I guess it can be a dodgy subject for some, easy to mock, easier to ignore.

Last year my wife had a terrible pain in her side, which we figured was probably a pulled muscle, but which no amount of rest relieved. After suffering through it for several months, she finally went to the doctor, who performed X-rays, an MRI and a full bone scan so we could rule out the Big C. She was eating Tylenol like candy at this point, and the doctor prescribed harder stuff to help her sleep.

In the meantime, she and a bunch of her online friends who have always been open-minded to the concepts of psychic healing, energies, etc., organized a focused...healing, if you will, on behalf of one of their friends who was in the hospital. My wife was going to act as the director of the energies from about six people from all over the world who were going to send their healing energies, through her, to the sick friend. At scheduled time, suddenly my wife felt almost overwhelmed by energy, which she tried to send on to the sick friend. (Today she described it almost as feeling drunk.) The next day, the pain in her side was gone for good.

So, what's your experience along these lines?

Your shoulderblade is what got me thinking about starting this thread.

Bob was an average guy who worked as a mechanic. I knew him pretty well - he was my brother. He was an epileptic from the age of 19. One day there was a huge headache. It was diagnosed as a brain tumor. An operation removed most of it but it was declared a lost cause and maybe he had a month or so to live. So he went to a spiritual healer who really got him to think about his problem and he spent many evenings there with her. I don't know exactly what she did for him, but Bob was able to regain his life. The tumor disappeared for about 3 years and he lived those years as though nothing had ever happened. Interestingly, his epilepsy had also disappeared shortly after he began to see her. And I still don't know what to make of this.

When my sister was ill, a friend of the family who belived she had phychic healing powers offered her help. She came to our house performed her healing, as she was leaving she looked at my old dog, who was in good condition for her age, but was a bit slow moving around, and said she had some energy left and performed some healing on my dog. My dog died in her sleep about 3 weeks later. Not saying it is linked, but you won't catch me going to any phychic healers in the future unless they have obtained some kind of formal qualification from the phycics guild or something. My Sister is ok though, but mainly due to modern medicine (A bone marrow transplant)

I'm kind of surprised this thread didn't take off. Maybe it was the holiday lull.

I've not really gone down this road, but I have tried acupuncture when I was very ill a couple of years ago.

What about other people? Has anyone ever gone on a "spiritual retreat"?

Only when facing overwhelming spiritual force

I am thinking of trying acupuncture for my own shoulderblade problem. Doctors and steriods have helped in the past but I want to try something different. That doesn't really count as psychic healing thought . . .
