Flan = worthy.

Makes a great projectile weapon.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 3 April 2003 17:28 (twenty-two years ago)

isn't he the lead singer of Travis?

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 3 April 2003 17:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Would make a great projectile weapon, but I'm sure there would be an alternative of similar consistency for such purposes. Because flan is classic, slassic, classic to eat.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Thursday, 3 April 2003 17:35 (twenty-two years ago)

mmmmmmmmm flan.

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 3 April 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Flan is just custard dressed up for snooty society types. If they burn it, it's creme brulee.

Nick A. (Nick A.), Thursday, 3 April 2003 17:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Do you hate flan?

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 3 April 2003 17:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not sure if I've ever had any flan.

Let the search function be your friend, dear people. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 3 April 2003 17:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Flan, eh?

Crema Catalan with the caramelized sugar on top served cold, Classic.

David Beckhouse (David Beckhouse), Thursday, 3 April 2003 23:50 (twenty-two years ago)

coconut flan is grebt

geeta (geeta), Friday, 4 April 2003 02:12 (twenty-two years ago)

That's a creme caramel. I'll also vouch for the greatnes of crema catalana aswell. Its not difficult to make but I can't bring the recipe to mind right now.

FLAN IN THE FACE!!

Melissa W (Melissa W), Friday, 4 April 2003 06:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Flán, people, flán. N.B. I only speak effete lisping Castilian. Anyway it's great, although not to be tackled when afflicted with a hangover - the texture can be quite nauseating.

Flan was one of the few things that I didn't like for years until I realized that 75% of the flan out there is of poor quality - too sweet and squishy. I had some fantastic flan at Cafe Atlantic in Pasadena and now I like it a lot.

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Monday, 24 November 2003 23:37 (twenty-one years ago)

This even a ques.? CLASSIC, as if it needed to be said!

Am I sounding too spoiled by saying the only flan I've ever eaten has been the perfectly angelic-tasting homemade kind?

Mmmm homemade flan made from a great-grandma's recipe....

Tenacious Dee (Dee the Lurker), Thursday, 27 November 2003 21:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I am stuffed with pumpkin flan that my mom made for Thanksgiving, among other things.

NA (Nick A.), Thursday, 27 November 2003 21:57 (twenty-one years ago)

you hate flan = you hate fun

geeta, Thursday, 27 November 2003 22:29 (twenty-one years ago)

flan is so classic and very filling thus good if you're low on cash and hungry and in a hurry

amateur!st (amateurist), Thursday, 27 November 2003 23:07 (twenty-one years ago)

more pricey than eclairs though

amateur!st (amateurist), Thursday, 27 November 2003 23:08 (twenty-one years ago)

also flassic for delmore washington's great blues "i believe i'll get some flan"

amateur!st (amateurist), Thursday, 27 November 2003 23:09 (twenty-one years ago)

(keep in mind this was recorded at a time when a piece of flan cost nearly as much as a singer sewing machine)

amateur!st (amateurist), Thursday, 27 November 2003 23:09 (twenty-one years ago)

My family's from Sheffield and they call quiche flan - how fucked-up is that?

I have only just discovered the fact that there are two separate foodstuffs called flan. This is confusing me.
