gem (trisk), Wednesday, 9 August 2006 06:53 (eighteen years ago)

There were far too many framed pictures of characters from "The O.C." in the foyer, mind you.

Domenico Buttez (ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!!), Wednesday, 9 August 2006 06:55 (eighteen years ago)

that lollypop chick that's in all the newspapers at the moment for some inexplicable reason

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 9 August 2006 06:56 (eighteen years ago)

And nobody laughed at my "Yasmin's going have to buy a vibrator, then" jokes!

Domenico Buttez (ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!!), Wednesday, 9 August 2006 06:58 (eighteen years ago)

i would have laughed. maybe they're a bit too 'serious' at ten.

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 9 August 2006 06:59 (eighteen years ago)

S- (sgh), Thursday, 10 August 2006 04:25 (eighteen years ago)

Man what a clusterfuck of a day work has been today :( I stepped in some very stinky metaphorical pooh over a nasty job.

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 10 August 2006 04:34 (eighteen years ago)

I also could have worded that post a little less fnarrily.

Trayce (trayce), Thursday, 10 August 2006 04:36 (eighteen years ago)

Me also. For a company that made a profit of about eight billion dollars last year, the Commonwealth Bank can be pretty incompetant.

S- (sgh), Thursday, 10 August 2006 05:04 (eighteen years ago)

I am listening to a new Motorhead track. I feel good all over. MMMM.

rattusnorvegicus (ratty!!), Thursday, 10 August 2006 05:30 (eighteen years ago)

i feel good too. i just got a job!

gem (trisk), Thursday, 10 August 2006 07:17 (eighteen years ago)

genital hyphys (haitch), Friday, 11 August 2006 05:50 (eighteen years ago)

Me, via message: Can you get me a kazoo if you're going past Volaris music?

Friend: Which key do you want it it?

WTF?

S- (sgh), Friday, 11 August 2006 06:14 (eighteen years ago)

Presumably kazoos come in different keys? Im' not sure how, seeing as they're only a single note. Maybe friend thot you meant a harmonica.

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 11 August 2006 06:34 (eighteen years ago)

kazoos are so the new hip thing aren't they?

rainy (rainy), Friday, 11 August 2006 08:56 (eighteen years ago)

they've all got 'em up at spectrum i'm told. goldfoot plays one.

wrist of oak (bulbs), Friday, 11 August 2006 09:01 (eighteen years ago)

Suddenly for the first time ever Embrace will be cool.

I'm down for runnin' up on them crackers in the city hall... (papa november), Friday, 11 August 2006 10:25 (eighteen years ago)

Frightening thought.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 11 August 2006 10:27 (eighteen years ago)

Trayce (trayce), Friday, 11 August 2006 10:52 (eighteen years ago)

Domenico Buttez (ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!!), Friday, 11 August 2006 23:53 (eighteen years ago)

congrats gem, how about some details

I scored a spot as associate to a judge on the WA supreme court court of appeal for next year. This is a bit of a coup so I'm really pretty excited about it.

gem (trisk), Saturday, 12 August 2006 06:24 (eighteen years ago)

hooray!

wrist of oak (bulbs), Saturday, 12 August 2006 08:21 (eighteen years ago)

yes hooray! now i don't have to worry too much about articles applications. if i don't get an offer, it won't really matter. so nice to get that pressure off my back. now if only i could get this pesky honours thingo finished...

gem (trisk), Saturday, 12 August 2006 08:32 (eighteen years ago)

Are you going the pervert the course of WA law? I hope you do!

Domenico Buttez (ESTEBAN BUTTEZ~!!!), Saturday, 12 August 2006 13:24 (eighteen years ago)

i hope so too! i'd like to be famous for being a law perv. if i'm not already.

gem (trisk), Sunday, 13 August 2006 07:36 (eighteen years ago)

"going the pervert"?

wrist of oak (bulbs), Sunday, 13 August 2006 09:22 (eighteen years ago)

I'm here.

I'm down for runnin' up on them crackers in the city hall... (papa november), Tuesday, 15 August 2006 23:52 (eighteen years ago)

i'm gonna do some work, see you maybe later

wrist of oak (bulbs), Tuesday, 15 August 2006 23:54 (eighteen years ago)

congrats gem, that is quite impressive.

rattusnorvegicus (ratty!!), Tuesday, 15 August 2006 23:55 (eighteen years ago)

So ILX fell over because it was mentioned in a newspaper? Feh!

Hi youze.

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 15 August 2006 23:59 (eighteen years ago)

no kittens for me please, i am a one-kitten woman. also kittens might find it difficult swimming across the sea.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 14 November 2006 21:22 (eighteen years ago)

Did somebody say photos?

These are my two:

http://static.flickr.com/85/214891636_ecbc6abbc1.jpg

That's Menocu, a Devon Rex.

http://static.flickr.com/98/214891634_cfe5087bd2.jpg

And Royce, a Manx.

It's a hard world for little things... (papa november), Tuesday, 14 November 2006 22:30 (eighteen years ago)

aw. i would love a kitten! but i love on a wetland/nature reserve. snakes eat kittens and kittens eat little native frogs and birds.

gem (trisk), Tuesday, 14 November 2006 23:56 (eighteen years ago)

You don't have to take your cat with you when getting it on

S- (sgh), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 00:07 (eighteen years ago)

Does Royce have no tail?

S- (sgh), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 00:07 (eighteen years ago)

haha. nice typo. poor kitten/snake would die of starvation if it was waiting for me to get lovin' so's it could get a snack.

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 00:08 (eighteen years ago)

what beautiful cats, kate! menocu looks intense.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 00:13 (eighteen years ago)

oops, got home late last night so forgot to upload. think we might need new pix anyway, those ones from last week with no flash didn't turn out so well!

H2-H4 (H2-H4), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 00:32 (eighteen years ago)

I ate a chocolate pizza last night. oh man.

H2-H4 (H2-H4), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 00:53 (eighteen years ago)

mojos

electric sound of jim [and why not] (electricsound), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:04 (eighteen years ago)

dare i ask what is a chocolate pizza?

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:06 (eighteen years ago)

JOY ON A PLAET! I would think.

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:07 (eighteen years ago)

yes!

could've been a bit bigger but it seems churlish to complain for $4.

H2-H4 (H2-H4), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:07 (eighteen years ago)

oh my god send me one now.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:17 (eighteen years ago)

i don't like chocolate or pizza. you can have mine as well lady ms lurex.

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:19 (eighteen years ago)

*completely revises opinion of gem*

estela (estela), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:23 (eighteen years ago)

Well Im not much of a choc fan myself, admittedly - I dont eat sweets at all really! But I can imagine for eg that Nutella on a pizza base dusted in icing sugar or something could be pretty good; if sickening.

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:29 (eighteen years ago)

to me that sounds completely revolting!

actually i don't mind that really thin based pizza from a woodfired oven. but only with minimal topping on it. and the topping would have to be savoury, not sweet.

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:33 (eighteen years ago)

Dammit now I am hungry.

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:37 (eighteen years ago)

i was imagining a sticky sort of chocolate ganache and sliced pears.

xp

i only like thin pizza with simple toppings too gem (revising the revision).

estela (estela), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:40 (eighteen years ago)

i would take the sliced pears, but have them with blue cheese instead of chocolate

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:43 (eighteen years ago)

maybe a walnut or two?

estela (estela), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:46 (eighteen years ago)

i'm not that into walnuts. i think of them as the geriatrics of nuts for some reason. no nuts... but some coriander pesto wouldn't go astray

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:48 (eighteen years ago)

EWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww bleeaaugh.

Normal basil pesto for me thanks. Or maybe ruchetta.

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:48 (eighteen years ago)

yum. now i'm bloody starving too! i only had brekky an hour ago.

gem (trisk), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 01:52 (eighteen years ago)

Does Royce have no tail?

Yup, no tail. He has a little fluffy stump, like a rabbit.

It's a hard world for little things... (papa november), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 02:01 (eighteen years ago)

My Yampy has a kink in the end of her tail and people always assume it got broken.. we had an accusing look from a vet once "did you shut it in a door?" No! She was bloody born like that, her brother (Edison Carter Turnipseed) had the same tail-bend.

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 02:45 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, I had a band over for a shoot earlier this year and the violinist kept accusing us of cutting Menocu's whiskers. It didn't seem to matter how many times I told her that the breed grew particularly brittle whiskers and that they simply snap off soon after growing, she was insistent and I only just managed to not smack her across the face.

It's a hard world for little things... (papa november), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 02:57 (eighteen years ago)

Menocu is quite geometrically pleasing. A good mix of the sharp and rounded between the two.

S- (sgh), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 03:12 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, I agree Sasha, you should see his back end though. It is caught somewhere between a thorax and a badonkadonk.

How odd, we just had a massive hailstorm here too. I went out to the garden while it was happening to check on my plants and got totally soaked. Hope the neighbours weren't watching.

It's a hard world for little things... (papa november), Wednesday, 15 November 2006 04:36 (eighteen years ago)

It snowed in Ballarat and Mt Hotham
