It's like, chicks doing raunchy dancing together should be all right, chicks doing some boxing should be all right, but somehow she's managed to make it all very not right.
the video for "dirrty": classic or CLASSIC

She's so OTT that drag queens probably think she's a bit much. And I do like the song "Dirrty".

Redman is a coup, though. Who produced the song, anyway?

Basically. She's gone so far over the top that she's now number 1. She's just exuding sleaze and wrongness all over the place, which matches up with the rough fuzz-thud of the music quite nicely. Also, as I've said before, it's a style that she carries off much more convincingly than her original "I'm virginal and pretty" pose (and no, I don't know why; if I had to guess, it's because she'd rather be a "bad girl" than a "good girl" and therefore puts more effort into it).
Contrary to popular belief, Justin Timberlake's "Drums!" is not the greatest moment in recorded music, it's Christina's "What?" at the end of "Dirrty".

Didn't you read the thread about the party Tracer went to, Dang? Reading that is helps explain why.

Xtina Aguilera was over at D****'s place last week!! Xtina's boyfriend was with her and when my friend's friend - who is very nice and smart and totally clueless abt pop culture - sat across from Xtina the boyfriend says "you have to PAY to sit there, you know". D****'s friend gets up - "Honey I don't have to pay to sit anywhere" and storms off to friend's room - "who is that TRAMP with the 13-year-old thug in there?" Among other quality moments: Xtina declined food from the kitchen in favor of dispatching 13yoT to the deli downstairs who returned with Chef Boyardee; Xtina meets D**** and barely nods to him - so he mentions that this is his HOME and WELCOME - and she backpedals into graciousness; Xtina and 13yoT do it in the bathroom. Mmmm goodness.

She came off as if she was TRYING to be sexually coy (not so much virginal, I agree; that was poor wording and more a comparison to Britney, whose early hits were all about begging boys to call her and apologizing for leading guys on).
I remember Tracer's story now! Xtina is so rock-n-roll.

What thread was the party story from, anyway? And how did I miss it? Was it during my vacation?
