two weeks pass...
1 ft of ice/snow at my parents' house. the patio awning (supported by a large, iron frame) collapsed this morning under the weight, crushing a set of furniture and taking out a light fixture resulting in random live wires. this is why people move to arizona.

We had flurries Saturday morning. Nothing too soul-crushing, though. It's been cold, is all. But today is beautiful again. Hooray.

Boo Hoo Hoo snow. Pussies.

Tornados, now there's something to bitch about.

dan m (OutDatWay), Monday, 25 April 2005 17:04 (twenty years ago)

On Friday evening, this storm front swept across Kentucky, it was one of the wickedest things I've ever seen, this dense blanket of the blackest, thickest clouds, like, EVER, creeping across what HAD been a bright blue sky. There were tornado warnings all over the TV channels, they said there would be lightning, hale, etc etc.

There was like two lightning flashes and about 17 snow flakes. Weak. If you're gonna try to be all menacing on your intro, storm, BRING IT.

laurence kansas (lawrence kansas), Monday, 25 April 2005 17:15 (twenty years ago)

I'm in Florida and we were fucking four degrees colder than International Falls, Minnesota this morning. What a weird day.

happy fun ball (kenan), Monday, 25 April 2005 18:35 (twenty years ago)

It was weird, yesterday we had six inches of snow, which had all melted away by this morning. And it was 80 degrees last weekend! Even for Michigan this was kind of strange.

Leon Future Coffee (Ex Leon), Monday, 25 April 2005 18:36 (twenty years ago)
