Also Mike Skinner.
Graham I sympathise - I've been caught between connections at B. New Street on occasion and it is FKN HORRIBLE.

It isn't Croydon, the record shops are alright, and I can get on the student radio here.
That said, the public transport is shit, and Digbeth Coach Station... jesus fucking fuck...
― Mr Swygart (mrswygart), Friday, 18 October 2002 17:33 (twenty-three years ago)
So now, I shall say that it is brilliant. Cos it is.
There's also the Medicine Bar and the Academy, which are both alright.

I was asked to go to a 3-day midweek conference in Birmingham this December. I have managed to talk my way out of it. I told my boss that it would be much more professionally rewarding if it were in Rio, and to ask me again if they move it there next year.

I think Anna may be offended! She is from Wolverhampton, if I remember etc.
Well I did say 'environs'. They're almost joined up, after all. I think it's somewhere outside Wolverhampton in fact.

Birmingham has gone right downhill since the Bull Ring bit the dust.
Big Youth was of the opinion that Birmingham was 'the dreadest town inna England', so that's that settled.
I too have fallen asleep to Sonic Youth's live meanderings, and very nice it was too. But it was Leicester, not Birmingham.
Weren't Musical Youth Brummies too?
The people have a reputation for moaning a lot, which could tip the balance either way.

Birmingham City, on the other hand, are a pustulent ulcer on the forehead of football.

My sister lived there for a couple of years. She liked it, generally. It reminded her of Pittsburgh (post-industrial working class city gets comely make-over).
