As a founder member of the Pub Steering Committee - I disown this thread. There has been no decent consultation, time is all out of whack and the pub choices have pub the usual sanity to shame.

Of course I am fine with short notice FAP's - I have been involved in these before. But there is a perfectly established method for identifying pubs which has not been used in this case.

I am wary of pub chains who have pubs which suggest the kind of fortitude you will need to survive in their establishments.

I did leave slightly early, but I didn't see Ed. Nonetheless, a good turnout for short notice on a Tuesday - about a dozen there. We all felt we had earned the right to abuse Pete all night, so did. But we do that every time, of course.
