or bush wanted a closer PNAC-type in there, despite Goss's efforts to idealogically purify & politicize the CIA.

anyway, i think the "turf war w/ negroponte" thing is a convenient almost-but-not-completely bullshit cover, and it's the watergate/duke cunningham ho-usin' thing about to blow up which is why he got the FUCK out of there. Not even waiting for his successor, etc.

let's see if this or Rep. Kennedy's rehab treatment gets more airtime on the sunday shows.

oh yeah, and in other news, thursday was the 36th anniversary of the Natl Guard shooting 4 kids at Kent State.
