As always, a great mix of vilified toffs, past-it embarrasments and models you've never heard of. Joe Pasquale, Brian Harvey and that Irish bloke with the awful haircut actually seem like decent sorts on one episode's evidence, as does Vic Reeves' missus. Janet Street Porter's got the most annoying voice of anyone ever, but we knew that already. Favourite moment so far: when the Appleton started freaking out because she touched a tree.

I was just going to start this myself.

Appleton and the tree the first laugh-out-loud moment of the series thus far. Viewer/voter lines seem clearly drawn from the outset though - for Appleton because it's be funny, or Burrell because they hate him? I guess later days will decide.

It was worth watching the ITV2 programme that followed, just to see the car-crash that is TPT. I'll be amazed if she still isn't on the marching powder, given last night's performance.
