they have made off with all my uniball finepoints (they have left me a useless pencil and this fancy refillable parker - impossible to hold, let alone write with). where do they live and what do they look like? what are they writing??

They work for Santa Claus, don't get too mad at them, they need them for working in the office. Santa is very lax about ordering stationery.

I have met the pen goblins and they are us! I have scads and scads of pens at home that I absentmindedly put in my pocket and walk off with.

when they have finished at 'the pole' they return all the pens but put them in places you would never dream of looking in ie: behind the tv, under the bed, at the very bottom of someones backpack. and they have used all the ink anyway so when you do come across one by mistake and think " HEY COOL ! " you find it is useless.

hey Donna, don't they sometimes put them in yr coat pocket as well? This is obviously somewhere that you would never put them yrself coz *you* would *know* that they would be bound to leak and leave a nasty stain!

I'm going shopping sometime soon for more pens to keep at my desk. I'll get reimbursed for the office supplies. I think I'll get somthing kind of fancy this time. Hmmm...

arg lighter goblins! they stick mainly to pub crevices tho - these uniball fiends have invaded my HOME!! the sock imps are strictly a laundromat hazard for me, as i don't have one of their metal hive-lairs on the premises.

(i had to sharpen the above-mentioned useless pencil with a kitchen knife. it worked ok, but really)

lighter goblins always turn out to be friends who then accidentally open their kitchen drawer when i am visiting, displaying their HUGE collection of stolen lighters! they slam the drawer shut, but its Too Late, they have been exposed for the magpies they really are.
