Seeing as we'll be off:

1) Who will be gone?
2) What else will happen?

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:13 (twenty years ago)

YOU'RE GAY

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:15 (twenty years ago)

oh, shit!!!

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:16 (twenty years ago)

The housemates will wake up one morning to discover some scary looking pissed blokes stumbling around the garden, then will realise that "Evil" Big brother has placed crates of Stella in a prominent position.

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:16 (twenty years ago)

that was me, before, sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU'RE GAY

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:16 (twenty years ago)

You were in uniform?

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:18 (twenty years ago)

I'M NAKED

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:18 (twenty years ago)

RJG, I am going to get you!

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:24 (twenty years ago)

Not while you're naked though.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:25 (twenty years ago)

I'm not really naked; I'm on ally's bed

:' (

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:26 (twenty years ago)

You cuckoo

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:30 (twenty years ago)

aye-aye

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:32 (twenty years ago)

That about sums it up for me!

___ (___), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:34 (twenty years ago)

cathy and I thought they should send, like, a dog in, to the house, in the middle of the night, to scare the housemates. well, I thought it. cathy suggested they just send plagues of insects and stuff. I think they should send a plague of cuckoos, then a plague of aye-ayes, then a plague of...I dunno.

that's my two weeks hope.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:37 (twenty years ago)

My go:

Marco gone, Jason gone, and *All* the housemates up for voting out by the time ILX back. And Becki will be favourite to go (or Victor).

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:39 (twenty years ago)

RJG used up all the hope.

cºzen (Cozen), Thursday, 1 July 2004 16:19 (twenty years ago)

naked on ally's bed.

cºzen (Cozen), Thursday, 1 July 2004 16:19 (twenty years ago)

Can we send them a load of plagues, followed by an angel of death to kill their firstborn sons?

caitlin (caitlin), Thursday, 1 July 2004 16:55 (twenty years ago)

Send in the 4 horsemen too? Or perhaps just Mr. Ed, who is scarier than all of the above put together really. C'mon, a talking horse? Now that's some serious evil.

gizmo (gizmo), Thursday, 1 July 2004 20:29 (twenty years ago)

I want to see how Victor would respond to Mr Ed.

"He's gotta understand, man, there's only one stallion in this house"

caitlin (caitlin), Thursday, 1 July 2004 20:35 (twenty years ago)

" i got girff too, yeah"

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 1 July 2004 20:50 (twenty years ago)

"I'm gonna start sending a few suckers to the glue factory 'round here"

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 1 July 2004 21:02 (twenty years ago)

"i'm the mane man around ere"

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 1 July 2004 21:19 (twenty years ago)

"people call me the grand national, because I go on for ages, there is lots of jumping, and afterwards lots of abnormally small men feel like they've been dragged through a fucking hedge innit"

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 1 July 2004 21:26 (twenty years ago)

"I've declared myself the JP McManus of the house"

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 1 July 2004 21:55 (twenty years ago)

Marco to go tonight, Jason next week (in a contest between him and Nadia), Becki and Nadia to be up as ilX comes back on, with Becki going.

Jason to be a grumpy cnut, Nadia to turn into an OK person without Marco in the house, Ahmed to start enjoying himself again, again, and to cop off with Becki once Jason has left the house. Stuart to dump Michelle, with her asking (and being refused) to leave. Shell to get her kit off at some point. Dan to be 'nice'. Victor to be the George Bush of the house.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Friday, 2 July 2004 08:18 (twenty years ago)

Stu to go the whole hog and have a sex change! Nadia will carry out the operation. Michelle will promptly dump Stu.

zebedee (zebedee), Friday, 2 July 2004 09:15 (twenty years ago)

I am moving into the house -- fact, actually.

Enrique (Enrique), Friday, 2 July 2004 09:15 (twenty years ago)

yesterday, Stuart 2Hey, cross dressing"
Michelle "NO!"

Presumably not wanting a 'les exp'

mark grout (mark grout), Friday, 2 July 2004 09:16 (twenty years ago)

two weeks pass...
My go:
Marco gone, Jason gone, and *All* the housemates up for voting out by the time ILX back. And Becki will be favourite to go (or Victor).

So, I was closest. Except Jason is not gone.

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 08:20 (twenty years ago)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaanyhow.

The pretendy wedding is on Wednesday. The groom is Victor, the bride is Shell. Apparently Michelle is disappointed.

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 08:34 (twenty years ago)

victor last night:
[Much ranting about how the rest of the house is his bitch.]
followed immediately by:
"Oh, and can we have some more bread and milk?"

he probably has a hedgehog to feed. or something.

koogs (koogs), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 08:41 (twenty years ago)

"Can we have some more bread and milk" is easily moment of the series so far, especially as it followed a "fo shizzle ma nizzle" and a promise that "they're all in my pocket".

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 08:43 (twenty years ago)

jason can NOT escape this week
it seems like victor hate outweights the love so he might go in the last "vote out" eviction next week (up against Nadia and Dan?), which is a shame. i'd love to see him in the last 4 or 5.

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 08:44 (twenty years ago)

Dermot let slip on BBLB yesterday that Jason is up for nomnation this week (he asked a guest if they were coming back to support Jason on Friday).

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 08:57 (twenty years ago)

he probably has a hedgehog to feed. or something.
Dude, you shouldn't feed hedgehogs milk, ya get me?

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 09:04 (twenty years ago)

Victor was quite cute in the diary room, probably a deliberate tic tac of his.

Somehow he even managed to make proclaiming oneself 'a loveable rogue' and 'the man you love to hate' endearing.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 09:09 (twenty years ago)

Victor is a tw@t! If we talking like that to everyone outside of the diary room & then speaking normally in the diary room, now that would be funny. As it is, he is just an irritant. Oh, & that anooying nose twitch he has.

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 09:12 (twenty years ago)

yeah, but that would be no way to avoid nomination. (OK, this is no way to win either, but still)

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 09:18 (twenty years ago)

I want Victor to go this week, for the solely selfish purpose of that WE ARE ATTENDING THE LIVE EVICTION and I want someone who can give good eviction without getting Dan or Stuart out of the house. Shell would be dull, Jason would be alright to go I suppose, there's no WAY Nadia will be evicted and the same goes for Michelle. I'm just worried there's going to be more Big Brother manipulation going on regarding the nominees...

Sarah (starry), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 09:19 (twenty years ago)

Why is Nadia so popular? I don't get it.

VIC-VIP-RIP

Enrique (Enrique), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 09:22 (twenty years ago)

Well they have to have 2 double evictions if they want to have 3 left at the end. Maybe you'll get to see Jason & victor evicted!

Pinkpanther (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 09:23 (twenty years ago)

Channel 4 deceded a few weeks ago that they wanted Nadia to win and have done as much as they can to make sure it happens and it will, of course. I'm not the least bit surprised by this (it's happened almost every year so far) i just wonder why they have chosen her above all others? she's pretty fucking annoying.

jed_ (jed), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 09:48 (twenty years ago)

one this week, one next week, leaves 5. one mid week of last week, last 4 go to last day. 4th and 3rd in quick succession on the night.

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 09:50 (twenty years ago)

how have c4 done that? maybe i'm impervious and objective or something, but the footage i've seen has *almost* made me prefer jason. she's very very annoying.

ENRQ (Enrique), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 09:51 (twenty years ago)

soz. but victor ruled last night in the diary room. all the street hard talking .. then 'can we have 2 pints of milk and a loaf of bread' absolutely my fave part of the whole thing so far. and yes Nadia will win .. it has been decided upon. which is a real shame as i dont think she is in the slightest bit interesting. annoying ? damn, yes.

mark e (mark e), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 09:57 (twenty years ago)

I want Nadia to win as well, she's not that annoying and I think it'd mean more to her than to, say, Dan or Shell, even though I probably like them better.

The Lex (The Lex), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 10:00 (twenty years ago)

The Milk and Bread was pretty good but doesn't beat him ending his chat about the cold showers with "I've already got a bit of a sniffle"

Davel (Davel), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 10:01 (twenty years ago)

>Dude, you shouldn't feed hedgehogs milk, ya get me?

you are right. catfood is better.

koogs (koogs), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 10:20 (twenty years ago)

He smirked through the milk and bread request, which made it a bit more obviously prepared and less funny, but still, yeah.

I loved the blatant anti-Stuart editing of last night's final five minutes. First him being all triumphalist about not having been nominated, then that truly horrifying weightlifting hall of mirrors, then the bum preening.

Alba (Alba), Tuesday, 20 July 2004 10:23 (twenty years ago)

It's possible that Stuart's parents threatened him in some way if he made a show of them in the house. I reckon having sex with your scarey girlfriend counts as an embarrassment.

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:21 (twenty years ago)

I'm pretty sure Nadia has been favourite for more than a week, hasn't she?

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:21 (twenty years ago)

they may not even have known he was going in. i do feel sorry for the boy though, the way he spent time walking round the table checking the views afterwards. He looked crestfallen.

xpost, she has yes.

jed_ (jed), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:23 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, I really like Stuart now. I think he's replaced Dan as my second choice to win. Also, I think he actually has a chance, unlike Shell and Dan.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:28 (twenty years ago)

this week's will be the first interesting eviction anyway. They are all so sure that Vic is going to leave (because of the booing after his name was called last week) that the look on everyone's face when jason's name is called will be classic. will vic be able to hide his surprise/glee?

jed_ (jed), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:30 (twenty years ago)

So, tell me why lovely Shell doesn't have a chance of winning? And why Nadia's a shoe-in? I presume the bookies pay close attention to voting patterns more than anything else, so I have to say I'm baffled.

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:33 (twenty years ago)

me too.

Dan and Shell discussing failing the task and having to live off basic rations for the week and potentially incurring victor's wrath:

She told Dan if they lost the shopping, "[Vic's] going to go nuts at us."

"It wont affect him anyway," said Dan, apparently certain of Victor's departure on Friday.

jed_ (jed), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:37 (twenty years ago)

The bookies only concern is how much money bet on each person.

Looking briefly at the odds, and my maths could be way out, and a bit wrong, currently out of every £100 bet £60 is on Nadia to win, £15 on Dan, shell only £5 and Jason only 50p

Davel (Davel), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:41 (twenty years ago)

People don't dislike Shell, but when it comes to actually voting for the winner out of the final three, I don't get the sense that many of the typical BB voters will feel strongly enough about her.

They like to vote for someone who's a 'national treasure' in some way, I think, as well as someone who's not a threat to them in any way. Women rarely win, but Nadia is a special case, being a crazy Portuguese transsexual.

I do think the odds on Nadia should be (maybe are) lengthening. She's in a real rut at the moment - as I said I think unless she perks up, she's in danger of having peaked too early. I think a lot could still change, depending on what happens in the next couple of weeks.

I'd say Dan, Shell and Jason are the only ones who I can't imagine winning it.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:42 (twenty years ago)

The odds on Nadia will only go out if people are betting elsewhere.

Davel (Davel), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:45 (twenty years ago)

But how can they possibly fail the task?

xpost Dan 'could' win. Stuart is a good looking chap but has no pers. away from Michelle.

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:45 (twenty years ago)

would channel4/endemol respond to anyone else in the house's pleading desperate request for a luxury (albeit and addictive luxury) item?

x post - they currently have a mini-task involving pole dancing (!) according to ds:bb

jed_ (jed), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:47 (twenty years ago)

oh, OK. ta.

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:50 (twenty years ago)

You really can't imagine Dan winning? I'm sticking to my guns and still reckon he will.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 10:56 (twenty years ago)

i tend to follow the txt messages on the late night live broadcasts to guage who is popular at any given time among likely voters.

in week 1 nobody was saying "nadia 2 win" at all, or even mentioning her much, but for about the last 3 weeks the majority of txts seem to say this. mind you, Ahmed was also getting a lot of +ve txts about 5 days before he got evicted - his behaviour during the boot camp task probably did for him. Victor is still running about 50-50 on supportive and negative txts.

zebedee (zebedee), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 11:16 (twenty years ago)

First UKIP and now Nadia with a chance of winning. I feel out of touch w/ this country. Shell has grown on me a lot, and is obv the prettiest, so her to win. Dan I initally liked but, like Victor, he's deep into self-parody territory. Michelle again I did want to win but she's gone a little bit too far towards 'psycho hose beast'.

Enrique (Enrique), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 12:10 (twenty years ago)

I think Victor is amazing, if he comes out winner he'ls think he's a god, a star and the cleverest man in Britain.

How cool would that be?

mei (mei), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 12:16 (twenty years ago)

Victor, on not winning:

"Oho! would'st had been done! Thou didst prevent me; I had peopled
else this isle with Victors. Shizzle my nizzle!"

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 12:31 (twenty years ago)

Stuart is a good looking chap but has no pers. away from Michelle

And not that much with her either. The Emma and Michelle double act > > > the Stuart and Michelle double act.

The only people I can't see winning are Michelle and Jason.

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 12:50 (twenty years ago)

I still think Michelle will win.

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 12:51 (twenty years ago)

I like stuart, now -- he says funny things, now and then.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 12:55 (twenty years ago)

I think Stuart should just out himself and be done with it, get it on with Dan under that table.

mei (mei), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 13:42 (twenty years ago)

Not that I have any basis for that, but it would be good viewing.

mei (mei), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 13:43 (twenty years ago)

Rapper slash part-time hitman!

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 20:28 (twenty years ago)

"Last night when I was bird-watching, I saw a swallow"

Mooro (Mooro), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 21:08 (twenty years ago)

so what happened between vic and shell?

Ste (Fuzzy), Wednesday, 21 July 2004 23:20 (twenty years ago)

-"What're these ball things?"
-"Scotch eggs"
-"Why they so small then?"

Gregory Henry (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 22 July 2004 00:40 (twenty years ago)

Women rarely win

Eh? There've only been three winners so far and one was a woman. All it takes is one more and we're back to 50/50.

I'm getting increasingly pissed off with Michelle's double standards and insensitivity - it's OK for her to lick jam off nipples but not for him to get in the jacuzzi with other girls and she's happy to brag to her mates (and x million viewers) about what she's up to, even though he's asked her to keep it quiet. I honestly don't know why Stuart hasn't just said "look, I'm a private person and I don't want to do anything in front of any cameras". Unfortunately, I can see him caving in to the promise of OK cash and staying with her for a month or so after they come out of the house to do a couple of photo shoots and Our Story interviews but they're definitely not going to turn into Helen and Paul.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 22 July 2004 09:18 (twenty years ago)

There have been four winners so far and only one has been a woman. Keep up!

Also, I was talking in a broader international context.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 22 July 2004 09:30 (twenty years ago)

OK, I forgot Craig (it's understandable).

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 22 July 2004 09:53 (twenty years ago)

A whole page of Vic's Quips:

http://bigbrother.channel4.com/bigbrother/news/newsstory.jsp?id=6553

Mooro (Mooro), Thursday, 22 July 2004 15:40 (twenty years ago)

"look, I'm a private person and I don't want to do anything in front of any cameras".

That would be more believeable if he hadn't got involved with her in the first place, or if he wasn't in a house surrounded by cameras watching his every move.

I like the virgin theory. Also the psychologist lady on BBLB today had a good theory - that he hides behind her loud personality to make himself seem more harmless and pleasant.

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Thursday, 22 July 2004 16:44 (twenty years ago)

I dunno, I could probably snog on camera but would no way do the deed.

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 22 July 2004 21:22 (twenty years ago)

I would do the deed in front of a camera in a heartbeat but my wife wouldn't, ergo there will be no deed-doing coming from me.

Not that I'm on Big Brother UK.

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 22 July 2004 21:43 (twenty years ago)

Which is something I lament with every passing day.

Victor was quite revelaing last night -- he has four sisters, so doesn't seem to find anything odd about his, uh, direct way of handling angered females.

Enrique (Enrique), Friday, 23 July 2004 07:08 (twenty years ago)

Victor seems to have a pathological inability to grasp the concept that not everyone else in the world thinks like he does, and not everyone else in the house has the same massive hangups that they are simply better at hiding.

Dan totally 0WN3D Victor last night without even having to say very much. Also he looked like a Tim Burton character sitting in that suit, grinning manaically at Victor.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 23 July 2004 07:19 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, that was classy. I kind of feel Stuart is being a dick just by not taking sides in this stuff. But the whole 'fence-sitting' thing I don't understand: J and V keep banging on about people sitting on the fence and not calling it like they see it. But all *they* do is bitch and piss together. They never call anyone out on shit!

Enrique (Enrique), Friday, 23 July 2004 07:33 (twenty years ago)

but i don't get victor's 'we're providing the entertainment by being characters and having opinions and you're just riding on our coattails' thing. given the choice of voting for somone quiet or someone with 'character' when said characteristics were those he was showing last night, i'll go for the quiet one every time.

(this was followed by another such character in 'Missing Me Already?'. was disappointed when she turned up under the clock in the end.)

that said, ahmed seems to be an entirely different person now he's been re-introduced into society.

koogs (koogs), Friday, 23 July 2004 07:58 (twenty years ago)

You make it sound like a rehabilitation of offenders programme.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:00 (twenty years ago)

If shell was playing a game of staying quiet so as not to be noticed then she is smarter than victor who will almost certainly go!

PinXor (Pinkpanther), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:02 (twenty years ago)

I think Victor calls people out on certain things, just look at last night. Okay he had a bit to drink and got aggro (xpost yes this has not done him any favours with the public), though I liked the way he challenged Dan.

Jason on the other hand is either a coward or very cunning and he doesn't seem to out anybody, as you say he just sits and bitches to Victor about it.

Ste (Fuzzy), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:07 (twenty years ago)

But his call-outs are so lame, they amount osaying... 'you don't call people out'!! What's he really said?

Enrique (Enrique), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:08 (twenty years ago)

"Dan, you kiss arse too much."
"Am I kissing you arse now?"
"......... You're a clever boy, Daniel"

Matt DC (Matt DC), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:12 (twenty years ago)

Big Brother (UK 2004) - Get a room you two... oh you have! : thread 7

maybe we shd!

E-rique (Enrique), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:13 (twenty years ago)

That argument with Dan was so lame on Victor's part. Dan to win!

PinXor (Pinkpanther), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:14 (twenty years ago)

get off this thread you lot ;)

jed_ (jed), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:16 (twenty years ago)

in a minute - unfinished business here.

ahmed seems to be an entirely different person now he's been re-introduced into society

how so? details? (I haven't seen anything of ahmed post-eviction)

zebedee (zebedee), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:19 (twenty years ago)

he's stopped masturbating in front of the mirror apparently.

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:21 (twenty years ago)

> You make it sound like a rehabilitation of offenders programme.

isn't it though? i was thinking more of an insane asylum but... 8)

> how so? details? (I haven't seen anything of ahmed post-eviction)

he's been funny, flirty and kind on bblb this week (was given a choice of three places to visit for the morning, chose the school and seemed to be really genuine and enjoying himself with the kids who were delighted he was there). hasn't been afraid to take the mickey out of himself a bit either (on the floor between two giant slices of bread and assorted salad stuff - 'Dermot, i've changed my mind...')

koogs (koogs), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:27 (twenty years ago)

He's basically loving the limelight.

Alba (Alba), Friday, 23 July 2004 08:32 (twenty years ago)
