Anyone got any ideas?

Mandee (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 30 October 2003 10:45 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't have a calendar, but is the 3rd Saturday in November the 22nd?

I'm thinking that would be good, because 3 weeks is time enough to get everyone organised and plan in advance (and besides, 22 is my lucking number and 22/11 is a hot conspiracy date! (as opposed to a conspiracy hot date))

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 10:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Can 1 token boy turn up to a GirlFAP for yin-yang harmony between the sexes?

Dave B (daveb), Thursday, 30 October 2003 10:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Pervert.

Mark C (Mark C), Thursday, 30 October 2003 10:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Aw, I can't do it the 22nd - a friend from out of town arrives that night.

Mandee (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 30 October 2003 10:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Let us reiterate. NO BOYS AT THE ALL GIRL FAP!!! Those of us with partners may have to find something for our menfolk to do, so you are perfectly welcome to have your ALL BOY FAP, but you must plan it on your own thread.

Maybe one of us should also ring The Glass Bar and find out if they are OK with us FAPing there, i.e. bringing a busload of rowdy (mainly) hetero non-member womens into their little tiny bar.

(Also, can someone confirm that the 22nd is a Saturday, because I didn't bring my calendar, and our Outlook system is down.)

Oh wait, shit, that's out, then. Someone else make another suggestion.

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Obviously it needs to be somewhere that does classy cocktails for the sophisticats amongst you.

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, but it has to be somewhere that DOES NOT ALLOW MEN or all you sad lot will be "oops, I just dropped by cause I happened to be in the neighhourhood, is THIS where you're having your Girls Only FAP, oh well, I might as well have a pint while I'm here" and then it's ruined.

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:06 (twenty-two years ago)

What about Saturday, November 16th?

Mandee (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, because girlz do not heart pubs and prefer trendy wine bars = girlz are killing the British banking industry.

Kate - we are jealous because all FAP have been unisex in terms of invitees and so the reason why no laydeez show is that they do not exist. To have a girl FAP would indicate that they hate us.

Dave B (daveb), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, because girlz do not heart pubs and prefer trendy wine bars = girlz are killing the British banking industry.

I think Vic may have something to say about that DB

chris (chris), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I think I have become an honorary bloke at FAPs, and to turn up at an all girl one would be just too strange...

Vicky (Vicky), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:14 (twenty-two years ago)

:-(

Do it *because* it's strange, Vicky!

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Nov 16th is a Sunday & I cant do that w/e. (that said I'm probably gonna be real awkward so feel free to plan around!)

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:18 (twenty-two years ago)

ok, but this one's going to have to be carefully planned, because there are few of us as it is, and we're getting nearer Christmas and getting booked up.

Friday 21st Nov, Fri 6th, Sat 7th, sat 13th, and Friday 19th and 20th Dec are the only weekend dates I have free before Christmas, and there's an all encompassing London Christmas FAP to fit in too (although, is that usually on a week night?)

Vicky (Vicky), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:19 (twenty-two years ago)

We either need a person with exceptional organisational skills or else we need to just pick a date and stick with it, and tell people to RESCHEDULE YER SOCIAL LIVES, DAMMIT!!! But that wouldn't be very girly of us, would we?

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm free pretty much every day except November 21 & 22.

Mandee (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I am unscheduled (as far as I know) from the weekend of the 8/9the November on. But then again, I always forget about plans I've made, and it doesn't help having an other half who makes plans for me and forgets to tell me!

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:28 (twenty-two years ago)

This is the thread for the official ILX MANFAP! Grrrrrrrrrr.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:35 (twenty-two years ago)

maybe pinkpanther should pick the date as she'll be the one travelling the furthest i think (based on the Glass Bar thread, not sure who else would be there not already in London)

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, Pink, how about you suggest Saturdays (or Sundays? I know in general FAP-dom Sundays turn out to be easier) that are best for you, and we will try to plan around that.

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Thanks for the thought Steve, but I'd rather it wasn't arranged around me in case I can't make it. I'm due to move & am not sure of dates & stuff, so whatever I say now, could all change next week you know.

Again I say, Archel, can you make it?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Ladies leave yo man at home
The club is full of ballas and
They pockets full grown
And all you fellas leave yo girl
With her friends
Cause its 11:30 and the club is
Jumpin, jumpin

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Are you & enrique in this together?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh meants, I am unscheduled AFTER the w/e 8/9th November, cause that weekend is mad.

How about the 7th December. I know it's a long way off, and that's getting into dangerous Xmas territory, but what say you?

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:52 (twenty-two years ago)

I say yay!

Vicky (Vicky), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:53 (twenty-two years ago)

December is out for me compeltely. Also w/e of the 15th & 16th Nov.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:56 (twenty-two years ago)

This is the wrong time of the year to try to do this. :-(

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 11:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Yup! What about a new year fap then?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 30 October 2003 12:07 (twenty-two years ago)

new year? surely sometime in November is feasible

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 30 October 2003 12:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I am out the 8/9, Pink & Vicky are out the 15/16, and Mandee is out 21/22. What does that leave us?

Unless we had a rogue Sunday FAP on the 23rd? Is this the answer? (Please say yes!)

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 12:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Not feasible with out leaving someone out, but then I suppose it's always going to happen.

Vicky (Vicky), Thursday, 30 October 2003 12:13 (twenty-two years ago)

I am more into the idea of a Sunday FAP lately, because of SUNDAY PUB ROAST but that is unlikely to happen at The Glass Bar, I expect. (Unless we had it at a secret Pub location so the boys didn't find out.)

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 12:14 (twenty-two years ago)

i can't do the weekend of the 15th. i seem to have tons of stuff already booked during the week, but not weekends, which is weird. so i'm probably easy to schedule around.

can we do friday the 21st?

are we stuck on a saturday because the glass bar does a special cocktail deal then?

can't think of any other 'no guys' place to go except the CAKE events, which are probably a little bit hardcore for a FAP. and would make boyfriends/SOs completely mad with jealousy.

colette (a2lette), Thursday, 30 October 2003 12:16 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah, the glass bar is closed on sundays.

but i'm ok with having a FAP on sundays, generally.

colette (a2lette), Thursday, 30 October 2003 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

We suggested a weekend (Sat/Sun) date because it facilitated people who had to travel - such as Pinkpanther.

kate (kate), Thursday, 30 October 2003 12:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I can't do 15/16th but ok for 21st or 22nd.

Emma, Thursday, 30 October 2003 12:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Pls plan around me, as i am feeling like i am holding it all up. aslong as another all girl fap can be arranged sometime in the new year!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Thursday, 30 October 2003 13:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Okay, why don't we do the 22nd - and I'll try and get my jet-lagged friend to come along! She's A GIRL, afterall.

Mandee (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 30 October 2003 17:23 (twenty-two years ago)

sorry, can't make this one

jel -- (jel), Thursday, 30 October 2003 17:34 (twenty-two years ago)

ha ha!

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 30 October 2003 17:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Was I invoked upthread? Mmm allgirlfap! I wd like to come and can make all Saturdays in November at the moment. No weekdays tho.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 30 October 2003 17:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Yay Archel!!

Mandee (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 30 October 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

But on principle I don't like to go places that don't allow men.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 30 October 2003 17:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Is there a reason for this nonsense, and the concomitant all-male FAP? Don't tell me that Kate, Vicky, Emma and so on are intimidated by the men, and FAPs are hardly centred around macho men or activities. It feels childish, really. I'm sure I'll enjoy a men-only FAP less than an open one, and the same would be true were it possible for me to be at a women-only one.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Thursday, 30 October 2003 20:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I am almost certain that an all-male FAP would be duller than a mixed one but its still a night out in the pub with some fine people so why not? It's not like there won't be a string of other events after and possibly before.

But equally I think its telling that every female poster who is likely to be attending except possibly Suzy has gone "yay, all-girl FAP, great idea" and I'm almost certain the conversation and whole tone of the event will be radically different to a normal FAP in a way that an all-bloke event.

Is it childish to want to spend a bit of time in a group without any members of the opposite sex if you are perfectly open and inclusive the other 98% of the time (which lets face it, most of us are)? God, there's a thread in itself in that question.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 30 October 2003 21:31 (twenty-two years ago)

... in the way that an all-bloke event WOULDN'T, is what I should have said.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 30 October 2003 21:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Is it childish to want to spend a bit of time in a group without any members of the opposite sex if you are perfectly open and inclusive the other 98% of the time (which lets face it, most of us are)? God, there's a thread in itself in that question.

heh. We got into that a bit on Ronan's bloke thread.

Mary (Mary), Thursday, 30 October 2003 21:44 (twenty-two years ago)

i certainly don't PREFER the idea of a male-only gathering of any kind, but the girls actually seem pretty keen on the all-girl FAP and more power to 'em. if nothing else we should just all meet up somewhere after they do their thing.

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 30 October 2003 22:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Enjoy, fellow lasses. And you know pics are a must:>

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Thursday, 30 October 2003 22:05 (twenty-two years ago)

5pm?

Mandee (Jerrynipper), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm in. Boys in at 7pm.

suzy (suzy), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm afraid I have to cry off. I've a friend visiting, from Linlithgow, and though she could come too we've both got winter weddings that we need outfits for. If we come into town to shop and have had a successful trip then we may well pop in. sorry....

Vicky (Vicky), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe we should just put a sign in the window when we're ready to let them in... You never know! We could run out of things to talk about by 2:30pm, or we could still be cracking period jokes at 10!

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Suzy that is inhumane! I would not ban ANYONE from a pub until 7pm! 5pm is more reasonable.

Sarah (starry), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:32 (twenty-two years ago)

But it's supposed to be an ALL GIRL FAP with a get-together with boys in the evening. 5pm is hardly evening.

No Vicky, boo hoo. Stop by for a drink first, then get silly outfits in a trendy Hoxton boutique!

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, they have to watch the football and then turn themselves around to go somewher new, right? I think 7 is reasonable.

suzy (suzy), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:35 (twenty-two years ago)

we could compromise with 6, but i don't really mind either way...

colette (a2lette), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Heavens, I don't really mind! Only saying as I might be off out elsewhere in the evening, like.

Sarah (starry), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

We could let the boys in at dinnertime if they brought food with them!

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Exactly how late is this FAP likely to be carrying on? Because I could make the last couple of hours, but only if its going to be going on past closing time. I will of course be terrified by the ruin and realise that's what I usually look like at FAP chucking out time, but hey.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I have to return to Brighton before the trains turn into pumpkins, and I need SOME boy action :) so meeting up earlier rather than later would be good for me. Maybe non-sport-watching men can come from 5 or 6?

Archel (Archel), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:53 (twenty-two years ago)

I can come providing I don't have to go to Sainsburys and also providing the 97 hour hike from West to East London does not get too dispiriting causing me give up due to lack of energy.

Emma, Friday, 21 November 2003 14:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Have fune ladeez! *CRIES*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 21 November 2003 14:58 (twenty-two years ago)

It's too bad we missed out on the opportunity to call this event LADY-FFFFFFAP!!!

j/k really. j/k.

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 21 November 2003 15:27 (twenty-two years ago)

*sniggers*

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Friday, 21 November 2003 15:29 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm imagining us boys standing outside the foundry, noses pressed against the glass like urchins looking in a posh reataurant...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Friday, 21 November 2003 15:33 (twenty-two years ago)

restaurant, obv.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Friday, 21 November 2003 15:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, this is what I'm afraid of.

Do yourself a favour. Don't come till the footie is over!

Citizen Kate (kate), Friday, 21 November 2003 15:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I am in England today but will be off to Scotland tomorrow and will be missing this girly FAP, which I thought was a great idea, no matter what the boys thought.

Carey (Carey), Friday, 21 November 2003 18:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Okay, I shall aim to leave home after the football results are in, to get there around 6ish. I'm hardly 'boy action', but I'd certainly like to see Archel before she has to leave. This is all conditional on my feeling up to it tomorrow, which is by no means guaranteed.

I suspect some men may not be reading this by now, so maybe another thread to ensure we all know that we are welcome for the evening?

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 21 November 2003 18:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I am still reading it, and I intend to turn up around 6pm too (or as soon as I get back from the footie, sort myself out, and head to whatever godforsaken trendhole this Foundry place is at). See you then.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 21 November 2003 20:15 (twenty-two years ago)

i might well pop into this later, i have been ill but am feeling quite a bit better. also i have to spend all day getting boxes down from the attic and i imagine that after that i'll fancy a drink.

toby (tsg20), Saturday, 22 November 2003 10:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Come along Toby! On the downside, Archel texted me to say she can't make it any more due to rail engineering works :(

Markelby (Mark C), Saturday, 22 November 2003 13:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Hi gys i cant make it after all asengineering works on fukin trains. sorry, hvefun i will think f tou!

writing this in phone box so apologies!

Rachel, Saturday, 22 November 2003 13:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Vive Le FAP! La Femme Resistance!

(Due to the rain, I am sporting the "World War II Spy" Look with trench coat and beret.)

Sorry to hear you won't be making it, Archel. Boo, hiss!

Kate @ Suzy's (dali), Saturday, 22 November 2003 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah i'll be there later, not too sure when though. also i will not be getting hammered as am not entirely well yet.

toby (tsg20), Saturday, 22 November 2003 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm guessing sometime after 7 for me.

Ed (dali), Saturday, 22 November 2003 14:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I am not at the all-girl FAP. I might be out later. I picked up my friend from Heathrow and she was knackered, and so was I.

Mandee (Jerrynipper), Saturday, 22 November 2003 15:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Mandee and her cool friend who looked like Scarlett Johanssen did in fact show up. As did me, Kate, Collette, Cis, Anna, Sarah and Mark, Stevie T, Ed, Toby and Steve M. Roll on tuesday...

suzy (suzy), Sunday, 23 November 2003 09:18 (twenty-two years ago)

matt dc turned up too!

toby (tsg20), Sunday, 23 November 2003 09:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry chaps. I was doing the Dr Who marathon, got the sniffles, found I couldn't move and had to take refuge in rum.

Sarah (starry), Sunday, 23 November 2003 09:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I am offended everyone failed to notice that I was there too!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 23 November 2003 11:27 (twenty-two years ago)

The All-girl FAP was quite a success.. the highlight of the evening/afternoon was the reading of saucy Mills & Boon passages aloud... we discovered that thrusts can indeed be quite silky, and that erections are best when freed from their constraining jockey shorts.

Mandee (Jerrynipper), Sunday, 23 November 2003 12:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Also that women can be brought to orgasm during labour.

traumatised (cis), Sunday, 23 November 2003 13:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Vive la FAP, vive la femme revolution!

Anna (Anna), Sunday, 23 November 2003 13:44 (twenty-two years ago)

(questions we DON'T wish to know the answer to: of the erectable listed as present, whose was "freed from... constraining jockey shorts"?)

mark s (mark s), Sunday, 23 November 2003 14:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Dear me. I read a saucy bit of fiction on Friday actually. It was called "Cream Tease". It featured some women on a milking machine. "Aircraftswoman Jackson, on the machine!" "Y-y-yes Sir" ect ect. Give me Maeve Binchy.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 24 November 2003 10:24 (twenty-two years ago)

I had fun, for the whole 20 minutes I was there. Is it true there was singing involved?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 24 November 2003 10:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Blimey!

Hope you all had a great time. Thanks to Kate for the text updates!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Monday, 24 November 2003 10:25 (twenty-two years ago)

it still took me ages to get home, but i think my mistake was getting the 67 from Kingsland Road rather than the 141

stevem (blueski), Monday, 24 November 2003 10:34 (twenty-two years ago)

stevem's hilarious travel mishaps make everything worthwhile

mark s (mark s), Monday, 24 November 2003 10:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh and the U&K thumb-war 'issue' was settled (poor lamb lost even though I warred with my gimp hand as incentive for him to even compete).

suzy (suzy), Monday, 24 November 2003 10:51 (twenty-two years ago)

but barry whipped toby's arse

stevem (blueski), Monday, 24 November 2003 10:53 (twenty-two years ago)

any 'snake like tongues'

Ed (dali), Monday, 24 November 2003 10:55 (twenty-two years ago)

it was really fun, and we'll have to do it again in the new year, when schedules aren't quite as full, and more girls can come along.

just a note, i've read 2 m&b books since saturday night. sigh. i think we need to work on the 'romance novels that teach you things' series, or my brain may turn to mush!

colette (a2lette), Monday, 24 November 2003 13:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Reading an M&B is like putting your brain on a quick spin cycle for washing. Excellent stuff.

Pete (Pete), Monday, 24 November 2003 14:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I am so glad that no one mentioned the lezzing up. Ssshhhhhh!

Citizen Kate (kate), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 11:45 (twenty-two years ago)

WHAT???!!!!!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 11:50 (twenty-two years ago)

"I am so glad that no one mentioned the lezzing up. Ssshhhhhh!".

I am still upset you didn't go to a gay bar (wine bar)!

Sarah (starry), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 11:51 (twenty-two years ago)
