hi kids! it's strongo. i was thinking about this earlier today at work after reading some 2001 threads this morning. remember when we all thought talking about rudy huxtables clitoris was the lowest ilx could go? seems a bit quaint now, like a woman in one of those full length stripey bathing suits showing her ankles on the beach. so what IS the lowest, most disgusting, inappropriate thing ever posted to ilx?

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:31 (twenty-one years ago)

(mostly i just started this thread to use the phrase "rudy huxtable's clitoris".)

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Jeez.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:33 (twenty-one years ago)

You're the one that brought the Tubgirl!

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:33 (twenty-one years ago)

There are too many low moments to think of just one.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:33 (twenty-one years ago)

i didn't bring tubgirl!!

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi, Strongo! This is Juan Valdez from Columbia. Long time first time. I'd like to pre-emptively nominate this thread for the ILX nadir, because I see lots of nasty shit going on in here, unless my post kills the voibe. In any case, I have coffee, so fuck off.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh...sorry.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:35 (twenty-one years ago)

haha popshots yr just embarassed that rudy's clit was YOU

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:35 (twenty-one years ago)

What about Yanc3y's fat slapping roomie story? That was pretty low! No, wait. I'm sure Chris V has topped that one...

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:35 (twenty-one years ago)

That "fuck off" was meant in a cute, puggy sort of way, FYI.

x-post I'm just ashamed that MY ACTUAL FULL NAME is associated with Cosby clit.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:36 (twenty-one years ago)

hi strongo!! I nominate b*ck* l*c*s suggesting that hang on let's see if I can find it. aha here:

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:39 (twenty-one years ago)

memory, all alone in the moonlight!

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:40 (twenty-one years ago)

The second post especially.

My lowest = every time I argued w/c*l*m.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't find the thing I said about babyfucking last week, but that was the lowest point for me.

NA (Nick A.), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:41 (twenty-one years ago)

what's the HIGHEST ilx has gone?

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:42 (twenty-one years ago)

The detailed description of how I shit out my own cum was quite good.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:43 (twenty-one years ago)

thank you for making me puke on my laptop!

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:43 (twenty-one years ago)

The highest ILX has ever gone = nickalicious.

NA (Nick A.), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:43 (twenty-one years ago)

i was considering making a nickalicious joke myself

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:43 (twenty-one years ago)

other ultra-low = any meta-related flamewar.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 21 May 2004 20:45 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm gonna go with "rudy's clit"

oops (Oops), Friday, 21 May 2004 21:01 (twenty-one years ago)

oops (Oops), Friday, 21 May 2004 21:01 (twenty-one years ago)

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 21 May 2004 21:02 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm rather proud of the "fish/tentacle sex/stiletto heels" thread that we were able to ruin and lock a few months ago...

Kingfish Disraeli (Kingfish), Friday, 21 May 2004 21:05 (twenty-one years ago)

me too

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Friday, 21 May 2004 21:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh god that was all me, wasn't it?

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Friday, 21 May 2004 21:06 (twenty-one years ago)

yup

Kingfish Disraeli (Kingfish), Friday, 21 May 2004 21:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Link it please. I need to see the full extent of the horror.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Friday, 21 May 2004 21:20 (twenty-one years ago)

It's OK, I found it.

What very mildly kinky things do you do in bed?

Yes, it is the lowest. And also some of the funniest, too.

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Friday, 21 May 2004 21:27 (twenty-one years ago)

There was this one time Dante goaded Aja into letting us all know when and how she got her first period, and I dunno about you guys, but that about did it for me.

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Jesus, I'm glad I missed that.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:34 (twenty-one years ago)

So am I, gah.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Ack. Over half the shit Dante has said is stuff I wished I'd missed.

The other half is moronic.

martin m. (mushrush), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:36 (twenty-one years ago)

It must have involved Avril.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Count me in on the 'boy, Dante and Aja talking away from my sphere of direct participation is nice' feeling.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:42 (twenty-one years ago)

What's the lowest Ned has gone?

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:43 (twenty-one years ago)

i was going to say dante, too, but it's possibly the story about my friend getting covered in someone else's shit on train.

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:46 (twenty-one years ago)

The lowest ILX has gone, in a very abstract way, is all the scenarios my mind has come up to fill in the gaps in the Phil-Two Chinese train guard story, which I am resigned to never hearing.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:48 (twenty-one years ago)

and what the hell is tubgirl - i missed that one - or do i really not want to know?

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:48 (twenty-one years ago)

What's the lowest Ned has gone?

Good question.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Dave, you really don't want to know. I don't want to be the one to link it for you.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:50 (twenty-one years ago)

i feel i have to now but i'm too sacerd to look for it, especially to google it

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Adam, if you're very nice, I'll tell you the train story at some point.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:51 (twenty-one years ago)

You don't have to google it, it's just tubgirl.com innit?

Leeefuse 73 (Leee), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:51 (twenty-one years ago)

MY FUCKING TYPING IS THE LOWEST ILX HAS GONE!

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:51 (twenty-one years ago)

i don't think i want to know now

Dave Stelfox (Dave Stelfox), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Chris - yes, please. I would also like you to impersonate Huck for me.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Friday, 21 May 2004 22:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Uh, I don't really do a Huck impersonation. It's easy enough to hear his voice, though, if you're in the know. It's not like he walks funny or anything.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 21 May 2004 23:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not in the know!

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Friday, 21 May 2004 23:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I know! You never IM me anymore.

Casuistry (Chris P), Friday, 21 May 2004 23:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry. Not much time.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Friday, 21 May 2004 23:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Hahaha! Even though I have been on ILX all day.

I don't have AIM at work.

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Friday, 21 May 2004 23:38 (twenty-one years ago)

ok, i agree, some of the dante shit was the lowest.

xpost Try "Aim Express"

Kingfish Disraeli (Kingfish), Friday, 21 May 2004 23:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I just looked at that Marcello thread. That was pretty pathetic.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 21 May 2004 23:58 (twenty-one years ago)

the lowest Ned has sunk: I believe he once failed to wipe his feet on the mat before entering a thread.

David R. (popshots75`), Saturday, 22 May 2004 00:55 (twenty-one years ago)

that "mildly kinky things" thread is one of the funniest things I've ever read here.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 22 May 2004 08:08 (twenty-one years ago)

It could be argued that the suicide thread that we had a while back (with live pictures of the guy threatening to jump) was the lowest point, morale-wise, that we've gone.

Saying that, it was also the thread that spoke to me more than anything else, as it said something rather important about how people interact with the internet generally, and ILX specifically. So maybe it's the highest point as well? I dunno.

Johnney B, Saturday, 22 May 2004 08:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Are we limited to the stuff the mods deemed borderline enough to leave on? If so, the poo thread must go close. The Marcello threads would be among the most bombastic ever but that's a slightly different subject.

Otherwise, who can go past C@#$M ?

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Saturday, 22 May 2004 08:18 (twenty-one years ago)

The suicide thread did actually wake people up - there was some genuine disgust on that thread. But I'm going to go with the explanation of MUNGING.

OTM. That shit is seriously hunting my wumpus, dudes.

Ian Johnson (orion), Sunday, 23 May 2004 03:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I third the suicide on the roof thread. That's the one thread that's really made me think "woah, something really unpleasantly significant just happened here."

Not ONE mention of the Aja-Dante-BurmaKitty grooming/child p0rn pics mentalism just before New Year. At that point I actually thought ILX was over.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Sunday, 23 May 2004 15:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't remember if I ever mentioned this or not, but my first encounter with Tubgirl was when Kodanishi inserted some kind of script that summoned maybe hundreds of huge Tubgirl pop-ups to emerge on my computer AT WORK. I managed to shut down my browser seconds before my boss casually walked into the room.

My co-worker heard me gasp and saw me panic. "What's wrong?" "YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW."

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Sunday, 23 May 2004 16:27 (twenty-one years ago)

(There was also a time at work when I was clicking through the NYLPM referrer logs and a page with an enormous picture of extremely naked children.)

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Sunday, 23 May 2004 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Is the suicide thread still archived? I had a look but couldn't find it - I thought maybe it had been deletd. That would be a shame, as although it was unpleasent, it was also extremely important.

What unpleasentness before new year? I must have missed that one completely - maybe I was just skipping the no-doubt enormous threads that the nastiness was contained on.

Johnney B, Sunday, 23 May 2004 17:45 (twenty-one years ago)

There's a guy outside my window who's been threatening to jump all night!

:|, Sunday, 23 May 2004 17:51 (twenty-one years ago)

That thread contained it all: the joking-but-horrifyingly-tasteless disregard for human life; the condescending, sanctimonious condemnation of the former; the petty sniping back and forth after all was said and done...

Thanks for reminding me that I hate people.

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 24 May 2004 00:14 (twenty-one years ago)

It was probably the truest and most honest ILx thread. Still, the chap didn't jump in the end, so I don't suppose it's of any consequence.

Marcello Carlin, Monday, 24 May 2004 08:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh hang on a second, I've just seen the updates on the thread about me - which I didn't start - with responses so predictable, especially from the Beavis and Butthead of ILx, that I could have written them myself. Perhaps I did write them myself. No one knows what the bluesman knows.

Marcello Carlin, Monday, 24 May 2004 08:50 (twenty-one years ago)

the most offensive thing about that thread is the holier-than-thou attitude here and there

stevem (blueski), Monday, 24 May 2004 08:53 (twenty-one years ago)

(x-post - i meant the 'suicide' thread)

the thread about marcello is not really worth talking about, certainly not on this thread

stevem (blueski), Monday, 24 May 2004 08:54 (twenty-one years ago)

It was long before i GOT HERE, SO i DON'T KNOW THE rl CONTEXt but the hating on graham WA, I think, the lowest. but as A NON-fapper, YOU HAVe a different perspective.

Enrique (Enrique), Monday, 24 May 2004 08:56 (twenty-one years ago)

gareth reminded me about the 'non-fapper' aspect which i am possibly under-estimating the effect of when it comes to making the kind of posts i sometimes make with the attitude i sometimes have (jokey sarcasm hopping gleefully between ironic self-deprectation and playground pigtail-pulling because the humour lies in the absurdity of my doing that rather than what is actually being said). although i am not quite fully convinced it is definitely a 'BAD' way to behave.

stevem (blueski), Monday, 24 May 2004 08:59 (twenty-one years ago)

The Stelfox vs Carmody thread was pretty low, although I understand why DS wanted to start it. I like both DS & RC so I kept well out of it, and I'm glad it was deleted.

Robin also did the right thing in keeping well out of that thread. Me, I just wade in like an idiot and fire back. That'll teach me not to try it. A very dispiriting read.

Anyway I don't have much time to hang around ILx today so I'll leave it at that.

Marcello Carlin, Monday, 24 May 2004 09:02 (twenty-one years ago)

(by that i mean when other people see what you have posted how does it make you look? but why should they care? and why should i care? worrying about what other people i don't even know think is something that held me back in the past - and continues to today in some ways, and that's something that counters this idea of just being nice and obedient and 'silent' on certain issues on ILX at all times, however sincere/insincere but i don't see that as very constructive particularly)

stevem (blueski), Monday, 24 May 2004 09:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I didn't know Carmody vs Stelfox was deleted. I don't see the point of doing that retrospectively really. I like both of 'em also, feel I know Carmody better, being the same age, having had scarily similar cultural interests etc.

Enrique (Enrique), Monday, 24 May 2004 09:09 (twenty-one years ago)

by that i mean when other people see what you have posted how does it make you look?

it's weird. i'd advise any newcomers to do a lot of lurking, and to keep their powder dry, basically. cos you end up jumping into stuff without knowing anything about it. like the government. it took me a few months to really recognise names and identities of semi-regulars, which is dangerous ground. i still get some people confused.

Enrique (Enrique), Monday, 24 May 2004 09:12 (twenty-one years ago)

i did as well at first, it was a while before i started going out and meeting people thru this bitch - there were a few people i read comments of and decided i didn't like much based on minor arguments - nothing serious at all. then when i met them i thought they were great and as mentioned on that marcello thread, just seemed friendlier - as did i i expect. i don't think you can avoid forming opinions/ideas of people online before you meet them, but you should always remember it doesn't represent them fully as they really are and to base your judgements on a bogus assumption like that strikes me as naive and unwise.

stevem (blueski), Monday, 24 May 2004 09:16 (twenty-one years ago)

"I'm sure Chris V has topped that one..."

Oh come on Sarah. I'm not all that bad.

Chris 'The Velvet Bingo' V (Chris V), Monday, 24 May 2004 09:52 (twenty-one years ago)

dude you made me check out tubgirl.com you are a bunch of freaks

Frank Swedehead, Monday, 24 May 2004 20:44 (twenty-one years ago)

There was nothing whatsoever uncalled for or beyond the pale about the Graham threads when you consider the way in which he behaved both on and off the boards, if only because no one really overstepped the mark that much. I wouldn't say the same about the recent Marcello thread, and heaven knows there's little love lost between us.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 24 May 2004 20:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I wouldn't say those threads are a nadir though. Just a bit...pointless.

Matt (Matt), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 07:02 (twenty-one years ago)

That's sort of what I mean: unless you know the whole context (and I don't) you get a really skewed perspective: knowing nothing of Graham's offline behavious, and very little of his online misdemeanours, the threads seemed harsh to me -- but I totally acknowledge that I've a very limited perspective on this.

Enrique (Enrique), Tuesday, 25 May 2004 07:16 (twenty-one years ago)
