Further to the discussion about a week ago for a Fancy a pint Oxford FAPS - are you prepared to travel? here's the thread to discuss it.
I've e-mailed Rebecca, and she said she was thinking about going to the festival, so lets bug her, so she'd come!
So if we were to meet up on 21st June at Charlbury, when should we meet up, and should we all travel from Oxford together?

(nb: non-oxford people, i'm not actually just picking the silliest name on the list, i have actually seen this band and they are grebt, possibly.)
also when is truck and is anyone half decent playing?
also also how had i missed that the 21st was a saturday, arses, that means i won't get paid til the monday, so will be skinter than a skint thing...

[plug]Truck is the weekend of 19th -20th July, lots of great bands are playing, but I can't remember them off the top of my head except British Sea Power, Electric Eel Shock, Buck 65, all the Truck bands and the Butterflies of Love are coming over from the US just for the festival.. oh and currently in negotiations with a very exciting headliner, that if we get i'll be very excited indeed... the bands are on the truck site anyway http://www.truckrecords.com[/plug]
and Carsmilesteve, you should come to Charlbury anyway, it's only the coach fare up to Oxford and then the train fare.. the booze is cheap.

BUT on the plus side I got to see Holy Roman Empire for the first time (this was 1999). With the singer with his felt-tip pen chest hair -oh yes!
But the Butterflies of Love!!! I love their album "The New Patient". i need to find someone WITH A CAR who's going.....

As for Rebecca I e-mailed her a couple of days ago, she was a bit vague in her usual way. Anyway, I'll ask her again the next time i bump into her.

HDIF was grebt btw. Never thought something like that would happen at my local! Someone said "it's a bit like a wedding reception" and I suppose it was in a way...starting at 7.30 and ending at pub closing time, with light streaming through the curtains for quite a bit of that time.
