Okey, i has never been a big fan of these monster rockers but after i heard this album i have been a quite big fan. There first and second albums only contained some good songs and most of the songs was really bad. This album got everything better, it got better mixing, better music, better vocals and better lyrics.
The whole album begins with an TV-News intro spoken by no less than Twisted Sisters frontman Dee Snider.
Then it kicks into a solid hardrock song namely The Deadite Girls Gone Wild.
But it's when the third songs things start to happen. The Kids Who Wanna Play with the Dead. It's got a good chorus and a nice hard rock riff. The Singing on this one is also a bit better than on the previous track.
It snows in Hell is a slower track and it's perfect after 2 faster songs. The Riff is a real "snow" riff. Catchy chorus to.
Who's your daddy is one of the heaviest tracks on the album and it's one of the weaker to. Good music and everything but the song is a normal Lordi song that would have fit in better on there previous album.
Okey, now the real part begins! On They Only Come Out at Night Mr. Lordi sings a duet with the former Accept singer UDO. And it's fits perfectly with the music. A catchy chorus and a nice solo is also a big plus.
The 2 next songs, Chainsaw Buffet and Good to Be Bad is 2 solid Lordi songs that fills out the album.
The Night of the Living Dead is the best song on the album in my opinion. It starts off with a riff that reminds me off a riff from Savatage's Gutter Ballet. Lordi has never sung as good on this song. And the chorus is very very cathcy!
Supermonstars is the heaviest song on this album and it's a little weak but a nice closer of the album.

If you liked the old albums you will love this one and if you don't like Lordi i think you shall give this album a shot cause it rocks!

P.S It was good that they didn't include there Hard rock Hallelujah on this album because it would have ruined the album.

Edit (The day after i had write the review). On my promo version it missed 2 songs which are with on the original and unfortunaly one of them were Hard Rock Hallelujah. And the second was Brining back the balls to the Rock, which are a completly normal Lordi song without anything special. Okey if i would have knowed that i would only had put 3,5 stars in rating but i let the rating stand.

I was watching the finals with a bunch of friends, and even though most of us are anti-nationalist hippies, this was probably the one and only time we were really cheering for Finland. And we don't even like heavy metal.

More objectively speaking, I thought Spain's song was the best. It was suprisingly low-key (especially for a song by Las Ketchup), the sound was nice and breezy, and the accordion chorus plus the "duty free!" chants were lovely. Okay, they're pretty bad singers, but so is Lordi.

Yeah, I think the Latvian acapella guys had the best show in all it's minimalism - everyone else had lights and dancers, they just had the little robot, and the small heart-shape balloon in end was quite touching.

Lithuania's song was a funny, well set-up joke, but in the end I think it was too much of a joke to win. As I said on the ILM thread, the Eurovision song contest is really about honest camp, and if the contestants start taking it too ironically, that's not a good thing. That's why I didn't really like Iceland's performer: she was basically mocking the people who enjoy this kind of show. At least Lithuania's humour wasn't condescending.

The Moldovan blokey looked like Sezer from Big Brother, and that put me off too much to listen to his song.

I also liked the German C&W dudes, especially the drummer who was quite scarily intensely into the whole thing. Las Ketchup's choreography was like a shit Girls Aloud before rehearsals to actually do any co-ordination. Their outfits were awful too.

I remember seeing Emma Bunton doing one of her perky MOR numbers one of the years we hosted it, and compared to whatever the fuck our entry was that year she came across as the best performer in the world singing the best song in the world. We have loads of artists and songs who could win it, we just don't employ them for some reason.

I thought Daz bottled it a bit in the performance - "Teenage Life" on record is terrific. Shades of tATu a couple of years ago.

Loved the Latvians - a real surprise.

Also loved the German country-pop.

Wife was keen on the Lithuanians and it worked a lot better than I thought it would.

But Lordi got our 25p.

And the sweet fruits of victory:

The Finnish city of Rovaniemi says it will name a square after monster rock band Lordi, its surprise Eurovision Song Contest winners.

The mayor of Rovaniemi - the band's hometown, located on the Arctic Circle - said the municipality wanted to honour its sons for their success.

The new square bearing Lordi's name will be part of the redevelopment of Rovaniemi's city centre.

The town - the regional capital of Lapland - lies on the Arctic Circle and describes itself as the home of the real Santa Claus.

In a statement issued to Finnish media the official Rovaniemi Santa Claus said: "Lordi's victory shows us that with hard work and belief in your own abilities even the greatest dreams come true."
