s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 18 April 2005 17:54 (twenty years ago)

Gosh, I was just thinking how full my next few weekends are going to be, actually! Then again it's also all building up to July. :-)

Right now there are a few things coming up that I *hope* will be particularly exciting but right now they all depend on other people, like the agent a friend of mine knows etc.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 18 April 2005 17:54 (twenty years ago)

kung fu hustle?

phil-two (phil-two), Monday, 18 April 2005 17:55 (twenty years ago)

I'M EXCITED ABOUT NED'S IMMEDIATE FUTURE!!!

Samuel Glickstein (nordicskilla), Monday, 18 April 2005 17:57 (twenty years ago)

watch the yearly tournament of the national basketball association of america. formerly known as "cagers", the world-renown athletes who comprise this gentlemen's society dazzle and delight with their high-flying gymnastic vercisitude.

()ops (()()ps), Monday, 18 April 2005 17:57 (twenty years ago)

You damned liar, Samuel. (Unless you're really excited about the thirty minute lunch break walk I'm about to take.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 18 April 2005 17:57 (twenty years ago)

Oh my friend Ben is coming to visit, that's exciting!

Samuel Glickstein (nordicskilla), Monday, 18 April 2005 17:58 (twenty years ago)

Why don't you make a plan? Like "I'm going to buy a six-foot bong in Mid-May and bring it to Santa Cruz in my folk's car," or something. Something to count the days in anticipation, to feel the color in your cheeks.

andy --, Monday, 18 April 2005 17:59 (twenty years ago)

no way, nascar sucks.

KENTUCKY DERBY, however, is fun.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:03 (twenty years ago)

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:04 (twenty years ago)

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:07 (twenty years ago)

Curious George (1/6 Scale Model) (Rock Hardy), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:09 (twenty years ago)

Yes, BASEBALL seconded. Especially: BASEBALL CHICKS WITH BIG HAIR DRINKING 64 OZ DIET COKES.

57 7th (calstars), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:09 (twenty years ago)

I went fishing in Alameda yesterday by the big Mothball navy ships. We almost caught a three foot SHARK but it jumped the line when we tried to get it on the dock.

andy --, Monday, 18 April 2005 18:10 (twenty years ago)

You should plan a party! Or better yet, convince a friend to throw a party.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:10 (twenty years ago)

did you see the nuklear wessels?

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:10 (twenty years ago)

convince a friend to throw a party.

This would be good. None of my friends seem like party-throwers, though!

Samuel Glickstein (nordicskilla), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:11 (twenty years ago)

jel -- (jel), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:15 (twenty years ago)

This would be good. None of my friends seem like party-throwers, though!

jaymc (jaymc), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:15 (twenty years ago)

Miss Misery (thatgirl), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:27 (twenty years ago)

I'm excited about Mandee's summer visitors too! Adam, you should try Fruit Alsorts sometime, they would maybe excite you?

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:55 (twenty years ago)

tomorrow's my mom's birthday.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 18 April 2005 18:57 (twenty years ago)

The new Missy album is well worth looking forward to.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 18 April 2005 19:04 (twenty years ago)

$V£N! (blueski), Monday, 18 April 2005 19:09 (twenty years ago)

I'm also excited to see HOUSE OF WAX!! I'm also excited to start KNITTING A NEW SCARF!! I'm ALSO excited to go home tonight and see my CAT!

jill schoelen is the queen of my dreams! (Homosexual II), Monday, 18 April 2005 19:25 (twenty years ago)

I'm really not excited about anything. that ben & jerry's bit was only mildly interesting.

Miss Misery (thatgirl), Monday, 18 April 2005 19:27 (twenty years ago)

Samuel Glickstein (nordicskilla), Monday, 18 April 2005 19:46 (twenty years ago)

my birthday is next monday, im not excited for that.

jill schoelen is the queen of my dreams! (Homosexual II), Monday, 18 April 2005 19:50 (twenty years ago)

I desperately need something to get excited about, to look forward to, as well. I feel as if my life has been about treading water to survive for a couple of years, and I feel a bit better, a bit stronger now - but my life is still mostly empty, and I have to do my best to change that while I have the chance. Whether I will, and if so how, is harder to sort out.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 11:43 (twenty years ago)

Various walks and excursions. That means I have something little to look forward to every week, which is good for the near future. When I start to think about the long-term future I get the same kind of dizziness that I get when I think about quantum theory and I don't like that.

So I'm thinking things like "walk and BBQ on Saturday, hurrah. Buy runner beans and I will have yummy food in a few months". Short term goals are good.

Lapdog Shoesnog (kate), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 12:06 (twenty years ago)

I think these last two posts are missing the point of the original question, as Samuel asked for something he could look forward to.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 12:08 (twenty years ago)

why not plan a trip?

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 12:11 (twenty years ago)

that's what i do when i'm feeling depressed.

the lack of vacation opportunity due to work pressure is probably what's causing me being miserable just now.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 12:12 (twenty years ago)

Adam why not spend the next few months making a music video or short film? Then you could look forward to basking in the warm glow of having created an artwork and savour people's reactions to it.

$V£N! (blueski), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 12:15 (twenty years ago)

You should go hike the Appalachian trail! Or at least the last 100 miles of it later in the summer. Or maybe the first 100 miles of it, maybe it's prettier down south at this time of year.

Maria (Maria), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 12:24 (twenty years ago)

I have a Visitor/visitor this weekend! And three weekends away visiting people all around the country! And, er, a business trip to Coleraine.

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 12:26 (twenty years ago)

I have my ultimate demise

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 12:28 (twenty years ago)

isn't that a what's it called?

$V£N! (blueski), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 12:29 (twenty years ago)

I am excited about maybe working here this summer. (It's good to be excited about the work because the vacation's looking like it's going to involve wisdom teeth leaving my mouth.)

Maria (Maria), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 12:30 (twenty years ago)

I didn't mean demise

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 19 April 2005 12:32 (twenty years ago)
