What is so oriental about the oriental flavor? and pork? Don't think so. Is TR the only food product that has Actually gone DOWN in price? Do all music related peoples eat this stuff? Must know situation here. What's the best "flavor" ?

My current quick Top Ramen recipe - a dollop of sesame oil in the water pre-boil, the flavor pack and a half handfull each of frozen shrimps and fresh bean sprouts and scallions (cut longwise) at the boiling point, reboil, add noodle, slurp everything, make a mess of self.

The quickest way I know of to up the "food" content in Ramen is to break an egg into the water when it's boiling and break it up with a fork. That makes pretty good soup - sort of egg drop Ramen.

Yeah and add frozen peas & carrots or whatever veggies on hand along with the egg. If you can't be bothered to actually cook or if you have to microwave something in 5 min. at work.

One of the greatest random phrases I've ever overheard in conversation -- from two kids looking at the ramen in the grocery store where I worked -- "Spicy chicken, bitch!" He was really animated about this, and I spent something like the next four years of my life saying "Spicy chicken, bitch" basically as an equivalent of "no shit."

once I had my card rejected trying to buy 4 packs of ramen. I was going to music school.

I cook my ramens these days by draining the water and frying them (touches of hot sauce? yes.)
