cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 22 November 2005 15:41 (nineteen years ago)

but not on the internet eh

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 22 November 2005 15:50 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, did you all have fun on Saturday when I fell asleep and didn't come out then? Bah.

I was tempted to go and see Miss Booze Explosion and her chums last night, but I have a lot on at work and going out on a school night is out of the question right now. I want my old job back with its lack of hassle and shorter hours and relatively long lie.

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 22 November 2005 17:16 (nineteen years ago)

Saturday was superb. Last night, also very good. Had to fight my way through the slavering autograph-hunting boys to get to Paula, though.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 22 November 2005 23:23 (nineteen years ago)

12 days no ile! Grebt.

I will try more glasgow, sorry Peter, Glasgow, on the 2nd.

Mooro (Mooro), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 07:31 (nineteen years ago)

Yay!

Mädchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 10:16 (nineteen years ago)

Hooray, Mooro!

We were wondering.

As you know.

Is that 12 days without looking, or 12 days without contributing?

I need to know what to aim for.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller 68), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 11:06 (nineteen years ago)

12 days without looking, (most of) 12 days without thinking of.

During the 12 I, moore, tried Sevilla.

Mooro (Mooro), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 11:21 (nineteen years ago)

They're not very good and rather old, sorry.

Mädchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 17:07 (nineteen years ago)

I just found out I have a week's holiday in a couple of weeks and I am going to try and try glasgow!

Can we have lots of dinners?

Cathy (Cathy), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 17:42 (nineteen years ago)

Yes. Madchen – those photos are sort of good. I like the way they are high contrast, with the background so dark or something.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 18:20 (nineteen years ago)

I like me looking round and you with a pipe in your head.

Cathy, yay!

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 19:19 (nineteen years ago)

internet lawyer was telling me today about s3tanta guy

get this

an hour before a game starts on s3tanta a website opens

you then either post up your user ID or e-mail it to him

it wasn't made clear

anyway

the guy then generates the PIN and sends it to you

voila, s3tanta unlocks

only works with freeview apparently

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 20:28 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah, that was in the Evening Times, about them being cross and going AFTER people doing it. You need Top Up TV with Freeview too.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 20:38 (nineteen years ago)

ridiculous

I have NOT done this btw

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 20:58 (nineteen years ago)

A couple of people I know have got some kind of free sky/setanta set-up but are getting nervous because one of their neighbours got caught recently.

Mädchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 21:25 (nineteen years ago)

I am NOT a couple of people mädchen knows

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 21:38 (nineteen years ago)

No, I should have made that clear, sorry.

Mädchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 23 November 2005 21:50 (nineteen years ago)

I have a job interview in Erskine on Friday but I'm not totally sure how to get there. The buses don't seem to go that far out (which is a little concerning as I don't want to spend my life travelling). Do any of you know if it is possible for me to make it there by public transport and, if so, how long it will take?

hmmm (hmmm), Thursday, 24 November 2005 15:56 (nineteen years ago)

Have you tried asking Jess?

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 24 November 2005 16:06 (nineteen years ago)

Jess says the number 23 Arriva bus from Union Street goes to Erskine.

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 24 November 2005 16:07 (nineteen years ago)

Get the subway to Govan, aim right and 23 bus stop is opposite a bank.

xpost

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 24 November 2005 16:10 (nineteen years ago)

Many many thanks. Jess also says that it will take 40 mins (i'm not sure if that allows for rush hour traffic or not). It's not exactly close by at the other end either. However, they are talking about paying an ok amount of money.... for a job I don't really want to do.

hmmm (hmmm), Thursday, 24 November 2005 16:24 (nineteen years ago)

There's an X23 from the city centre that goes on the motorway and only takes 25 mins on a good day (or at least there was when I lived in Erskine a few years back). A 22 or a 300 (I think) gets you to Erskine from Paisley via the airport.

My wife works in Erskine, in a bank.

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 24 November 2005 16:38 (nineteen years ago)

Actually, jess says it will take over an hour. Plus a bit at the other end. Too long for me. Oh well.

xpost

thanks. Even that is pushing it quite a lot I'm afraid what with having to get into town first and all that.

hmmm (hmmm), Thursday, 24 November 2005 16:49 (nineteen years ago)

22 goes from Paisley (just outside Gilmour Street station - take the exit onto County Square and look on the left as you come out of the station, it's across from the taxi rank on the right hand side of the road with your back to the station) but doesn't go via the airport. However there are roadworks and diversions and whathaveyou through Renfrew, which is where it does goes through on the way out of Paisley. Whereabouts in Erskine is the interview, as the buses don't serve very much of it?

ailsa (ailsa), Thursday, 24 November 2005 19:05 (nineteen years ago)

Accentmonkey in Glasgow December 2nd to 4th

Mädchen (Madchen), Friday, 25 November 2005 13:42 (nineteen years ago)

Anyone going to see the gussets at the barfly tonight? It'd part of some kind of night called Funhouse.

hmmm (hmmm), Friday, 25 November 2005 18:16 (nineteen years ago)

did you go in the end?

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 26 November 2005 11:37 (nineteen years ago)

sorry, not funny

glasgow looked so beautiful again today

my moods are flicking like switches lately

what with all this weather

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 26 November 2005 11:59 (nineteen years ago)

Is it snowy in Glasgow? It melted in about an hour here.

KeefW (kmw), Saturday, 26 November 2005 12:27 (nineteen years ago)

It appears to be wet.

I tried to go and see the gussets prior to stumbling along to pop league. I had been informed that they were going to play for about 20 mins very soon after the club opened at 1030. We arrived early, sat around while they played some horrible music, watched loads of horrible people arrive. A band came on who sounded like a shit version of Lung Leg. We left.

Not the most amazing experience of my entire life. Pop League on the other hand....

hmmm (hmmm), Saturday, 26 November 2005 13:41 (nineteen years ago)

badly organised mini-FAP action, yo: ailsa and i are both going to be ending up at the woodside tonight (friday) to see swimmer one et al. we were originally going to try to hook up with accentmonkey in uisge beatha on woodlands road, but that plan appears to have fallen through ... either way, i imagine i'll be in uisge beatha for about 9pm, and ailsa might be there a bit earlier.

and then woodside ho!

anyone else?

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Friday, 2 December 2005 09:18 (nineteen years ago)

Why has the Uisge plan fallen through? I'm still planning on going before going to see Camera Obscura.

Mädchen (Madchen), Friday, 2 December 2005 09:41 (nineteen years ago)

Also Ally, do you have birthday-type plans this weekend?

Mädchen (Madchen), Friday, 2 December 2005 09:42 (nineteen years ago)

he's thinking about getting the umbilical cord cut

RJG (RJG), Friday, 2 December 2005 10:29 (nineteen years ago)

I'm here! Hello Glasgow!

Cathy (Cathy), Friday, 2 December 2005 11:15 (nineteen years ago)

Blimey, are you back?

Mädchen (Madchen), Friday, 2 December 2005 12:04 (nineteen years ago)

Why has the Uisge plan fallen through?

trish said her brother had booked a meal for tonight at 7pm. didn't she?

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Friday, 2 December 2005 12:44 (nineteen years ago)

yus:

Well, my stupid brother has booked our posh food for Friday instead of Saturday. Which means we have to be at the restaurant at 7pm! V. early.

So, who will meet us for pints on Saturday instead?

-- accentmonkey (tris...), Yesterday 12:14 AM. (accentmonkey) (later)

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Friday, 2 December 2005 12:45 (nineteen years ago)

Woops, looks like she posted that at the same time I was posting, or I just didn't read it properly.

Mädchen (Madchen), Friday, 2 December 2005 12:48 (nineteen years ago)

I forgot to mention this but to those interested, I will be attempting to try Glasgow this New Year's Eve. Hope to see you!

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Friday, 2 December 2005 12:51 (nineteen years ago)

stevem, that would rock. hard. although so far i think my NYE is going to involve staying sober so i can drive between two different parties. hmm. that will be ... novel.

grimly fiendish (grimlord), Friday, 2 December 2005 13:26 (nineteen years ago)

See, there's this thing called a taxi ...

Mädchen (Madchen), Friday, 2 December 2005 13:43 (nineteen years ago)

On Hogmanay?

scotstvo (scotstvo), Friday, 2 December 2005 13:47 (nineteen years ago)

Cozen and I are hoping to go to Optimo NYE, Steve. Maybe Lauren and Ally too?

Alba (Alba), Friday, 2 December 2005 14:02 (nineteen years ago)

I would be v keen on that (should i buy a ticket asap?), and could hopefully persude Alix if she isn't initially.

Sororah T Massacre (blueski), Friday, 2 December 2005 14:08 (nineteen years ago)

I was drunk when I said that but I stand by it

cozen (Cozen), Friday, 2 December 2005 14:14 (nineteen years ago)

I'm going to move fast on this. When do they usually sell out?

Alba (Alba), Friday, 2 December 2005 14:27 (nineteen years ago)
