I'm quite happy now since we've been having lots of sex and getting along great and it seems like the most natural thing in the world, but there have been times (usually in the dead of winter, it seems) when the process of initiating sex seems like an insurmountable wall. Also, I suffer badly from depression and am in kind of a very low patch, so I don't feel like talking or even thinking about it too much. I am surprised by those survey figures, but I don't know where my 4/wk comes from. Obviously a survey of all married couples includes some very old people, so I'm not sure it's quite what people here have in mind for a meaningful average. Greg, I don't think I am a very jealous person in any area. I do get bad feelings when someone who, as far as I am aware and have been told, cares for me at some particular level, and does things that suggest otherwise. This might be friends not inviting me along when I thought I would have made that selection for instance, and I kind of have jealous feelings about that sort of thing. Sexual jealousy could come into that too. This is a made-up example, but for instance if my girlfriend in one of those open relationships said she wouldn't have a threesome with me and another woman, and then I found out that she'd gone off with someone else and done just that, I would feel bad - this is because these things seem a very direct message about how the other people view me, and are happy to offer more to others. I don't know if my explanation is at all clear here, or if you can see the distinction from the more normal kind of sexual jealousy.

Also, thank you Greg and Kelsey. It does me good to hear things like that.

We didn't have sex Tuesday cos my girlfriend was working and I was playing football. While playing football I sprained ligaments in my left knee, which meant I had Wednesday off as I couldn't really walk. Needless to say, we didn't have sex Wednesday either. 5 months. it's starting to upset my body a little, but it is a good thing because I broke up with my girl 7 months ago and the sex was with her anyway - a baaaaaaaaaaaaad idea that was.

my self-confidence, which was very high last January, is in the toilet at the moment and I can barely look people in the eye much less ask them if they wanted to siphon out my juices....
