That's an excellent shot of Devo!

Haha, I looked at my town's website and here is the photo depicting the neighbourhood my family have lived in for three generations.

The house in the foreground is a restored farmstead. The terracotta-coloured house two along is where my mom and sister still live!

Do you live in Narnia, Caitlin?

Huck, Friday, 27 August 2004 17:09 (twenty years ago)

We did this here, here and here

Why Narnia? I don't get you.

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 27 August 2004 17:16 (twenty years ago)

I'm glad I didn't post to an earlier thread and claim to have been from a different place..

dave225 (Dave225), Friday, 27 August 2004 17:16 (twenty years ago)

That Tower looks magical.

Huck, Friday, 27 August 2004 17:21 (twenty years ago)

There are guided tours of that tower in a few weeks, actually. I'm not going to go, because it's £8 to climb to the top of an empty shell of a building.

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 27 August 2004 17:26 (twenty years ago)

what alex said.

damn you

gabbneb (gabbneb), Saturday, 7 October 2006 01:02 (eighteen years ago)

so what goes on in the norhtwest rooms anyway?

gabbneb (gabbneb), Saturday, 7 October 2006 01:04 (eighteen years ago)

They're moving the Vera Project (an all-ages venue) into some of them. I think they raised close to a million or something for upgrades and refurbishment. It sounds like it should be a good space when it's done.

other than that, art shows? meetings? the nearest public bathrooms are there.

King-a-Ling (King-a-Ling), Saturday, 7 October 2006 01:30 (eighteen years ago)

do you know which Flickr account that first image belongs to, gabbneb, or did you find it somewhere else?

milo z (mlp), Saturday, 7 October 2006 01:32 (eighteen years ago)

not that you asked but s/he shot that with a holga

jelky (jergins), Saturday, 7 October 2006 01:34 (eighteen years ago)

or a Diana/clone. That's one reason I'm curious. Holga quality has gotten too good lately, the last two I bought were reasonably sharp and barely vignetted.

milo z (mlp), Saturday, 7 October 2006 01:42 (eighteen years ago)

holga

this is not our house, but close enough (few blocks away): a typical house in Finneytown, the Cincinnati suburb where I grew up.

this is the Mill Creek just north of downtown Cincinnati: a totally polluted stinking industrial shitstream when I was a lad, now undergoing rehab for recreational use. incredible.

here's the College Hill branch of the Cincinnati Public Library. My mom took me here every week, instilling a lifelong habit/addiction.
