no, I would say not. Even those ppl who post regularly who have a bit of a rep for being irritating I can generally just regard as funny or say "Silly boy" or "Silly girl" to myself about and that's the sum of it. However, I often type something out and think "Hah that will piss people off, better not post it". And so I don't. And maybe these things are connected.

Playing in the park is "The Shore" and "Ari Hest" - both of which I had never heard of before. Amazing, amazing stuff. I go buy CDs from both groups, because the possibility of not finding them on the iTunes Music Store is too much to bear (yup, they're both there... which means I paid $8 more than I had to for CDs I'll end up tossing in the garbage after I've ripped them). I cannot recommend these astounding musicians highly enough. "The Shore" is kind of an inspired blend of Oasis and The Verve. "Ari Hest" has lush vocals that pierce your very soul...

I posted a completely asinine (sp?) comment the other day and someone called me a troll. Seeing as I'm completely new to posting comments on the web, I really have no idea what a troll is. A real troll is someone who posts provactive or absurd statements that they may or may not actually agree with in order to generate responses from people who should really know better. ILX uses to mean "someone who posts something I disagree with".

For example, the ILM thread about how people who claim to be music fans should own turntables if they wanted to be taken seriously was textbook trolling.

NO, THIS IS NOT A TROLL. Momus would be closer to the true meaning of a troll, as would maybe trife, or even Geir Hongro. People who say purposefully inflammatory things to supposedly stir debate (but start shitfights instead usually).
