I thought it was a good use of a monday, and i think we all learned a little bit about ourselves, and each other.

Your thoughts?

Kingfish (Kingfish), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I called ILX as broken several hours ago, and I think my suspicions were borne out.

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:40 (twenty-one years ago)

i avoided it because it sounded boring.

Dean Gulberry (deangulberry), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going to rent Finding Nemo when it comes out tomorrow.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:41 (twenty-one years ago)

If fishfucking is boring, you would have fallen asleep.

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Get it? "Boring"?!

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Kingfish (Kingfish), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:50 (twenty-one years ago)

worst thread ever. seriously.

oops (Oops), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Kingfish! Let the damned thread rest in peace.

Casuistry (Chris P), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:51 (twenty-one years ago)

seriously.

oops (Oops), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:52 (twenty-one years ago)

It got a bit fishy (pescocentric?) after a while.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:53 (twenty-one years ago)

I am so sorry.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 22:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I only came in at the end (ahem) but I liked the fish and what I read of the thread was hilarious. I think.

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Im confused as to why Jody locked it.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Me too. I reckoned I'd missed something.

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:01 (twenty-one years ago)

It had lead a fulsome life.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:02 (twenty-one years ago)

It many many more posts in it yet. A premature death is so much harder to reconcile.

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:03 (twenty-one years ago)

I really think it had done it's job...

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:04 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't know how people are so candid/sordid.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:04 (twenty-one years ago)

at least in print.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going to have to take a good look at it. An autopsy, so to speak. I'll print it off, go to bed and see what happens...

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Why the fuck not, eh? We're all going to die without saying these things, otherwise.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Im confused as to why Jody locked it.

I was asked! It seemed like a good place to lock it.

Annouschka (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Thank you, Jody. I dread to think what I'd have found next.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:06 (twenty-one years ago)

hell in a handbasket

strongo hulkington's ghost (dubplatestyle), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I think we should post a link to the 'mildly kinky' thread to Nick's 'what will I do now?' thread...

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going to bed. Night night, ILXors!

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes. I'm surprised no one suggested "post gross pictures of dead fish and make disgusting sexual allusions to them in the 'mildly kinky' thread", in retrospect.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Night Lara.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Night Nick.

*awwww*

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Night Ronan.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Night Jon-Boy.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:13 (twenty-one years ago)

NIGHT McCLOUD

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:13 (twenty-one years ago)

*superb*

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:13 (twenty-one years ago)

the number of alex in nyc-esque "raise your standards!" feelings i've been having reading the "jokey threads" recently is frightening the hell out of me

strongo hulkington's ghost (dubplatestyle), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Knight Rider

(and she's gone)

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:14 (twenty-one years ago)

that's super, jess.

oops (Oops), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Night Jess.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:14 (twenty-one years ago)

That was Night Rider, wasn't it, unless David Hasselhoff was on a recent honour's list?

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Isn't it time ILX went to bed?

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:15 (twenty-one years ago)

No, it was Knight Rider. It was a pun, see?

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Si.

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Isn't it time ILX went to bed?

Not even. I'm just getting started to put the ICK back in "ichthyology."

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:19 (twenty-one years ago)

jess = painfully otm. Somewhere google image search became mistaken for can't miss comedy.

bnw (bnw), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I kept expecting Troy McClure to make an appearance, but there were no more than allusions.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not exactly proud. Boredom is an evil thing.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Clearly.

Lara (Lara), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:28 (twenty-one years ago)

not read it but mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm chiperones

Ed (dali), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Off to read it now....though I'm too wily to tell you lot anything.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:32 (twenty-one years ago)

oh, someday, when we're all older and wiser, there'll be a Vol 2 for that thread.

and hopefully we won't devolve so easily into fish.

and it was other folks posting dead fish. Mine were live.

Unless you count the horny goth & cthulhu stature an example of dead art of a dead god.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I can believe I posted a picture of Raj Persaud calling everyone "fucking mad" and then proceeded to post pictures of dead fish alluding to masturbation.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:37 (twenty-one years ago)

This is a link to the thread, so that future generations may learn from our mistakes

Kingfish (Kingfish), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:38 (twenty-one years ago)

mistakes? wtf? who here actually wants to read about mildly kinky sex??

Annouschka (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:49 (twenty-one years ago)

i mean besides b*c*y l*c*s

Annouschka (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:50 (twenty-one years ago)

fine. if you'd like a ""What very kinky things do you do in bed? AND FISTING" thread, feel free to start it up.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:53 (twenty-one years ago)

You are all freaky and subversive souls, who make me sorry I actually missed an interesting thread.

Dammit;>

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:53 (twenty-one years ago)

fine. if you'd like a ""What very kinky things do you do in bed? AND FISTING" thread, feel free to start it up.

i was going in the opposite direction... less stiletto, more cthulhu!

Annouschka (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 3 November 2003 23:56 (twenty-one years ago)

and southall can't post on it!

still, this chick is SO HAPPY to be showing you a statue:

"This statue grants my sexual wishes at night! (*giggle*)"

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 00:13 (twenty-one years ago)

less stiletto, more cthulhu!

OK, here's a very good Cthulhu Mythos sex story, and here's a picture of a green leafy sea dragon fish:

Christine 'Green Leafy Dragon' Indigo (cindigo), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 00:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I was asked! It seemed like a good place to lock it.
No worries, just you know, wondering. I have a hankering to start over using the mighty ',' you know.

i mean besides b*c*y l*c*s

MUST, PLAY, NICELY, MUST, RESIST, URGE!

I AM BURGER KING

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 02:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Even before the seafood intervened, you all missed the whole point of my very mildly kinky thread. My point is that I'm bored bored bored of reading about/looking at/thinking about/doing anything hardcore kinky. As someone said earlier, there's a whole thought-out production quality to it that is tedious and unsexy - and it's just too all over the internet. Besides, fantasies rigorously translated into reality never work. And yet absolutely straight sex becomes pretty unsexy too a few months into a relationship. This is where "very mildly kinky" comes in! It can be spur-of-the-moment, it can be naughty-but-not-too-naughty, it can allude to things without having to completely perform them, it can be that halfway point between fantasy and reality. Criticising "very mildly kinky" for being very mildly kinky is pointless. I don't want hardcore! I sort of want vanilla but with a very mild twist! Vive la revolution "very mildly kinky"!

Very mildly kinky girl, Tuesday, 4 November 2003 10:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Vanilla with chocolate sauce?

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 10:29 (twenty-one years ago)

I will have to fully parse the possible allusions in that suggestion before answering.

Very mildly kinky girl, Tuesday, 4 November 2003 10:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Very mildly kinky sex = sex for normal people, no?

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 11:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I would say so!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 11:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh & chocolate mouse U & K!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 11:33 (twenty-one years ago)

What is "normal people"? I went to a swinger's club once and most of the people looked pretty normal to me.

Very mildly kinky girl, Tuesday, 4 November 2003 12:03 (twenty-one years ago)

No such thing as normal, thnak heaven.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 12:04 (twenty-one years ago)

I am normal. You freaks.

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 13:02 (twenty-one years ago)

*wonders aloud why she ever clicks on any of the threads here that mention the word "bed" in the title without also specifically mentioning "shopping expedition", "furniture store", or "antiques and collectables", or "kinky" without being specifically about kinks in one's hair or in a plan or about Kinky Friedman*

*wonders if those threads, too, would end up being discussions about sex and weird sundry things*

*clearly underestimates the mindset of the average person here*

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 13:31 (twenty-one years ago)

well, it wasn't so much a "mildly kinky" things thread, so much as a "why do stilettos fuck up the bedsheets so?"

things kinda evolved from there. foodstuffs were involved.

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 14:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm a little shocked no one went here:

"Troy McClure? I thought he disappeared after that scandal at the aquarium."

"Gay? I wish! If I were gay they'd be no problem! No, what I have is a romantic abnormality, one so unbelievable that it must be hidden from the public at all cost. You see ..."

brian nemtusak (sanlazaro), Tuesday, 4 November 2003 23:12 (twenty-one years ago)

That was rather my point above.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 5 November 2003 12:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah, missed it. Hats off.

brian nemtusak (sanlazaro), Thursday, 6 November 2003 01:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I have only myself to blame for finding that Fluff image.
