Well, since the Oct thread showed me in preparation for EUROPEAN QUIZZING ACTION, here's the Norwegian team in Tallinn, with the FANTASTIC banner made for us (without us knowing) by Vålerenga football fans at the pub where we regularly quiz. I'm 2nd left.

Norway were knocked out in the preliminaries sadly, by England, Belgium, Estonia and a rest-of-Europe team. But at least we beat Wales. And Finland.

Well we were four and got 25, so yes absolutely! And these quizzes are fucking hard – a solid weekend of them (as we had in Estonia) are like repeated punches to the face (boof! boof! boof!), but still we love them haha!

The q's for the international semifinals (Belgium beat Estonia, England beat "rest of Europe") and final (Belgium beat England) are also online btw – note that the answers there come immediately after each question.

Actually I was only DJing there, but since the band didn't have anyone else to mix them, the job kinda fell to me. I don't know shit about band mixing though, so hold on to your pants Kate. :)

I have to say that it was the best DJ gig I've ever had though, even if it lasted for almost seven hours. During the last couple of hours the people still on the dancefloor didn't care anymore whether I was playing some pop hits or not, so I managed to move from 50 Cent to Leonard Cohen to Dave Brubeck to the Mary Poppins soundtrack, and they just kept on dancing.

Andrew, I think that I do know who you're talking about. My step-brother and I used to explore the train bridge over in Riverfront Park, back before the River Market was installed and trains still winded their way around down there. Of course, that one's locked down now as well.

My favorite anecdote about the library's opening was Gee Dubz looking at the river and wondering aloud to somebody about the possibility of an enemy submarine infiltrating the library's perimeter (despite the locks and dams that bookend the city.)

-the TSA guys were out in force with their dogs on wednesday. They wouldn't let me play with any of their dogs. One lady on the return flight had a sleepy basset puppy sticking its head out of her carry-on.

my favorite thing about the pic is the right triangle formed by the ceiling light, sean's head, and the reflected light on the top of the 8-ball.

Ha, Carey I was photographed at some bar by these Turkish girls for some magazine. I was wearing a grey pinstripe blazer, blue jeans with a huge bike tread stain on them, a black thermal shirt, teal tshirt hanging out, olive belt, olive gloves, orange-red/white shoes and a green/navy/teal scarf. And a NEON YELLOW bag. Yikes.
