Of all the horrible things that have happened this week why does this one bother me the most?

i thought by the thread title this might be more light-hearted.

maybe it bothers you the most cos it's something happening far far away within a culture alien to us? hrmmm.

Actually the thread title was inspired by this other thread...
Could you forgive and forget?
...and the whole idea that without forgiving (although not necessarily forgetting) is where we end up? And the fact that teenagers are involved in both obviously.

"is THIS where we end up?" it should be...

Teenagers are dumb.

Jane Austen, Jr., Wednesday, 3 May 2006 09:30 (nineteen years ago)

Is that a universally acknowledged truth?

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Wednesday, 3 May 2006 09:39 (nineteen years ago)

Pretty much, I think, yes.

Wow I read that story in disbelief and thank god I live where I do.

Teenagers are not dumb by any means, they are constantly pushing limits and testing boundries set by familys, then outside the family circle, by the law or the country in which you live.

Thankfully we don't live in Africa or my son would have been severely punished before the "missing" jewellery had turned up!

Thankfully, not all of Africa is ruled by Islamic courts.

Not yet anyway...
