back, then spending HOURS bitching about everyone behind their backs.

I think I want Kinga to win. It would show what a fucking waste of space all the other housemates have been if someone can come in the week before and win it!

Colonel Poo (Colonel Poo), Friday, 5 August 2005 13:31 (twenty years ago)

haha, dahlin, thanks for asking! she's pretty good, had a hip operation recently and has just about recovered from it. she's getting out and about on her own a bit. she was driving me crazy with mobile phone confusion though, you know what mums are like. recently we went out for a meal and she put her "mobile phone" on the table at the restaurant and i did a double take before realising it was the TV remote control.

jed_ (jed), Friday, 5 August 2005 13:33 (twenty years ago)

Anthony deserves it. The shit he's had to put up with from that fuckwad needs some kind of recognition and he's arguably the least offensive of the lot.

Penelope_111 (Penelope_111), Friday, 5 August 2005 13:34 (twenty years ago)

I adore Big Brother but, I'm sorry to admit, this time round I have stopped caring. I have lost interest in them all, something which hasn't happened in previous years. I'm not sure where this year fits in Tom's schema
(lively start -> we find out their inner dullness, or
dull start -> we find out their inner weirdness)
because it's been kind of dull the whole way through, albeit a kind of dull veined through with bitching and spite.

For me the final was Science vs Maxwell really.

Mark G, Friday, 5 August 2005 15:05 (twenty years ago)

Makosi has thought she'll win ever since the secret garden thing and Saskia's eviction. I can't see her winning. I can see her leaving before Craig, Anthony or Kinga though.

Mark you don't care, you just want to let us know you're in Spain, right? :)

AdrianB (AdrianB), Friday, 5 August 2005 20:21 (twenty years ago)

I reckon Derek was booed noticeably less than any other housemate this series.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Friday, 5 August 2005 20:32 (twenty years ago)

Eugene's tears at Derek's eviction was the most touching thing I have ever seen on BB!

I never liked Derek during his tenure, but thought he was remarkably good tonight.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Friday, 5 August 2005 20:33 (twenty years ago)

Can any of you guys solve an argument for me? I don't think that the housemates were told about the bombings in London, but my friend thinks that they must have been. Can't seem to google it (too many hits for Big Brother and London bombings), so please help...

emil.y (emil.y), Friday, 5 August 2005 20:38 (twenty years ago)

Davina is useless. I can't believe I use to masturbate over her as a nipster. She kind of negates the whole show for me; I want the housemates to be called out on their awfulness not celebrated for their hilarious antics, cos let's face it, none of them are in the least bit funny. I basically just don't want Craig's cuntishness to go unpunished.

coral/coral/coral, Friday, 5 August 2005 20:41 (twenty years ago)

Although she did make a good point about the public hating all of the housemates, it's only really between Eugene and Anthony now isn't it?

coral/coral/coral, Friday, 5 August 2005 20:42 (twenty years ago)

I remember them explicitly stating at one point that they had checked with the housemates' families and friends, who were all okay, and had decided not to tell them at that time. I've seen no hint since that they have been told.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 5 August 2005 20:44 (twenty years ago)

They decided not to tell them until they got out. Science did an interview in New Nation which confirmed this.

suzy (suzy), Friday, 5 August 2005 20:44 (twenty years ago)

yes, and while i agree with enrique about anthony being the one i could spend any time with without pulling my hair out, i think eugene should win.

dahlin (dahlin), Saturday, 6 August 2005 00:49 (twenty years ago)

jed_ (jed), Saturday, 6 August 2005 00:55 (twenty years ago)

Ooh ooh ooh, that was exciting! So did anything happen next?

I can't believe I use to masturbate over her as a nipster

Ah come on, course you can. She's still a right hottster, despite everything.

JimD (JimD), Saturday, 6 August 2005 01:25 (twenty years ago)

what did she do before bb?

dahlin (dahlin), Saturday, 6 August 2005 01:27 (twenty years ago)

That mid 90s late night gang dating show that I've forgotten the name of. I faniced her then too.

What happened next is this:

ie not much really.

JimD (JimD), Saturday, 6 August 2005 01:30 (twenty years ago)

God's gift! That's what it was called.

JimD (JimD), Saturday, 6 August 2005 01:32 (twenty years ago)

Indeed. I'm not proud. I was at uni at the time so being up at 2am watching shite on the telly was par for the course, but I was interested to see Davina's rise through the ranks through the late 90s!

Colonel Poo (Colonel Poo), Saturday, 6 August 2005 01:35 (twenty years ago)

Well, me too. Anyway, stop encouraging me. I'm trying to stop fancying Davina cos she's too similar to my ex and continuing to fancy my ex does me no good at all.

But still...sigh.

JimD (JimD), Saturday, 6 August 2005 01:39 (twenty years ago)

My friend's fiancee is the spitting image of her. Luckily I never actually had a crush on her!

JimD (JimD), Saturday, 6 August 2005 01:50 (twenty years ago)

They're getting married in September, but should that happen, I'll give you her number!

Colonel Poo (Colonel Poo), Saturday, 6 August 2005 01:53 (twenty years ago)

Hooray. For once!

Mark g, Saturday, 6 August 2005 05:50 (twenty years ago)
