Anybody have thoughts on the memphis goons?

It could be that it's the Beefheart influence on the Memphis Goons (who I first heard around the same time that I first heard Beefheart [lucky week at the used CD store]) that's given me that impression. I dunno.

The Teenage BBQ CD is swell. I particularly like "Brazen Man". I know there's lots more Memphis Goons stuff. I'd buy it if someone put it out.

But anyway, I bumped this because apparently there was a Goons release called PEPPO in 09. It's on Spotify, has some songs that are duplicates from Teenage BBQ but some new ones.

It's kinda weird I learned more about them in the last hour than I ever knew. Just picked up the CD back then cuz it looked cool was so mysterious.
