You have another six hours. Dance for me, children. Or suggest things I could do to make this purgatory a CRAZY one.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Outside the West Coast sun beats down on the beautiful city of San Francisco, yet here I sit, alone in a giant underground room with no windows.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:29 (twenty-one years ago)

*points and laughs, because I am cruel*

I just came from the outside myself. It's nice out there. I will return to it.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Here, it is a dark and rather pleasent Saturday evening.

To entertain you, I will commentate on the Portsmouth vs Arsenal match for you.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:31 (twenty-one years ago)

After the goal kick, Portsmouth are caught offside.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Johnney, you don't know how much that would please me.

*weeps for football*

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Hislop clears and Arsenal push forward, but the attack breaks down.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Mud!

Gregory Henry (Gregory Henry), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Ummmm....are Man U playing today? It's the Fulham game, right?

(Sorry, carry on, this is great)

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:33 (twenty-one years ago)

The young spaniard tries to shoot, but makes a right mess of it.

Goal kick.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I just got back from the thrift store, wanna hear what i bought?

scott seward (scott seward), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Man U did play Fulham today. 2-1 Man U. Van Nistelroy scored them both, so I'm told.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:34 (twenty-one years ago)

My roommate just threw up. I'm gonna have a lot of trouble wiping the smile off of my face today.

Kenny Blankenship (Bryan), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Arsenal push it around at the back, then drive forward.

A bit on confuson is midfield - but a swift pass to Henrys feet gets cleared.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Is your roommate a tool?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:35 (twenty-one years ago)

No, she's a very nice girl. It's just funny.

Kenny Blankenship (Bryan), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Portsmouth on the attack, and whilst the ball is in the corner, the Portsmouth player gives Campbell a shove off teh field, and Arsenal win a free kick.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay, I'm bored now. I am now in need of the entertaining.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:37 (twenty-one years ago)

go to seanbaby.com. That site is hilarious.

and for further entertainment....

I just got back from the thrift store, wanna hear what i bought?

Yes!

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I haven't talked to her about it yet but I'm guessing it was from participating as a judge in a cocktail making competition last night.

Kenny Blankenship (Bryan), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay, first up i got a sealed VHS copy of Roujin 2, which is an anime movie i have never seen by the dude who directed Akira. I'm not a huge anime guy or anything, but for 2 bucks i figured....plus, i finally watched Spirited Away which i loved and i'm kinda in the mood.

scott seward (scott seward), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Next, i got a double VHS pack with 2 Werewolf movies. One tape is Moon of the Wolf starring David Janssen and Bradford Dillman and the other tape is Scream of the Wolf starring Peter Graves. That was 3 bucks.

scott seward (scott seward), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:48 (twenty-one years ago)

3-0. Henry just seems to move loads faster than everyone else on the pitch, it's like Sensible Soccer or something.

Is this Mornar chap the same guy who kept becoming the best player on earth in CM2?

Gregory Henry (Gregory Henry), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:54 (twenty-one years ago)

The event my roommate was drinking at was called "Iron Chef: Alcohol".

Kenny Blankenship (Bryan), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Then i got a bunch of 45 RPM singles with picture sleeves. They were 50 cents. I got: Theatre of Hate - "Do You Believe In The West World/"Propaganda" on Burning Rome records from 1981(produced by Mick Jones-I'm assuming it's THAT Mick Jones), Imagination - "Just An Illusion"/"Just An Illusion" instrumental On Arrival Records (Swedish pressing/Swain & Jolley Production-plus they wrote the song-I've never heard it.), Bolland - "You're In The Army Now"/"The Domino Theory Theme" on CBS (Dutch pressing-have no idea what it is-1982), and 3 45 RPM E.P.'s by some Swedish singer of songs by the name of Margareta Kjellberg. (featuring Roland Bengtsson on gitarr och cittra. Look like they are from the 50's. great shape though. and great covers. On the Swedish division of Decca)

scott seward (scott seward), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeh, I think it is Greg. How the mighty have fallen!

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

And i got a copy of Linton Kwesi Johnson's Forces Of Victory on Mango and a copy of It's Time For Jonathan Richman by Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers on Upside/Rough Trade from 1986. They were a dollar apiece.

scott seward (scott seward), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:01 (twenty-one years ago)

And i got 3 plastic bowls for 25 cents apiece and a little sweater for baby rufus that was a dollar.

scott seward (scott seward), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:01 (twenty-one years ago)

scott, this thrift store sounds pretty good!

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:02 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, it's not bad. there are only two thrift stores where i live and i always manage to find something. sometimes i just buy stuff for no reason though cuz i get bored. i got the Kiss multi-CD box set at this one for ten bucks.i don't really listen to it, but it's kinda cool to have.

scott seward (scott seward), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Let's all go visit Martha's Vineyard and shop at Scott's thrift store. And then visit his house and steal his Katatonia CDs and replace them with Smashing Pumpkins CDs. Wait, he might complain.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:06 (twenty-one years ago)

i would have a heart attack. but if you are ever on the island feel free to call me up and buy me beer.

scott seward (scott seward), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I can do that.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Sitting here, it now occurs to me that 65% of our paperwork is done on Chipotle napkins.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:24 (twenty-one years ago)

We're so damn outre'.

Visitors are now telling me what a beautiful day it is outside. Fuck you, responsibilty.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:32 (twenty-one years ago)

My screenshot's better.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:38 (twenty-one years ago)

A dark underground room is classic for vaticination. All you need is a good fumarole.

(xpost)

Aimless (Aimless), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Get on the phone and order some intoxicating honey, kim chee and spring rolls.

Aimless (Aimless), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:48 (twenty-one years ago)

*singing, dancing, falling over 'cause I have a hangover*

luna (luna.c), Saturday, 6 March 2004 19:50 (twenty-one years ago)

No-no-no-noo-nooooooooo, @d@ml! You amuse me, for I have to be at home - working...

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Saturday, 6 March 2004 20:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, I'm sitting at home with my feet up, supping on a good rioja and listening to Charm of the Highway Strip.

Just thought you'd like to know.

(tee hee hee!)

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 20:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I am now playing Ruff Sqwad sets at full volume and drinking a heart attack size "Fog Lifter" coffee. Bring on the apocalypse.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 6 March 2004 20:32 (twenty-one years ago)

@d@ml, I thought you were hard at work, striving for the American Dream.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Saturday, 6 March 2004 20:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Even in my sleep I strive. My job is 75% running around like a headless chicken/25% sitting primed waiting for the inevitable chicken moment.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 6 March 2004 20:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Our technical director just came in to shake my hand (this happens a lot, I'm not sure why) while I was furiously scratching my exposed and itchy feet behind the desk.

taking your shoes off at work

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 6 March 2004 20:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Let's hope he doesn't get a fungus.

New Animal Collective

Junior Kimborough

A student overheard me listening to some Sun Ra/Yochannan thing and loudly procalimed me to be a homosexual, just not in those words. What are they feeding these people?

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 3 April 2004 19:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyone in the dowtown SF area want to bring me a sandwich? It must be sourdough, or something without gluten. And very soft. I have a volatile stomach.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Saturday, 3 April 2004 21:37 (twenty-one years ago)

A student overheard me listening to some Sun Ra/Yochannan thing and loudly procalimed me to be a homosexual, just not in those words.

Yeah, because "Hot Skillet Mama" is so obviously a homosexual song. I suggest beatings.
