as part of the "I'm Lovin' It' campaign. Which, according to Larry Light, McDonald’s Global Chief Marketing Officer is "unprecedented in McDonald’s history as more than 100 countries unite behind a single brand message to our customers.”
Granted, some Asian-Americans may have experienced the less-readily available menu options abroad - India has McAloo Tikka, McVeggie, and the ever-popular McCurry Pan™ - Chicken 'n' Tomato." Or Thailand's ,delicious ซามูไรเบอร์เกอร์ (Samurai Pork Burger), and may walk into the Golden Arches on their own, longing for those deep fried taste-of-home cuisines. And certainly the majority of Asian-Americans (hell, all Americans) can't walk to the mailbox without passing a glowing M, so it's unlikely to suggest that Kroc's empire's trying to win new recruits. This pandering income-, race-, and education- sensitive marketing represents a new line of asskissing, methinks.
I'm gonna go punch the shit out of Ronald McDonald (err, the more easily pronouncable Japanese'Donald McDonald') if I have to hear the 'hip' Asian-American counterpart of "Oh, girl those pants are a little too tight... but I'm lovin' it!"

I think the reason why they consider this ad campaign so successful is because the jingle is so damned annoying (perhaps a sing of the most successful spots). AAAAAH!!--lodged in my brain and I curse the earth and the people who created/co-opted the jingle and dispersed it because for no better and worse I am taking it to my grave and no amount of Pure Moods listening sessions can wash it out.

Had one just today as a matter of fact! Terrible!
(though I think it's because I got it grilled and so the chicken was really slimy)
