Basically my thoughts too.

naughty bell ringer (krakow), Sunday, 1 May 2011 22:40 (fourteen years ago)

glasgwegians have a long history of chucking things at police officers.

i was in queens park the same day and it was very placid.

Thousands of glaswegians drinking al fresco on a sunny day and bother broke out: pure shocked btw

It was hardly surprising, no. Still looks awful though.

naughty bell ringer (krakow), Sunday, 1 May 2011 22:55 (fourteen years ago)

It was "showing solidarity with Stokes Croft" according to the people down here defending that 'riot'. Looks pretty much the same, only with less fire.

(which is apparently a scene from new Ken Loach film The Angels' Share)

Alba, Monday, 2 May 2011 18:35 (fourteen years ago)

My mum has applied to be an extra in that, having finally descended into batty-old-woman mode and decided film extra is a thing she didn't even have on her bucket list but she needs to do anyway.

* hopes reading internet message boards isn't another one *

ailsa, Monday, 2 May 2011 19:00 (fourteen years ago)

I walked by while that was being filmed.Wednesday night, after celtic vs kilmarnock iirc.not likely to be inadvertent extra as I walked behind the only camera I saw.

tending tropics (jim in glasgow), Monday, 2 May 2011 19:02 (fourteen years ago)

I don't think they allow inadvertent extras if they can help it - I got caught up walking across the filming of some thing or other while walking across Glasgow Green once, and a guy came running after me afterwards and got me to sign a release form in return for a pound coin so I'd technically be a professional.

Ismael Klata, Monday, 2 May 2011 19:07 (fourteen years ago)

You should have haggled.
