Why are there so few lesbians on ILX?

I mean, there are at least a dozen or so gay guys, which seems roughly statistically correct. Or maybe there are as many lesbians on here but they just don't flaunt it.

So why are there virtually no lesbians on ILX? I can think of only one, but perhaps there are others, not more than you can count on the fingers of one hand though. It's interesting that this just gets joke responses about lesbians as a straight male porn fantasy or as the butt of a catchphrase. If someone brought up some issue vis-à-vis male gays or male gay culture (see Brokeback homophobia thread) it would get treated much more seriously I imagine.

For a while (sophomore and junior year), every girl I fell for ended up being a lesbian. I later realized it was not just a convenient excuse, it's a whole personality (stereo)type I found myself attracted to-- young, bookish, good taste in music, politically informed, feminist, with an appreciation for the arts etc... Take all the women who meet those criteria, and you'll likely find a higer-than-normal proportion of lesbians. It is surprising that more don't post to ILX, as it would be their ideal type of environment.
