Well I can't speak for everyone who posted there but for me it was just a thread for ongoing, general conversation. Much like some of the regional threads are today.

That being said it's pretty fucking stupid, I mean you'd think that having 95% of Kenan's posts contained in one, easily ignorable thread would be preferable to creating some beef with Chicagoans if Kenan was such a horrible, horrible person but whatever.

I'm getting envious of all these NYC get-togethers. I want to have a huge, all-out Chicago FAP sometime soon -- an all-night extravaganza that consists of more than Kenan and I getting a six-pack and watching HBO, okay? That means that the following people are invited: Kenan Hebert, Brian Nemtusak, Ann Sterzinger, Mr. Diamond, Oops, JuliaA, Sarah Pedal, Melissa W, Todd Swiss, and whomever else I've forgotten. What do you all think? Should we just wait until the inevitable "Welcome NA and Sarah McLusky" bash in January?

I've always been up for a trivia night - is that a regular thing? 'Cause I like trivia and meeting new folks. Haven't been to Green Mill in ages, but I know my gal would love going - keep posting fun events (dates help for planning).

I was also thinking of the fact that if the point is to hang out with a large group and chit-chat, there might be better venues than a loud, crowded club. Better, perhaps, for the Unity FAP to be its own thing, without other distractions.

I did say that, didn't I. Still, meeting me is not the focus of the event nor would it EVER be. Good lord, who on earth would leave the house just for that? I wouldn't. A visiting ilxor playing with his awesome brass band might be a more effective draw.
