''Officer-er-er''

Kim Tortoise, Thursday, 5 June 2003 08:57 (twenty-two years ago)

That's children, not goats. You knew that.

Kim Tortoise, Thursday, 5 June 2003 08:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I can tell you the WORST songs with kids on them. Any of the kids on the Clash's Sandinista! Honestly, they sounded more stoned and out of it than the adults!

(Except for the immortal "that's it, I've had enough of singing now" line at the end.)

kate, Thursday, 5 June 2003 09:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I really like the kids on Sandinista, for some reason i always think it's Strummer's kids, even though i'm sure it's not.

Good kids = Isn't She Lovely by Stevie W; course all she's doing is mewling and puking, but man it's sweet.

Good kids also = first track off The Colour Of Spring.

Nick Southall (Nick Southall), Thursday, 5 June 2003 09:20 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't think it was Strummer's kids. For some reason, I seem to recall that they were either their keyboard player's kids or their producer's kids.

kate, Thursday, 5 June 2003 09:24 (twenty-two years ago)

Also, one of the creepiest song on John Frusciante's first solo album was made all the more creepy by the singing of a little girl on it. I don't remember the title though (the only song titles I can remember from that one are the Bad Brains cover "The Big Takeover" and "Your Pussy's Glued to a Building on Fire").

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 5 June 2003 14:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I also like the summery kids on A Man Called Adam's 'Estelle'.

I usually hate children

Ben Boyer, Thursday, 5 June 2003 23:59 (twenty-two years ago)

TMFTML is OTM about "The Kids"

destroy all others. children should not be allowed within 10 miles of a recording studio under any circumstances.
