I need recommendations on truly horribly bad songs.
So far I have thought of:

Baha men - Who let the dogs out?
Metallica & Ja rule - We did it again

Help me realise this horrendous project.!

Ma So Chist, Tuesday, 16 November 2004 15:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Baha Men isn't so bad, replace with Chris De Burgh's 'A Spaceman Came Travelling'

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 15:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Myself and a friend had a competition to do this years ago - I won with the simple choice of opening with the live version of Jordan, Minnesota by Big Black from Pigpile. It sends with about 8 minutes of feedback. Not a great start for the listener.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 15:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Chris De Burgh's 'A Spaceman Came Travelling' isn't so bad either, replace it with Madonna's "American Pie"

Ol' Dirty Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 15:41 (twenty-one years ago)

lots of natalie merchant

peter smith (plsmith), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 15:42 (twenty-one years ago)

The Cranberries - ZOMBIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ol' Dirty Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I've been to paradise (but I've never been to me) by Charlene
Echo beach by martha and the muffins

two worst songs ever.

king of the eyesores (papa november), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 15:46 (twenty-one years ago)

If you want real outre-DeBurgh I recommend Brazil. Shit samba that borders on racism it's so generic and with the added punch that he only wrote it as his previous album did unexpectedly well over there.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 15:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Dreadlock Holiday.

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 15:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually - I have an ongoing MP3 folder full of filth, let me browse . .

Hmmmm. Recordings of Billy Idol ringtones are pretty bad
Happy Hardcore versions of things - Scottish national anthem, Knight Rider theme etc.
The Momus-sponsored Mr. Swensson is pretty fucking bad
Right Said Fred "You're My Mate"
Something off the Teen Wolf soundtrack is probably a good bet too.

Bernard the Butler (Lynskey), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 15:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Anything by Hue & Cry

Ol' Dirty Dadaismus (Dada), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Martha + Muffins don't need to be anywhere near this thread.

How about the song Wahlberg sings in Boogie Nights?

Johnny Fever (johnny fever), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:04 (twenty-one years ago)

RUNAWAY FUCKING TRAIN

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Shove in "Brown-Eye Girl" by Van Morisson. Plus seven songs off of Sleeper's "Smart"

dog latin (dog latin), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:08 (twenty-one years ago)

that Charlene track is awesome, if only for allowing years of hypermelodramatic drag performances (why i bought the 45 of this at such a young and tender age i'll never know)

my vote goes for that horrid mousse t/tom jones collab
and "under the bridge"

rentboy (rentboy), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Oasis - Songbird (Liam is shit)
Blur - the second B-side on 'End Of A Century'
Cranberries - Zombie (again)
Wet Wet Wet - Love Is All Around ("gotta keep it movin'")
Mr Blobby - Mr Blobby (worst UK Number One ever
Grease Megamix
Joseph Megamix
Jack Mix II
Jack Mix III
Jive Bunny (all of it)

Graeme (Graeme), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:31 (twenty-one years ago)

MC Brains - "Oochie Coochie"

Aiiieeee!!!!! I actually have this song on a K-Tel-style rap compilation. It's like all the worst elements of the New Jack Swing era distilled into one lump of poison. See also: R. Kelly & Public Announcement, "She's Got That Vibe".

Tantrum The Cat (Tantrum The Cat), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 16:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Also, Madness?

Dancing in the Moonlight..Toploader
Final Countdown...Europe

Mog otm re 4 non Blondes 'What's up?'. God that was such a disgusting song

Lairy Hair (hullcity), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 17:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Unrest - "Wharton Hockey Club"

And either "I Eat Cannibals" or "Don't Put Another Dime In The Jukebox", two of the most difficult 80's songs to sit through.

Also, never underestimate the annoyance factor of including a song from a hideously recorded bootleg.

zaxxon25 (zaxxon25), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 17:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I loved em to bits but you can't go wrong with a bit of Flipper sandwiched in there.

Perhaps a live version of 'Sexbomb'?

Lairy Hair (hullcity), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 17:24 (twenty-one years ago)

STEREOPHONICS

pick any song

The Lex (The Lex), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 17:24 (twenty-one years ago)

'I Believe My Heart'.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 17:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Intersperse every other song with 'Mother' off Synchronicity.

NickB (NickB), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 17:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I have not heard that many of the suggestions but I can tell you that "Runaway train" and the 4 non blond song "What's up?" are both far too good for this mix tape.

I have to take a listen to the Oasis track that Liam wrote.

Ma So Chist, Tuesday, 16 November 2004 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Anything by Madhouse (they were a band who exclusively did house versions of Madonna tunes, for anyone fortunate enough never to have heard of them)

Wooden (Wooden), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 17:45 (twenty-one years ago)

"what's up" by 4 non blondes should be the first track

dan (dan), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Mescalinum United - "Symphonies Of Steel (Part One)"

now availabe at blfc.

miccio (miccio), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:07 (twenty-one years ago)

one of those Ja Rule & Jen Lopez collabs should be included.

billstevejim, Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

gotta have some new model army on there

dan (dan), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:16 (twenty-one years ago)

911's cover of 'Private Number'. 911 don't get enough hate these days.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Cha Cha Slide.

Wooden (Wooden), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Do you want bad as in just plain awful, dull, uninspired, generic, or do you want OMGWTFROFLMAO awful?

Hurting (Hurting), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:22 (twenty-one years ago)

'Hero'. Bay-beh.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Jimmy Buffett - "Why Don't We Get Drunk" and/or "Margaritaville"
The Beach Boys - "Kokomo"

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd like to recommend the worst single of 2004 thus far -- the song with the "Slo motion fo' meh" chorus (Nelly? Juvenile?)

Hurting (Hurting), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Anything from this:

http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000160M8I.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

I suggest either the Rikishi or Trish Stratus songs for maximum hilarity and most grevious offenses to good taste.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:34 (twenty-one years ago)

"What's Up?" is awesome. "Mother" is a good choice.

The Good Dr. Bill (Andrew Unterberger), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:41 (twenty-one years ago)

That "I'm Going Hungry" song. Temple of the Dog?

Nemo (JND), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:45 (twenty-one years ago)

David Bowie - Waterloo Sunset (live)
Foo Fighters - Time Like These

miccio (miccio), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Alice In Chains - Heaven Beside You

What's so wrong with this song? I mean, it's not great, but it's certainly better than the entirety of Good Charlotte's catalog.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:56 (twenty-one years ago)

whatever, pops.

they need to be played in order for the correct cumulative effect

miccio (miccio), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:57 (twenty-one years ago)

"Karma Chameleon" by Culture Club.
"Dirty Diana" by Michael Jackson

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:57 (twenty-one years ago)

"Arms Wide Open" by Creed

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

patrick swayze, 'she's like the wind'

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Alex is talking about Donna Lewis -- "I Love You Always Forever" ... that's a great song! I'm still broken up about it not placing in the OMGWTFLOL poll.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

... that's a great song!

Oh please.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:59 (twenty-one years ago)

eddie murphy, 'boogie in your butt'

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 18:59 (twenty-one years ago)

"Boogie in Your Butt" is at least mildly amusing --- a worse one would be "Whatzupwitu" by Eddie Murphy & Michael Jackson

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 19:01 (twenty-one years ago)

"Cotton Eye Joe" by whomever it was.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 19:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Ahem! Aren't you forgetting someone?

Michael Bolton! (JND), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 19:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes! How could we forget Curtis Stigers? 'I Wonder Why', that'll probably do.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 19:25 (twenty-one years ago)

"The Stonk" by Hale and Pace

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 19:38 (twenty-one years ago)

You obviously need that new Nitty song, with its chorus girls shouting "me love you long time!!!" and its insane out of date upbeat wack rhythm.

Mediawhore, Tuesday, 16 November 2004 19:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Although I like it, Rotterdam Termination Source - "Poing" would be a great addition to this mix.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 19:57 (twenty-one years ago)

That "I'm Going Hungry" song. Temple of the Dog?
- That Eamon song about not wanting you back.
- Anything/everything by Color Me Badd

I forget her name, but whomever that Minnie Mouse-voiced woman who sang "I love you Always Forever"...Christ that makes me want to destroy the Earth.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Especially "I Love You Always Forever" (and MiR, it did place in the 70s or so).

Although I like it, Rotterdam Termination Source - "Poing" would be a great addition to this mix.

Hahhahaha. Absolutely.

The Good Dr. Bill (Andrew Unterberger), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:16 (twenty-one years ago)

In fact, as well as Hale and Pace, why not every British "comedy" song ever? "N-n-nineteen not out" - The Commentators, "Loadsamoney" - Harry Enfield, "Fandabedozi" - The Krankies.

Real answer = Scooter "The Logical Song"

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:26 (twenty-one years ago)

It needs the theme music from Schindler's List sandwiched between "Vindaloo" and some of the R&B music Fabio recorded. Sequencing is important!

Mediawhore, Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:32 (twenty-one years ago)

"Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins

Some 90's Elton John or maybe The One

Some Red Hot Chili Peppers

"Wild Women of Wongo" by the Tubes (I admit to enjoying this, but it is incredibly annoying)

"Rosta Mon" or "I Love You", the less remembered Vanilla Ice- or just go for the gag put "Havin a Roni" on there

that Missy Elliott "Getcher Freak On" song

some John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, 70's mush

"Cat's in the cradle" as covered by Ugly Kid Joe

seedy poops in the woods (Queen Electric Butt Prober BZZ), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:41 (twenty-one years ago)

David Hasselhoff is guaranteed at least one song.

Ma So Chist, Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:46 (twenty-one years ago)

As is Shatner.

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Also Rolf Harris covering "Stairway to Heaven".

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Big Mountain's cover of "Ooh Baby I Love Your Way."

Nemo (JND), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:49 (twenty-one years ago)

"HOT DOG! JUM PING FROG! AL BU QUER-QUE!"

(this may only work if listened to in municipal shopping centre on pre-1980's equipment)

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:49 (twenty-one years ago)

311 "come original" DEFINITE INCLUSION OH MY GOD.

bill neil (inabillity), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:49 (twenty-one years ago)

"HOT DOG! JUM PING FROG! AL BU QUER-QUE!"

Now, why does that ring a bell?

Tantrum The Cat (Tantrum The Cat), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Clearly, the end of this mixtape would have to be Styx's "Heavy Metal Poisoning" from Kilroy Was Here.

*whistles*

donut bitch (donut), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:55 (twenty-one years ago)

That Katie Fucking Melua song where she sings "Feeling 22, Acting 17"

Worst. Lyric. Ever.

noodle vague (noodle vague), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 20:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Rednex do cotton eye joe. I'm only writing that because
REDNEX is really fun to say and to type.
What about the Square Dance Rap? does anyone remember that?
That song "Power Windows." I don't know who did it.

Trip Maker (Sean Witzman), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 21:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Joshua Kadison is the guy that did "Jessie," right?

Jessie, Jessie, you could sell any dream to me...

miccio (miccio), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 21:29 (twenty-one years ago)

"Power Windows" = Rush, no?

Nemo (JND), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 21:36 (twenty-one years ago)

"Power Windows" was a minor hit from 1991 or thereabouts by some Bon Jovi discovery, if memory serves ... forgettable track.

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 21:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Louis Bega, "Mambo No. 5"
Dee Dee King, "Mashed Potato"

mike a, Tuesday, 16 November 2004 22:16 (twenty-one years ago)

"Power Windows" forgettable? I'll never forget how the guy had no power windows, no power breaks, no power nothin' but he had what it takes. And I've only probably heard that song once in my life, and when it came out!

miccio (miccio), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 22:17 (twenty-one years ago)

SQUEEZE - "TEMPTED", my god

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Tuesday, 16 November 2004 22:30 (twenty-one years ago)

"Rico Suave" is too unintentionally funny to be truly awful.

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 22:33 (twenty-one years ago)

"Vindaloo," god yes! Also "The Scream Team Meets the Big Barmy Army Uptown" or whatever the fuck that's called.

The Good Dr. Bill (Andrew Unterberger), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 22:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Hang on now...what's so wrong with "Tempted" by Squeeze? Yes, Paul Carrack went onto so some truly indefensible stufff, but Squeeze? Be nice, now!

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 22:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't think a song by itself has to be bad to be on this mix - "Rico Suave" is great, but on a "worst mix in the history of ever" context, it's somehow awful!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 22:39 (twenty-one years ago)

that Missy Elliott "Getcher Freak On" song!!!

artdamages (artdamages), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 22:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Ken L (Ken L), Tuesday, 16 November 2004 23:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Here's my selection for:

Now That's What I Call Crap! (Rock Hits!)

1.- 4 Non-Blondes - "What's Up"
2.- Alanis Morrissette - "Ironic"
3.- Spin Doctors - "Two Princess"
4.- Collective Soul - "Shine"
5.- Evanescence - "My Immortal"
6.- Nickelback - "How You Remind Me"
7.- Mr. Big - "To be with you"
8.- Lisa Loeb - "Stay"
9.- Save Ferris - "Come on Eileen"
10.- Counting Crows - "Round Here"

daavid (daavid), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 01:44 (twenty-one years ago)

haha, 'life is a highway' is the first song i thought of.

How could I forget about this one!

daavid (daavid), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 01:49 (twenty-one years ago)

This copy here of Hotel California that's pressed off-centre. This here Christmas With Organ & Chimes where the chimes are out of tune with the organ. This '70s Hits Moog Style I've got here where the high notes hurt your ear and go badly off with the rest of the tunes. This Scottish marching band record right here doing delicate pop like "Michelle". Oh yes, and Harlow.

Acme (acme), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 01:54 (twenty-one years ago)

1.- 4 Non-Blondes - "What's Up"
2.- Alanis Morrissette - "Ironic"
3.- Spin Doctors - "Two Princess"
4.- Collective Soul - "Shine"
5.- Evanescence - "My Immortal"
6.- Nickelback - "How You Remind Me"
7.- Mr. Big - "To be with you"
8.- Lisa Loeb - "Stay"
9.- Save Ferris - "Come on Eileen"
10.- Counting Crows - "Round Here"

At most, I'd say three of these songs are legitimately bad.

The Good Dr. Bill (Andrew Unterberger), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 02:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Joseph McCombs, Tell me you didn't just dis the Space Lady ...

The great thing about making a compilation like this is, once you've got it and start listening to it, it will be one of the best, damned mix-tapes you own. For various complex reasons which it's best not to go into here, I made a mix CD that goes from Praga Khan's (or Lords of Acid) "I wanna see your pussy" into the Oompah Loompah song from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. And sometime later on takes in Simply Red. And you know what? That compilation rocks.

phil jones (interstar), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 02:08 (twenty-one years ago)

I like a lot of the songs proposed so far, whatever.
but you gotta have
"Honey" by Bobby Goldsboroand
the Worlds Apart cover of "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love?"
(which is fucking horrible in it original form anyway) is the only song that causes me to dryheave thinking about it.

ainsley harriott, Wednesday, 17 November 2004 02:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Phil Jones - Not a dis of the Space Lady per se. But that song - one cannot transition into it or out of it on a mix - which was my criteria for inclusion. :)

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 03:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm really fucking hating that smug fucking "1985" song by Bowling for Soup right now....Those guys need to get shanked with a rusty screwdriver....put that one on this mix.

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 03:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Leave Lisa Loeb alone! Though let's be fair that track can irritate.

I nominate Carole Bayer Sager, You're moving out today

10,000 Maniacs - Because the Night

Does John Coltrane Dream of a Merry-go-round? (ex machina), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 03:31 (twenty-one years ago)

1. Tata Young - "Sexy naughty bitchy" (Stupendously irritating Thai pop)
2. Wizzard - "I wish it could be christmas everyday" (nobody ever needs to hear this song again)
3. Wizzard - "I wish it could be christmas everyday" (for maximum effect, rinse and then repeat)
4. Sandman - "Can Can Party" (Happy hardcore version of the "Can Can" song, goes on for over 9 minutes of build-ups and breakdowns)
5. Cliff Richard - "The Lord's Prayer"
6. Elton John - "Candle in the wind (goodbye England's rose)"
7. Cartoons - "Doo dah" (the nadir of Europop, and a nice grating juxtaposition with Elton's histrionics)
8. Republica - "Ready to go" (everything bad about the 90s)
9. 4 Non Blondes - "What's up" (everything worse about the 90s)
10.Celine Dion - "The first time ever I saw your face"
11.Elvis Presley - "Yoga is as yoga does" (what was he thinking?)

Jacob (Jacob), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 03:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Fabio "I like to take my special lady to the seenima."

Big and Rich - SAVE A HORSE RIDE A COWBOY! You don't get any worse than slicked up rednecks trying to rap about "bling-blinging".

whatever, Wednesday, 17 November 2004 04:00 (twenty-one years ago)

"Virginia Wolff," Indigo Girls

Rickey Wright (Rrrickey), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 04:06 (twenty-one years ago)

At most, I'd say three of these songs are legitimately bad.

OK the songs are not horrible. But I was tortured by them in my teenage years. So they have a special place in my heart for being the most painfully boring music; and I think that (in some cases) it is better being bad then boring.

daavid (daavid), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 04:20 (twenty-one years ago)

A kick-azz mixtape!

mattp, Wednesday, 17 November 2004 04:27 (twenty-one years ago)

bad=turn it off now:
anything from the eponymous It's A Beautiful Day debut except, perhaps "White Bird" -- gaahhh, insufferable dreck (though perhaps I especially resent being toeclipped into an excercise bike in spinning session early of a Sunday morning and trying to keep cadence to it's sub-Airplane warbling and wonky hippy drumming.)

bad=morbid rubbernecking fascination:
nearly anything by easy listening piano tinkler Lorie Line (especially featuring stuck-pig vocals of Robert Robinson on, say, "Danny Boy" or the standard/inspirational ballad of your choice)
Adiemus, "Boogie Woogie Llanoogie" (not so much bad as baffling, this manic confection of adrenalized vox Bulgares-cum-doo wop with 'boogie-oogie-oogie-oogie' breakdowns so fast they sound like glitchy techno. not good, no, but almost flawless.)

max davenport (axehead), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 04:38 (twenty-one years ago)

That "Cumbersome" song.. also "My own worst enemy" or whatever it is with the worst riff ever invented.

Also that Lenny Kravitz song on the radio right now. "Lady" is it? Wow, is it bad, even for Lenny Kravitz.

daria g (daria g), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 05:02 (twenty-one years ago)

I feel alone in all the world for quite liking that Uncle Kracker song.

Jacob (Jacob), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 05:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Del Amitri - Roll To Me ought to be tucked in here somewhere.

Billy Bob Thornton - "Angelina"

Will To Power

newaroundhere, Wednesday, 17 November 2004 18:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Reality Bites came really close to ruining the 90s, didn't it?

The Good Dr. Bill (Andrew Unterberger), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 18:44 (twenty-one years ago)

There needs to be some Hootie on this tape. Maybe "Hold My Hand."

mike a, Wednesday, 17 November 2004 18:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Joe Dolce - "Shaddap You Face"

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Curt1s St3ph3ns, Wednesday, 17 November 2004 19:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 19:00 (twenty-one years ago)

I could make a pretty fair mixtape of songs I like that were mentioned on this thread.

My nominee for worst-ever: "Nobody" by Sylvia. Guaranteed to curdle whatever it comes in contact with.

briania (briania), Wednesday, 17 November 2004 19:12 (twenty-one years ago)

2. Wizzard - "I wish it could be christmas everyday" (nobody ever needs to hear this song again)
3. Wizzard - "I wish it could be christmas everyday" (for maximum effect, rinse and then repeat)

Surely this is to be followed -- on any mix tape -- with The Wombles & Roy Wood's "I Wish It Could Be A Wombling Merry Christmas Every Day"?

Acme (acme), Thursday, 18 November 2004 12:44 (twenty-one years ago)

"Move Your Ass" is worse than "The Logical Song"

Geir Hongro (GeirHong), Sunday, 28 November 2004 02:36 (twenty-one years ago)

eight months pass...
Manic Street Preachers - anything

Err...... no. How about:

MSP - anything not from "Holy Bible", "Everything Must Go" or the song "Motorcycle Emptiness."

Bash any other MSP songs by all means.

GLC, Saturday, 6 August 2005 04:25 (twenty years ago)

I've got a hunch that you could probably find a lot of good material for this on various artist-tribute albums.
