I've never had complaints about it, but maybe people are just being polite.

And if Destroy, then how?

Eyebrows are important.

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 18:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, but plurally or singularly?

My weapon of choice in smiting my Mediterranean-heritage-acquired monobrow growth:

tell it to Yul Brynner

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Friday, 22 August 2003 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)

The emphasis in my statement was on the 's'. You got to have good eyebrows to get with me.

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 18:44 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a fear that once I begin, I won't know where to stop. I'll end up like one of those old ladies who have to paint their eyebrows on . . . crookedly

Anti-Browist!

x-post

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 22 August 2003 18:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Well I'm sorry but I have strict standards of physicality.

Ally-zay (mlescaut), Friday, 22 August 2003 18:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Destroy, destroy post-haste. Even if you don't stop in time, no eyebrows > monobrow.

The matching mustache is key.

That guy looks like Dastoor!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 22 August 2003 19:00 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm trying to resist getting the monorail song in my head.

Another monobrow thread: /ILX/ThreadSelectedControllerServlet?thread.php?msgid=3165072

There was a picture thread somewhere too, which involved a good bit of photoshopping...

JuliaA (j_bdules), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:03 (twenty-two years ago)

im in a pickle! my sister says 'dont touch your eyebrows!" but my gf says "pluck that shit!"

chaki (chaki), Friday, 22 August 2003 20:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Mine grow together into what my darling husband calls "the monkeybrow". After many years of agonizing waxing, plucking, etc, I am now getting electrolysis so I can finally ignore the damn things without looking like an orang.

Layna Andersen (Layna Andersen), Friday, 22 August 2003 22:35 (twenty-two years ago)

PS If you're not sure how to shape them, or are afraid you'll do too much & look stupid, have it done at a salon the first time. Believe me, they will grow back in soon enough so you can change the look.

Layna Andersen (Layna Andersen), Friday, 22 August 2003 22:37 (twenty-two years ago)

i second Lanya but dont do too much - you want to have less eyebrowage without looking like you have "plucked eyebrows" so remove hair but dont make it look too neat.

and dont use a razor!

jed_e_3 (jed_e_3), Friday, 22 August 2003 23:14 (twenty-two years ago)

im assuming you are a bloke btw?

jed_e_3 (jed_e_3), Friday, 22 August 2003 23:15 (twenty-two years ago)

the trick is to always pluck from underneath the brow, never above. start in the middle and remove the lowest layer, then gradually move up. be extremely conservative, you can always pluck more but once they are gone they are gone.

minna (minna), Saturday, 23 August 2003 00:19 (twenty-two years ago)

keep it

Mike Hanle y (mike), Saturday, 23 August 2003 03:12 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah, i should add that my mother has been bugging me to get my eyebrows shaped, and i say NO!
if you like it, keep yr monobrow!

minna (minna), Saturday, 23 August 2003 03:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Indeed - in the end, it's your brow(s), you're the one they should please.
