What would you like on your tombstone?

Yes, it would be funny to write "Pepperoni," but I mean the big marble thing that will mark your grave, not pizza.

Usually, it says something lame and impersonal like, "Beloved husband and devoted father," which sounds like something a reporter might say if you're gunned down in the street. What about if you're a big computer nerd with witty, funny friends? "This guy was the best, AFAIK. One in a million. A+++++++++" Or, "This fuckin' guy, I tell you!" if you hang out with goombas?

no, i mean i want that whole thread on my tombstone

Either that thread should be locked in your honor at such time or else you're going to save some extra cash to have your gigantic tombstone updated periodically.

I always liked this quote from Paul Eddington

On 30 October 1995, five days before his death, Eddington made an appearance with Jeremy Isaacs on the television series Face to Face, discussing his life, career and battle with lymphoma.[7] On that show, Eddington said, "A journalist once asked me what I would like my epitaph to be and I said I think I would like it to be 'He did very little harm'. And that's not easy. Most people seem to me to do a great deal of harm. If I could be remembered as having done very little, that would suit me."

it's alright, timber is quite cheap these days.

actually timber is pushing the boat out a bit, perhaps a nice square of laminated 'RIP etc, ya Legend!' card with a brick to weigh it down.

calzino, Friday, 23 March 2018 12:07 (seven years ago)

you could make a pretty good funeral pyre with a stack of pallets

I want my body encased in a gigantic lucite tombstone with a speech balloon painted near my head and a dry erase marker dangling from a string underneath.
