I would like to suggest a new rule for ILX

From now on, if you make a typo, spelling mistake, punctuation error, etc., instead of correcting that mistake in your next post, you must now accept that as your position and argue from that position. For instance, in my cutlery thread, I accidently typed about the fork that you "can eat soupy things with it" instead of "can't." I then corrected myself. But with the new rule, I would have to argue, no matter what, that it is possible to eat soup with a fork. If you make a punctuation error, you must argue that that is the grammatically correct form of punctuation and use it from then on, and the same goes for spelling errors.
Mainly I'm tired of people needlessly correcting tiny and obvious mistakes by reposting them, but also I think this would be amusing.

Though, I like correcting myself, it makes me feel like someone is actually responding.

So can a moderator please add this to the FAQ? Ok thanks.

It would be amusing to magically see the results a year from now, with all of the piled-up corruption of spelling and ideas.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 24 September 2004 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Now you have to act like you meant to post that here, and not back down no matter what.
