okay so I don't have time to get mired in controversy, I've got to get going, but can whomever deleted that thread, at some point, post their rationale for doing so? It seems really arbitrary and - wait for it - creepy.

That was me, meant to delete the image redirect from our eager grunge fan, ended up deleting Geir thread while watching Amaroso going bannanas.

hstencil, if you wish to find out who did what, check the admin log. It can be found from the log page which has a link at the bottom right of most pages here.

I request that a moderator delete this thread, because it vectors a long-debunked urban legend. (I've already linked it to the snopes.com page debunking it, if the moderators don't consider the thread worth deleting.)

I that a chink of that thread and theres no clear consensus that it is just a myth, so I think the thread should stay.
