Ohmygod - just had to share this! There's a souped up Cinquecento ( I kid you not) that sits outside our office and plays ned music so loud the windows shake. It has all the ned trimmings, the owner and his little ned chums have been know to gaze admiringly at the sound system in the boot for hours on end.
Anyway, about 5 mins ago he was blasting out Pretty Green Eyes when he got drowned out by a middle aged man in a clapped out old banger playing Billy Joel's Uptown Girl!!! I would have paid money to see the look on his face!

So anyway - Nedmobiles, Classic (for sheer entertainment value) or Dud?

My brother used to have a nedmobile when he was 17 (it had a hole in the exhaust to make it louder!?!?!) and used to get stopped by the police all the time.

Destroy the ones that used to drive by outside my fifth floor office and drown out the gentle sounds of Radio 2. And their occupants.

(btw can someone photoshop Ned into the Popemobile so everyone else has that image in their head too?)

NB "Ned" in this context = nothing to do with mr raggett - it = a glasgow term for young petty crim/drug dealer type IIRC an acronym for "non-educated delinquent" more here:
