I live in Baltimore, am able to travel to D.C. I've always been curious about these FAP things I hear so much about here. Make it happen!

peter smith (plsmith), Friday, 8 October 2004 16:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I live in Catonsville (Baltimore County).. I'm down for a show or something.

I'm in DC and have FAPped in the past.

j.lu (j.lu), Saturday, 9 October 2004 00:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey, I come to this a little late, but I'm definitely up for it.

And did this one ever happen?

Richard K (Richard K), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 02:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I just found this thread recently - BALTIMORE FAP AUGUST 2003
I'm kinda bummed I check ILE so rarely that I missed that one completely, I totally would've been up for it.

anyway yeah we really should do something. I'd definitely alert Tom Breihan, who used to post here but they firewalled him from ILX at work so he hasn't been here in a while.

Dude, you guys have horrible timing.

TOMBOT, Wednesday, 20 October 2004 12:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm in DC on "business" from Thursday to Tuesday. Where should I drink?

adam (adam), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 13:06 (twenty-one years ago)

umm, brickskellar (near dupont circle) has a lot of beers - lots of better small local places, though. pharmacy bar in adams morgan has a great jukebox. the red room at the black cat has a good jukebox, but the scenester quotient is a little out of hand most nights.

that said, town hall in college park is my bar of choice.

peter smith (plsmith), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 14:29 (twenty-one years ago)

adam you want to meet up? When do you arrive?

TOMBOT 64 (TOMBOT 64), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 14:32 (twenty-one years ago)

The real answer is the asylum anyway, duh

TOMBOT 64 (TOMBOT 64), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 14:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Peter Smith's choices are all good. I'd add Post Pub or Stoney's (for diveyness, plus journalists), the bar at the Hay-Adams (for opulence and officialdom), and The Tombs (for collegiateness/colonialness).

gabbneb (gabbneb), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 14:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes! Yes! Let's do this! Adam, where are you staying?

j.lu (j.lu), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 15:00 (twenty-one years ago)

im up for this - somebody choose a place and time this weekend.

peter smith (plsmith), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm actually going to be at the Brickskeller with people on Sunday probably.

Al (sitcom), Wednesday, 20 October 2004 22:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I feel compelled to point out that I am not ILX-superstar Nordicskillz/AdamL/etc but merely meek longtime ILXor Adam from New Orleans. That said FUCK YES I WOULD LIKE TO DO SOMETHING.

I'm staying with my parents in Silver Spring (which has changed and it WEIRD AND NEW AND CRAPPY now). The only obligations I have are this stupid ass conference tomorrow morning and family time at some point. I know my way around DC pretty well (I lived here for 15 years) so I (and my girlfriend) are up for pretty much anything. Drop me a line at hexenduction at g mail dot com... also I will check back with this thread periodically.

adam (adam), Thursday, 21 October 2004 14:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Also I need to buy records as there are 0 good record stores in New Orleans. Where's good, preferably near Foggy Bottom (or Georgetown or Dupont) as that is where my meeting thing is?

adam (adam), Thursday, 21 October 2004 14:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I think it'd be funny if suddenly all the offers to hang out were retracted.

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 21 October 2004 14:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't want any misunderstandings! We've been confused before.

adam (adam), Thursday, 21 October 2004 15:36 (twenty-one years ago)

And also I would cry.
