I think I (and others) could certainly benefit from saying this more. It can also lead to less embarrasing situations where you start to bullshit on about a topic you slowly realise you know nothing about. I guess its that dangerous mixture of pride, vanity and ego.

the ability to make up a bunch of bullshit opinions about whatever topic people happen to be talking about has its advantages and its drawbacks. you can easily lose track of what you actually know and what you've made up and say a bunch of half-baked bullshit that irritates people who actually know/care about the topic at hand. it seems like a talent of the bloviated spielers more so than the quickwitted, who are often pretty judicious about what things they actually talk about.
