Merry celebration of some sort of holiday on or about the winter solstice.

This is the Thread Where We Say Pt. 25: Yeah, um, good thanks...

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:11 (twenty years ago)

Word 'em up!

Huk-L, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:14 (twenty years ago)

Just posted this on the other one, but I found some crazy pics of my old band online:
http://www.angelfire.com/indie/pjsykes/bands/theid/theid01a.jpg
http://www.angelfire.com/indie/pjsykes/bands/theid/theid03a.jpg

Also, the grad school program I am somewhat curious would cost about $60,000 total (with books, room & board, etc) for a one-year program. Is this normal? That sounds fucking insane to me.

n/a (Nick A.), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:15 (twenty years ago)

for grad studies in English?

Huk-L, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 18:17 (twenty years ago)

So, did you ever just start popping & locking at your desk and human beat-boxing and stuff? I just did. For NO reason. Everyone was staring at me.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:01 (twenty years ago)

yeah what school/program is that? then again I wouldn't be surprised if you said SAIC.

My boss did eventually call (for those of you following this inane storyline from the other thread) and gave me work to do. But there has still been much faffing, oh yes. And more will follow. On one of my "errands" this pm, I rounded it off by buying myself a new pair of trainers. Tis the season.

Some xmas cheer for y'all: http://www.forgotten-ny.com/bronxxmas/pelhamxmas.html

In other news, I now have to write an email telling one of our artists to send us what he has and not bother doing any more work, since he's done so little to date and he's supposed to be full-time. I'm supposed to say this nicely/whatever but it feels like firing someone to me and I am all of a sudden paralyzed about what to write. I sort of think this would be better coming from my boss, but it's been delegated to me. Tactful suggestions please?

sgs (sgs), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:04 (twenty years ago)

btw I should've just signed myself,

"Remember when you were a kid and you wanted to sit around and do nothing all day? NOW YOU CAN!"

Huk-L, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:07 (twenty years ago)

Is it at Northwestern? It is bloody expensive because it's a "private" university.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:07 (twenty years ago)

I misread that as "pirate" university.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:09 (twenty years ago)

I'd hope it was private because if that was public, yeurgh.

I am here! But I am busy with work. Feh!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:16 (twenty years ago)

I think it is, joce.

I actually had to do some work for a while today! HARUMPH! I'm back to slacking now though.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:24 (twenty years ago)

I finished my giant project! Round of drinks for everyone!
I looked at Northwestern's cost and my eyes about fell out of my head, esp. compared to U of C.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:28 (twenty years ago)

now i wanna go to pirate university. i wonder if at orientation they immediately rip out an eye and amputate a leg, thereby readying you for the patch/peg leg combo. ooh, and you get a parrot. sort of like the owls at hogwarts.

Emilymv (Emilymv), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:31 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, it was the journalism school at Northwestern. I hadn't thought about the private/public university thing, DUH I AM DUMB. I wonder if I qualify for in-state tuition for Illinois yet. Probably.

n/a (Nick A.), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:34 (twenty years ago)

argh.

I think I'm settling on something like: [boss] asked that you go ahead and send us what you've done to date, [boss] has the rest of the designs covered b/t the other artists, so go ahead and finish up and invoice [production company] for your time.
(in slightly different wording. does the message come through?)

sgs (sgs), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:39 (twenty years ago)

That's pretty slick. It seems more like an invitation to ask for his money than an invitation to eff right off.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 19:49 (twenty years ago)

i sent it.

in the mean time, I can't believe it's 8pm and I'm STILL AT WORK and have no need to be here this late. I am a dumbass.

But a dumbass with a fly pair of Stan Smith's to wear tomorrow!

sgs (sgs), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 20:01 (twenty years ago)

n/a, I almost went to NW j-school for undergrad, I couldn't believe the prices. What do you need to go to school for anyway?

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 20:15 (twenty years ago)

So I can have a career instead of a job. I have no special qualifications to do anything but shit office work for the rest of my life, so I feel like I need to do something to move me towards doing something interesting or fulfilling with my professional life. Going back to school seems like the most obvious way to do this.

n/a (Nick A.), Tuesday, 21 December 2004 20:32 (twenty years ago)

I threaten to go back to school all the time. It's not like I could be MORE broke, right? It could? Oh, geez, but at least, afterward I'd have REAL earning potential, right? I wouldn't? But I'd get to mack on impressionable young English Majors again, wouldn't I? Okay then, let's do it.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 21 December 2004 21:06 (twenty years ago)

Is this back on, then?

Casuistry (Chris P), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 00:56 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, it looks like ILX is back in normal operational mode at this time. Which means that maybe we'll be getting the usual amount of craziness pretty soon, unless people will be so busy with holiday-centered activities that this place will end up being not quite itself for a few days more. Oh well.

I really should be in bed at this time. I don't have any homework to keep me up until about 3 a.m., and I feel a general sense of exhaustion, but... I don't know. I think I'll just ramble on for a bit more and then, well, yeah.

n/a, good luck with your pursuit of grad studies! I myself went back to school after finding that the first degree I earned wasn't going to get me anywhere locally (I'd have to move to Houston or Dallas and, with family situations being the way they are, that'd be next to impossible), so I decided to go with something else that caught my fancy, and I think I'm doing pretty well at it thus far.

You know, I think I *am* going to crash for the night.

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 07:56 (twenty years ago)

Hi everyone! I played 8 hours straight of GTA:SA yesterday and I feel like a new man. But I want more! MORE!!!

Jesus Christ, Paraplegic (Mark C), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 10:54 (twenty years ago)

Morning all. I feel all disembodied and weird, not being able to log in :(

Off to my mum's tomorrow for Xmas. Matt and I have never cooked a Xmas dinner before, let alone in someone else's kitchen, so that should be interesting...

Archelll, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 11:00 (twenty years ago)

Dee you are a hero for saving those lost days, I love you as always!!

Loads of ppl on these threads at the moment, all good for sure. I see Lauren & Emily! *waves*

Howdie to the regulars!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 11:06 (twenty years ago)

Howdy right back Pink! and everyone. My new shoes are very squeaky.

sgs (sgs), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 11:18 (twenty years ago)

Are those the ones you posted before Sarah? If so they were truly lovely! Just as a matter of interest, can you see on the new answers page when there are unread new answers on a thread?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 11:25 (twenty years ago)

fuck school become a carpenter like me.

Big Baby Bingo (Chris V), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 11:29 (twenty years ago)

My newest shoes are these babies...

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 11:35 (twenty years ago)

Hi Pink! Andrew's disabled that feature for now, apparently, as it was causing problems. Not that I'd noticed anyway since I am in the logged out wilderness...

Archelll, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 11:35 (twenty years ago)

Hi Archel, how are you? Haven't spoken in ages, what's new?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 11:45 (twenty years ago)

Not much dude, sooo bored at work since all the students buggered off for the holiday. Eating lots of choccies though!

How are James and the kitties? Are you at home for Xmas or doing the family rounds?

Archelll, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 11:47 (twenty years ago)

no Pink, those brown ones are lovely but gave me the sore toes.

I got these yesterday:
http://www.schuhstore.co.uk/images/product/3404981620.jpg

I haven't had white sneakers in ages! walking around today I keep thinking my feet are glowing.

sgs (sgs), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 11:58 (twenty years ago)

James & kitties are fine thanks. Although, the kitties are quite big now tbh!! Mungo is a huge fluffball bless him! We are at visiting James' folx on Christmas day morning & then off to my folx in the afternoon/eve. We are then having our own day with the kitties on the Monday. I am really looking forward to everything this year. My mum finishes her radiation treatment on Christmas eve, so it's like a double celebration this year! Are you going to your mums?

Nice shoes sarah!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 12:09 (twenty years ago)

We're going to mum's tomorrow until Boxing Day am. Then to Matt's parents from Wed-Fri arrgh.

Hope your mum has an extra good relaxing Christmas!

Archelll, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 12:24 (twenty years ago)

ARGH I have just found out that this one project I've been working on may've been fucked up to great expense. I don't really think it was my fault--case of a printer doing way more printing than necessary, but they are going to be mad at me when they call back I fear, and I feel bad that they mistakenly did way more work than they should've. UGH.

sgs (sgs), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 12:28 (twenty years ago)

Archel - do you get on with matt's parents?

Sarah - will you have to explain the mistake to them?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 12:30 (twenty years ago)

Yeah I will--I am trying to brace myself so that I can calmly talk about how they read the wrong post-it notes in the negative packets. This is so absurdly understandable that I will have to keep reminding myself to stand my ground--that I thought I had explained clearly. I totally took them out and showed them--and they didn't have me fill in any forms, but nodded along like they understood.

sgs might hyperventilate (sgs), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 12:32 (twenty years ago)

Try not to stress about it too much S, if it's their fault!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 12:35 (twenty years ago)

I get on with them in that they're nice people, but we don't have that much in common. And they're not a bunch of rowdy alcoholics at Christmas unlike me and my family, wahh :(

Good luck sgs!

Archelll, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 14:14 (twenty years ago)

Good morning.

Huk-L, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 14:41 (twenty years ago)

Morning Huck, how are you petal?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 14:55 (twenty years ago)

I'm not sure. I have the next two days off, and I'm still way ahead of my work for the day, so I should be happy, but I know that the next two days are just going to be stress-filled shopping nightmares, and my 21 yr-old brother (my only sibling out of three in the same town anymore!) would rather hang out with his girlfriend than hang out with me. I don't get it.

How are you, sugarplum?

Huk-L, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 15:07 (twenty years ago)

Aw, radio 1 is playing Stay Another Day! I love this song despite it being incredibly rubbish. Getting in the festive mood now :)

Archelll, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 15:46 (twenty years ago)

Do any of you Brits love Bargain Hunt--or more to the point, David Dickinson--as much as I do?
http://www.ofah.net/images/filming4.jpg

Huk-L, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 15:52 (twenty years ago)

Morning kiddles. In my quest to further my quota of jackassery, I left my parents' house two days ago without my apartment keys. I noticed this yesterday at the holiday lunch right after my boss told me she loved me and I kissed the VP good-bye. Clearly, my mind is gone, never to return.

Je4nne ƒury (Jeanne Fury), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 15:56 (twenty years ago)

So have you just been sleeping on the subway?

Huk-L, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 15:58 (twenty years ago)

Haha, Matt bumped into (literally) David Dickinson in Brighton when they were filming Bargain Hunt here. But although he was the ironic student icon of choice for a while there, I must say I have tired of him at this point.

Archelll, Wednesday, 22 December 2004 15:59 (twenty years ago)

No, I had to take the bus back to my parents' house.

Je4nne ƒury (Jeanne Fury), Wednesday, 22 December 2004 16:02 (twenty years ago)

That working at home thread makes me want to quit my dayjob and work at home ALL DAY.

Huk-L, Monday, 17 January 2005 20:54 (twenty years ago)

Yeah, I know, right, Huk? Because, it's not like it's a REAL job or anything... (ha ha j/k)

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 17 January 2005 21:20 (twenty years ago)

Neither is "this."

Huk-L, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 04:56 (twenty years ago)

Aww Luna, I hope things pick up for you!

Archel - how was the dam?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 09:54 (twenty years ago)

Hi Pink. Hi everyone.

Amsterdam was great - although they were building a new metro line RIGHT outside our hotel so it was kind of noisy. Matt bought a nice manbag in Hennes, we went to the Van Gogh museum and on a canal trip, and of course vegetated in coffeeshops playing backgammon and doing crosswords. I recommend La Tertulia.

This morning we went to register to get MARRIED. That was exciting! But nobody told me they take you into spearate rooms and ask you questions about each other like on Green Card! Fuck! We both got each other's job title wrong but hey, they're still letting us get married. In July. Woo!

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 12:03 (twenty years ago)

Really? But yay archel!!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 12:27 (twenty years ago)

I've been offline since my computer started dying last Friday - I'm posting this from work, but I have a new computer at home, so I hope to get my email started again this evening. I've felt really isolated. I visited here first, and I'm disappointed and surprised at how little there is!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 13:05 (twenty years ago)

I know what you mean Martin, this is pretty much the only thread I keep up with in ILX now! Still, how are you doing?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 13:12 (twenty years ago)

A coworker was just griping to me about the "blizzard of paperwork" involved in getting the health benefits reimbursement. Because I do the mail. I stopped myself short of "I don't even get benefits you fucking arrogant cocksucker."
Because, clearly, that's no way to start your day.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 14:41 (twenty years ago)

But on the bright side, it was +1 C when I left home this morning.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 14:42 (twenty years ago)

Personally, I HAVE to start my day by calling someone a cocksucker. But maybe that's just me. My job is sinking to new levels of crap today. Half of our SELF-STUDY centre has been taken over by teaching, hence I am dealing with dozens of angry students with NOWHERE to go. I started eating a bagel for lunch (at my desk) at 12.30 and couldn't finish it until 2.30, I was that busy. Plus all the tutors are sending students to us with instructions to watch 'some Spanish video'. Any idea which of the 150 Spanish videos that would be? 'No, my teacher said you would know what I meant'. HA! HA! And none of the DVD drives work and my stapler is dying.

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 15:59 (twenty years ago)

That's when you throw the contents of the reserve shelf at them and yell "You're actually supposed to do research in college, I don't know nothing about no steekin' Spanish video! Ya cunts!" And then proceed to unravel the contents of the all the Psych tapes on hold and dance.

jocelyn (Jocelyn), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 16:05 (twenty years ago)

Oh man, I've got a wisdom tooth coming in (should this still be happening at 27?) and it hurts like a bitch!

Huk-L, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 16:52 (twenty years ago)

Ouch! I have one which comes through a bit every few years - agony - then just decides to stop and stay where it is. Weird.

I like that idea Jocelyn! As soon as I sent that last post, a tutor came in and INSISTED that I keep her own copy of [Spanish film title deleted due to paranoia] behind the desk to hand out to students even though we have two copies in our collection already. Well fine if you MUST give me more work, but don't blame me if they get mixed up or stolen, lady. Hm that gives me an idea...

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 17:12 (twenty years ago)

I have a wisdom tooth that has poked it's top bit above my gum but hasn't moved any further. It's not sore right now and hopefully never will be - the dentist wasn't certain that I'll get away with it, but I'm sure I'll find out soon. last time I had a wisdom tooth out it cost me £10 PER SECOND. Admittedly it only lasted 20 seconds but still - most expensive service ever!

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 17:17 (twenty years ago)

I have a job interview today and I have NOTHING TO WEAR.

luna (luna.c), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 17:19 (twenty years ago)

You're a shoo-in!

Huk-L, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 17:30 (twenty years ago)

Re: My tooth. Yeah, it's coming in straight and all that, and it sort of edges a few millimetres closer to the sun every year or so. But it's just killing me. Shooting pains all up the right side of my head and all that. If I was working at home, I could dowse it in whiskey and have a nap.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 17:33 (twenty years ago)

Luna, you're supposed to imagine *them* naked.

(though I like your tactic - hope it works for you!)

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 17:38 (twenty years ago)

Top o' the mornin' to you all.

I woke up before 5am in a lot of pain, including, but not limited to:
heart burn
stomach cramps
womanly cramps
dizziness
nausea

I kept rolling around in bed moaning (in a very unsexy way). I thought I might die. I'm such a wuss when it comes to pain.

The plus side is that I came in to work late. :-D

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 17:41 (twenty years ago)

I just popped a couple of extra-strength tylenols. I'm freaking losing it over here!

Huk-L, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 18:19 (twenty years ago)

Good luck, luna! For my last interview, I went to Express and bought some black dress pants. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 18:29 (twenty years ago)

Last night I was feeling particularly silly or something, so I went into a gay chat room that I used to hang out in many years ago, just to see what it was like these days. The Portland room was pretty dull, so I wandered over to the Sask room to see what was going on there. That was also somewhat dull but the people were more attractive and they were at least chatting. I wound up being chatted up by this Mexican guy who was studying French in Montreal. He only spoke French and Spanish, so we stuck to the language we were both worse at. (And it's true, it's easier to speak a foreign language with another student of that language than it is to speak it with a native, no matter what other languages that student speaks.)

So that was all pretty surreal. I never could figure out why he was in the Sask room to begin with, nor could he figure out why I was there, so it worked out.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 18:33 (twenty years ago)

Do I hear wedding bells?

Huk-L, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 18:38 (twenty years ago)

Wait, that's just the dull throb of my tooth.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 18:39 (twenty years ago)

good luck luna! my job interview I had for today got postponed again, but that's fine because maybe the company will be inclined to hire me out of guilt.

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 18:43 (twenty years ago)

The tylenols have worked, and it's so wonderful. You're all wonderful. Everything is wonderful!

Huk-L, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 20:10 (twenty years ago)

You used the ones with codeine, didn't you?

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 20:13 (twenty years ago)

Good luck for the job interview, Luna! You'll look fabulous whatever you wear, obviously.

All set up at home again now, waded through about 250 emails (over 200 actual emails to be read), and I'm now catching up on ILX. I'm not terribly well - last week's flu got really horrible before it started to fade, and I'm still coughing fairly badly now and then, and I'm still weak and tired - my first hot meal since last Wednesday will be ready in 13 minutes, and I'm not sure if I'll manage it. I've not racked up any sick days at work, and have now missed just two days in over three months, which is getting towards saving my job. I feel in a decent enough mood now that I am back online.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 20:40 (twenty years ago)

I just lost (well, gave up on) a debate with a lady who was trying to tell me that her Christian thing shouldn't be listed under the "Church Events" section of the community events calendar I handle. She argued that since AA and the like are faith-based and they're listed in the "secular" section, her Christian discussion group should be too.
"It's not really the same," I tried to tell her.
"Well, have you ever been to one of our events?"
"I've never been to an AA meeting either, lady. But in the promotional booklet you've just given me, your group calls itself a Ministry."
"Well, we're reaching out to people who wouldn't otherwise set foot in a church!"
"So, um, no offense here, you're trying to hide the fact that you're a Christian group?"
"My word, sir! We're doing nothing of the sort!"
"Um, okay, look, I can run these under the main heading, I really don't care."
"Maybe you'll think of joining us?"
"Yeah, maybe."

Huk-L, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 20:48 (twenty years ago)

You're going to run in the "church" section, anyways, right?

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 21:38 (twenty years ago)

Guys, I have a confession to make. I've actually been on ILX all this time to sneak in bits of my ministry.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 21:45 (twenty years ago)

Testify.

Casuistry (Chris P), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 21:47 (twenty years ago)

Amen, Brother Chris! Praise the Lord!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 21:50 (twenty years ago)

I did a google of the group (it's a very large non-denom group that seems mainly popular in UK and Canada--it has a Greek name). And it seems really creepy. It's designed to seem very non-threatening, which, in my experience, means it's very threatening.

Oh, and I cut my radio show back to one hour a week, beginning sometime. Whenever someone new is ready to come in. Which will probably be never. The other folks on the programming committee are probably just humouring. Like the time I tried to quit.

Huk-L, Wednesday, 19 January 2005 04:05 (twenty years ago)

Hi Martin, glad you're back online and hope you feel better soon.

I'm veering between two moods today - happiness because of getting married (planning invitation designs as I write) and anxiety because this morning I'm attending the video ID parade where I may or may not see the man who mugged me. At least it is just looking at pictures on a screen though, not seeing him in the flesh. But basically if I can't pick him out then there's no case.

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 10:01 (twenty years ago)

I hope the interview went well Luna.
I hope you are feeling better soon Martin.

Try to be strong Archel, i'll be thinking of you!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 10:23 (twenty years ago)

Well I managed that hot meal, and I managed the ham & cheese ciabatta I routinely have for lunch (threw some away the last two days), so I think I'm on the mend. I feel okay other than a bit weak, really.

Good luck, Archel.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 13:25 (twenty years ago)

Well, that was extremely unfun. However, both the other witness and I picked out the 'right' man ie the suspect. So that's a positive development.

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 13:48 (twenty years ago)

Good work, Archel!

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:02 (twenty years ago)

Archel Avenger!

Huk-L, Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:04 (twenty years ago)

hi guys. i am so bored. been wasting the time playing online poker. whats new?

Big Baby Bingo (Chris V), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:11 (twenty years ago)

Not much. Oh, I did become President-For-Life of Planet Earth yesterday, but, uh, it's no big deal, really. I mean, I'm still the same guy. It's just that now you are all my slaves and must spend the rest of your retched lives paying tribute to my largesse.

Huk-L, Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:13 (twenty years ago)

You want us to retch on your largeness? Whatever you say, your Hugenificence.

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:22 (twenty years ago)

Chris, are you still winning ca$$$h? Cos if so, this enforced rest could make you the richest man in the world!!!

Markelby (Mark C), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:40 (twenty years ago)

Chris, I'm sorry you're bored. Is some of this paid time off?

Sarah McLusky (coco), Wednesday, 19 January 2005 15:48 (twenty years ago)

I think I missed something. Chris are you injured?

The interview was okay - I didn't get a strong feeling about it one way or another. They're supposed to be contacting people for second interviews later this week or early next, so we'll see whether or not I wowed 'em.

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey was directed by sgs's current boss, Archie! It's a great film - that's my recommendation.

(Chris was hurt in a car accident - there's a thread about it here)
